217: Shinto inheritance, the fate of the defeated, and the dimensional gap

Sunrise and sunset, two days passed in a blink of an eye.

That morning, Yang Dian, having received news that Lin Mo had completely controlled his new ability, once again rushed to the sea area where the unknown Legacy was located.

The land reclamation around the Legacy had initially shown results, with a small circular landmass appearing on the vast ocean, enclosing a small area of the sea.

After glancing at the azure sea enclosed within the heart-shaped island from above, Yang Dian descended and landed on a large destroyer nearby.

“Captain.”

He first greeted Lin Mo, then nodded to He Ju, and finally turned his gaze back to Lin Mo:

“Ling Ling has been waiting for you at home for a long time.”

“Although I told her you were fine, she’s still a bit worried.”

“What do you think? Will you call her back and continue excavating the Legacy here?”

“Or go back first?”

Lin Mo looked at He Ju, then said to Yang Dian:

“Let’s enter the Legacy first.”

Yang Dian nodded and turned to look at He Ju:

“Principal He, can I enter the Legacy?”

He Ju smiled:

“Of course you can.”

“Then I’ll go down with my captain to take a look first.”

With that, Yang Dian said no more, directly taking Lin Mo and flying into the Legacy area, sinking into the seawater.

After the two disappeared from the surface of the sea, Wang Quan approached He Ju with a somewhat complex expression:

“Principal He?”

He Ju shook his head and sighed:

“This world, after all, has changed…”

…On the other side, as soon as Yang Dian brought Lin Mo down into the sea, he saw Lin Mo raise his hand, making a stopping gesture.

Stopping his body and using his Qi and blood to separate the seawater, Yang Dian asked curiously:

“Captain, what’s wrong?”

Lin Mo exhaled forcefully, as if to release all the pent-up frustration from this period:

“Do you know what kind of Legacy I obtained in the Legacy?”

Yang Dian’s pupils contracted slightly; he noticed the key word in Lin Mo’s statement:

“Legacy?”

“Not information?”

“Yes, it’s a Legacy.” Lin Mo nodded:

“A Legacy that can grant ordinary people extraordinary power, and it’s extremely powerful.”

Yang Dian blinked:

“But Captain, obtaining a Legacy is a good thing…”

At this point, Yang Dian suddenly thought of something:

“Is there a problem with the Legacy?”

“Is it something like the Demonic Path or Evil Path written in novels?”

Lin Mo shook his head, “It’s not that bad.”

After shaking his head, he continued:

“Do you know about gods?”

“Gods?” Yang Dian’s eyes widened, “Immortals?”

Lin Mo shook his head again: “Not immortals, just gods!”

“The kind of gods that consume incense.”

Yang Dian swallowed:

“Captain, are you serious?”

“No, do we really have this kind of Legacy?”

“Don’t tell me there were really Qi Refiners in ancient pre-Qin times, and truly immortals flying everywhere during the Yin-Shang era!”

Lin Mo shook his head once more:

“It’s not an ancient pre-Qin Legacy, nor an ancient Earth Legacy; it’s a Legacy from an Alien Planet.”

Yang Dian was a bit confused, “How could a Legacy from an Alien Planet appear at the bottom of the sea?”

“Dimensional folding?”

“Didn’t they say there were no spatial nodes here?”

Lin Mo didn’t answer Yang Dian’s question, but instead counter-questioned:

“Have you ever thought about what kind of changes an Alien Planet would undergo after we devour a large amount of its land?”

Yang Dian fell silent.

He was thinking about this question for the first time.

“If we devour a large amount of land from an Alien Planet, although I don’t know how deep the devoured strata would be, it must not be shallow.”

“After losing a large amount of land, the Alien Planet’s gravity would change, and its continental plates might even collapse. The Alien Planet might collapse?”

“No.” Lin Mo didn’t keep him in suspense and directly gave the answer:

“If the Legacy information I obtained is correct, the Dimensional Folding region refers to the entire conical area from the surface to the planet’s core.”

“All matter within this conical region will be plundered after the Dimensional Folding is completely stable.”

“That is to say, if 1% of a planet’s surface area is dimensionally folded, then 1% of its volume will disappear.”

“If 50% of its surface area is dimensionally folded, then 50% of its volume will disappear.”

Yang Dian blinked.

Then wouldn’t the Alien Planet, from which he suddenly plundered 100 million square kilometers of land, have completely exploded?

No wonder the Alien Planet’s will was so crazy about him.

Just as he began to understand the Alien Planet’s will, he heard Lin Mo continue:

“Once a planet loses more than 1% of its land in a Dimensional Erosion, it will disintegrate.”

“Of course, it won’t shatter into fragments and drift in the Universe as you imagine.”

“Instead, the entire planet will be disintegrated by Dimensional power.”

“Dimension is also the power of space, but it is subtly superior to space.”

“Once a planet loses more than 1% of its land, it will cause it to lack sufficient ‘power’ to resist the overflowing spatial power when Dimensional power cuts through the planet, and it will be completely dismembered.”

“A dismemberment of the shattered kind.”

“The dismembered planetary fragments will not drift in the Universe but will fall into the Dimensional Gap.”

“In the Legacy, this Dimensional Gap is also referred to as the ‘Empty Domain’ by that civilization.”

“It is important to note that when one world initiates Dimensional Erosion against another, the dimensions of both worlds are extremely unstable.”

“This will cause some planetary fragments wandering in the Dimensional Gap to fall into, or rather, merge into the world currently undergoing a Dimensional War.”

Hearing this, Yang Dian’s brows furrowed in understanding:

“So those fragments might contain Legacies, such as the Divine Dao Inheritance you obtained, Captain.”

“Could there be surviving Alien Planet powerhouses on those fragments?”

“So why did you suppress such an important matter?”

Lin Mo sighed deeply:

“Because Divine Dao Cultivation is too convenient and its improvement speed is too fast compared to the current Martial Dao and Awakening.”

“As long as you create a god, you can gain faith and increase your power.”

“The more believers, the more faith gained, and the faster your strength improves.”

Yang Dian frowned; he already understood Lin Mo’s concerns:

“So, the most important thing for the Divine Dao is believers.”

“Ignorant believers who wholeheartedly believe in a god?”

Lin Mo nodded:

“Yes, ignorant believers who wholeheartedly believe in and worship a god.”

Yang Dian continued:

“So, Captain, you’re worried that those domestic financial groups and Families will turn themselves into gods and mislead the world?”

Lin Mo spread his hands:

“Is this a worry?”

“This is something that will undoubtedly happen.”

Lin Mo was right.

This was indeed something that would undoubtedly happen.

But things shouldn’t always be thought of in a negative light.

“Captain, have you ever thought about something?”

“That is, besides our 1.4 billion people in China, there are 6.6 billion people in other places on Earth?”

“Some places are inherently ignorant and already worship deities.”

“Perhaps in this era, their deities should descend?”

“It’s just that their faith might be a bit off.”

“Their gods, perhaps, should have black hair, black eyes, and yellow skin.”

Lin Mo was astonished.

He stared wide-eyed at Yang Dian:

“That works too?”

“No, those foreign financial powers won’t let us go there to preach.”

“Captain, you’re behind the times.” Yang Dian waved his hand and smiled:

“Who says that in this era, you have to go in person to preach?”

“You underestimate the value of ‘entertainment to death’.”

At this point, Yang Dian changed the subject:

“By the way, Captain, you still haven’t told me the extent of what the Divine Dao Inheritance can achieve.”

“And what civilization defeated them, causing their planet to disintegrate and fall into the Dimensional Gap…”
