400: Heavenly Ghost

Before prying open the spatial node, or rather, before seeing the red eyeball that squeezed out of space, Yang Dian had no confidence.

Upon arriving at the Ghost God Star wreckage, Yang Dian thought Earth was being targeted by a Great Star God, or that some civilization capable of traversing the Universe was about to reach the Solar System.

He was ready to convert all the silver Star Cores into Xinhuo Bases, then take all the Human Race and flee into the Universe to wander, or find a dead Star and modify it to live in.

People are the foundation.

As long as people are alive, anything is possible.

As long as they are alive, once they become stronger, it's not impossible to reclaim Earth.

When they die, everything is lost.

After following the vague fluctuations to the Ghost God Star wreckage, the sense of unease grew even stronger.

How did Ghost God Star perish?

Many Star dimensions overlapped, and numerous civilizations engaged in chaotic warfare.

The Ghost Gods of Ghost God Star died in battle, and the Star was devoured by other Stars, leaving only some remnants to fall into the dimensional rift, with one piece landing on Earth.

When he first arrived, Yang Dian even thought the Ghost God Star wreckage was bait, deliberately thrown into the dimensional rift by those civilizations engaged in dimensional warfare, to serve as a beacon for invasion.

Facts proved Yang Dian was overthinking.

Passing his head through the spatial node and looking down at the vast world beneath it, Yang Dian discovered that the Star initiating dimensional erosion against Earth was a Star that had only recently undergone a Qi Revival.

The entire Star had scarce Spiritual Qi, similar to Earth before it invaded the Lizardmen Alien Planet.

Each cubic meter contained only about one Spiritual Qi particle.

Vivid flowers cannot bloom on barren land.

Neither can Dragons be raised in a sewer.

If there were, it would be like Yang Dian or Dr. Bai, who had cheats.

The only things on this Star that Yang Dian found noteworthy were the grotesque life forms with a hint of Ghost God Qi, distributed throughout the world, and… the Star itself.

“Woo~~~”

As Yang Dian propped open the spatial node, the chilling wind howled louder and louder.

Like an bone-eroding cold wind blowing from the Hell of the Nine Nether, it swept towards Yang Dian in waves, trying to push him away from this world.

Amidst the howling wind, large ominous clouds inexplicably appeared in the sky, obscuring the blue sun.

At the same time, ripples spread around Yang Dian’s head in space.

The ripples turned into wrinkles, becoming eyelids.

A crimson eye, dripping with bloody tears, squeezed out of space and stared intently at Yang Dian.

Looking at the blood-red eye, Yang Dian curled his lips into a sinister smile.

“Ghost God?”

“If you’re dead, then you’re dead, why bother living again?!”

“Wouldn’t it be better to just stay on this Star and wait for death peacefully? How dare you provoke me?”

Before his words finished, a Dragon claw, clinging to the edge of the spatial node, had already reached into the Alien Planet, grabbing towards the bloody eye.

However, the Alien Planet’s suppression of Yang Dian was exceptionally strong.

The Qi and blood Dragon claw that reached into the Alien Planet began to rapidly dissipate under the Star’s suppression.

In the end, it only managed to leave a faint, six-colored claw mark on the bloody eye before completely vanishing between Heaven and Earth.

The eye, still dripping with bloody tears, remained silently emotionless.

But the entire Alien Planet’s magnetic field began to riot.

At this moment, the entire world was telling Yang Dian that it did not welcome him and intended to keep him out.

Clinging to the spatial passage, he tried to squeeze further in.

After realizing he truly couldn't squeeze through, Yang Dian surveyed the Alien Planet.

His gaze lingered on the survivor camp for a moment before fixing back on the bloody eye.

“Wait for me.”

“I will return!”

As he spoke, countless blue-purple lightning bolts flashed in the ominous clouds.

The pushing force acting on Yang Dian suddenly increased.

The dark blue sun, which had been enlarged dozens of times, instantly returned to its original state, and Yang Dian, with a hint of reluctance, was pushed back outside the spatial node.

His vision returned from the Alien Planet to the underground cavern.

Looking at the spatial node, which was gradually merging with space and showed no trace, Yang Dian closed his eyes and let out a long breath.

“A magical world.”

Humans die and become ghosts, ghosts die and become ‘Jian’ (a higher form of ghost); this is the Cultivation method of the Ghost God Star Human Race.

To gain new life from death.

So, the question arises.

If a person dies, can they live another life and become a ghost?

Previously, Yang Dian didn't know, nor had he even thought about this question.

Then reality told him, yes, they can.

Ghost God Star shattered, but it also lived.

The revived ‘Heavenly Dao Ghost’ somehow tore through the dimensional rift, bringing the remaining ghosts from the Ghost God Star wreckage to fall into the Alien Planet.

The ghosts killed and enslaved all beings, while the revived ‘Heavenly Dao Ghost’ seized the opportunity to usurp the Alien Planet’s ‘Heavenly Dao’ position, intending to recreate Ghost God Star.

“If it succeeds, wouldn’t it become the next Star God?”

Yang Dian took a deep look at the Ghost God Star, which had merged into space, then flicked his finger to isolate the chaotic magnetic field underground, and took out a new communication wristband.

He logged into his account again.

Without looking at the messages popping up one after another, Yang Dian directly called Han Zhang.

After Han Zhang’s virtual projection appeared beside Yang Dian, he surveyed his surroundings, then frowned:

“Ghost God Star wreckage?”

Thinking of the various anomalies he had experienced before, a realization dawned in his eyes:

“Were the anomalies caused by those Ghost Gods from Ghost God Star?”

After his realization, he showed a worried expression:

“The affected area spans the entire world; even the Subtle Gods among the Ghost Gods couldn’t do that, could they?”

“Is it an Invisible Ghost God, or a visible Ghost God?”

“Or is it that another civilization used the Ghost God Star wreckage as bait, deliberately allowing it to fall into the spatial rift, to locate other worlds through it?”

Seeing that Han Zhang was also startled, Yang Dian flicked his finger.

Not far in front of him, a spatial node with a diameter of over ten meters, which was dozens of times smaller than when Earth invaded the Lizardmen Alien Planet’s dimension, emerged from the Void Realm with Yang Dian’s flick, then vanished back into space.

“It’s indeed not a Subtle God, nor an Invisible Ghost God, nor a visible Ghost God.”

“It’s merely a Ghost God that has just been reborn after death.”

“However, that Ghost God is somewhat special.”

After briefly explaining the matter of the Heavenly Dao Ghost, Yang Dian then asked:

“What’s the situation like outside now?”

“Has Earth’s space been folded?”

“No.” Han Zhang frowned tightly.

Things were somewhat beyond his expectation:

“Are you sure it’s an Alien Planet initiating dimensional erosion against us? And not some other anomaly?”

Yang Dian wanted to send Han Zhang to the Alien Planet to see.

But considering Han Zhang’s strength, he dismissed the idea.

“I’m sure it’s an Alien Planet initiating dimensional erosion against us, there’s no doubt about that.”

“However, there’s no dimensional folding area appearing…”

He looked back at the spatial node, which was only about 10 meters in diameter, dozens of times smaller than when Earth invaded the Lizardmen Alien Planet’s dimension, and frowned again, saying:

“What’s the situation like outside now?…”
