771: The terrifying gap in strength
Yang Dian casually edited the Human Race Alliance’s data. Just as he was about to upload it to Zero for transmission to Earth, he hesitated.
“Is it really okay to just transmit it so openly?”
“After all, this place is a so-called Rank 7 civilization, a Great World that plays with destiny. Will communicating with Earth so casually draw attention?”
Thinking this, Yang Dian annoyedly tapped his head and added a sentence to the end of the data:
“Contact with Dr. Bai was made before acquiring the data.”
If it was going to be exposed, it would have been exposed already.
The members of the Think Tank were very intelligent and naturally understood what Yang Dian wanted to convey.
After sending out the Human Race Alliance’s information, Yang Dian’s thoughts returned to the division of Cultivator strength Ranks.
He then discovered that the Human Race Alliance, or the various civilizations in the Universe, divided Cultivator strength very similarly to Earth.
“Rank 1 (Earth’s Transcendent Realm): Possesses means of energy attacks that can leave the body (excluding Body Cultivators who only train physical strength). Without any technological assistance, they can kill at least tens of thousands of ordinary people who have not mastered Transcendent power.”
“Rank 2 (Earth’s Star-Patrolling Realm): Possesses super-hypersonic flight capabilities and can easily slaughter a civilization whose technology and cultivation have not reached Rank 2.”
“Rank 3 (Earth’s Star Dome Realm): Can survive in the Universe for extended periods using their own power. Can individually tear apart continental plates and inflict destructive blows on civilizations unable to leave their planet for long periods.”
“Rank 4 (Earth’s Star Remains Realm): Can shatter a small asteroid with a single punch.”
Yang Dian was currently at the Rank 4 stage.
As for which stage of Rank 4 he was in—early, Middle Stage, or Late Stage?
Yang Dian calculated carefully; his current strength should be in the Middle Stage of Rank 4.
As for how this Rank was divided?
Perhaps because they were in the Universe, the Human Race Alliance liked to measure their own great power using stars.
And because their territory was vast and they had a lot of data, they established the Rank data for the smallest asteroids and smallest stars.
Therefore, the baseline for early Rank 4 strength in Human Race civilization was to shatter the smallest asteroid with a single punch.
That is, to shatter a normal, 5000-kilometer diameter rocky (potentially containing a certain amount of metal) planet.
Being able to shatter a 5000-kilometer diameter planet with a single punch would certify one as a Rank 4 powerhouse of the Human Race Alliance.
The limit of Rank 4 was to shatter a giant planet with the same density as Earth and a diameter of approximately 202,000 kilometers with a single punch.
What about beyond that?
Beyond that belonged to the red dwarf category, considered half-step Stellar Rank, or half-step Rank 5.
Rank 5 belonged to the Stellar Rank category.
The smallest star has a mass of about 0.075 solar masses, which, at Earth’s density, would be equivalent to a planet with a diameter of 372,000 kilometers.
Anyone who could shatter a celestial body of this Rank with a single punch would be Rank 5.
Don’t be fooled by the seemingly small data gap from the limit of Rank 4 to the initial entry into Rank 5, which is only an increase of about 1.84 times in diameter.
But it contained a mass difference of 25,000 times.
Further on, Rank 6 would not just be about the size of celestial bodies but about the level of mass.
For example, neutron stars.
A typical neutron star weighs only about 1.1 to 2.3 solar masses.
But what about its volume?
It generally has a diameter of only 20 kilometers, a sphere the size of a city.
A teaspoon of neutron star material can weigh billions of tons; transforming Earth into neutron star material would result in a sphere only 44 meters in diameter.
How terrifying is such a celestial body?
An ordinary planet would be instantly torn to shreds just by getting close to its edge.
As for wanting to blow it up?
“I can currently shatter a planet with the same density as Earth and a diameter of 67,000 kilometers with one punch.”
“If I quantify my strength as 1, to shatter a neutron star, which is to touch the edge of Rank 6, I need to improve further…”
After transmitting various data to Zero and looking at the answer Zero calculated, Yang Dian scratched his head, feeling a bit exasperated.
“That’s a bit exaggerated.”
“According to the data provided by the Human Race Alliance, I need to improve by another 28 billion times to shatter a neutron star and touch the edge of Rank 6.”
Thinking this, Yang Dian couldn’t help but want to curse.
Is 28 billion times that easy to improve?
This was not 28 billion times for an ordinary person; it was 28 billion times for him.
“Even if I master the Devouring ability and my energy acquisition speed increases threefold…”
“Assuming energy utilization efficiency remains constant, it would still take nearly 100 years to grow to the point of shattering a neutron star.”
But was this realistic?
Yang Dian didn’t know.
“So, I can’t even touch the edge of Rank 6. How terrifying must a Rank 7 Destiny Child be?”
“Such a terrifying Destiny Child was actually trapped by the Beast Race in some damn Eternal Star Abyss?”
“What kind of place is the Eternal Star Abyss? And what’s the situation with the Beast Race?”
Yang Dian didn’t know, so he decided to continue looking at the data provided by the Human Race Alliance.
“According to the Human Race Alliance’s strength division, Rank 6 requires being able to shatter a neutron star, and Rank 7 requires filling a black hole with individual power and annihilating it.”
“And by Rank 8, it’s no longer about the level of power; it’s about rules and concepts.”
“Rank 8 requires complete mastery of a certain rule power.”
“For example, after completely mastering the Fire Dao rule, one can make a black hole burst into flames.”
“After completely mastering the Water Dao rule, one can make a black hole gush water.”
“This involves the complete transformation of matter, the infinite utilization of energy, and one’s own immortality?”
“In the Heavenly Court, Rank 8 is called Dao Fruit.”
“In the Mountain Sea Civilization, Rank 8 is called Harmonizing with the Dao.”
“In Wizard and technological civilizations, Rank 8 is referred to as Truth…”
Rank 8 already made Yang Dian somewhat incomprehensible. What about beyond that?
What kind of existence were the true Rank 9 Great Star Gods, who only existed in records?
The origin of all things in the Universe, the Incarnation of an ancient singularity?
Yang Dian didn’t understand, but he was greatly shocked.
“If, if my Devouring ability is a complete Devouring rule.”
“Would completely mastering the Devouring rule mean devouring everything in the entire Universe?”
“To reach Rank 9 through the Devouring rule, would it mean devouring the entire Universe, bearing the entire Universe within oneself, and transforming oneself into a singularity, into the origin?”
“But if Rank 9 is the singularity, the origin.”
“Then that legendary Rank 9 Great Star God seems to be blocking my path?”
“But He occupies the position of the origin, so how can I fight him?”
All sorts of thoughts swirled endlessly in Yang Dian’s mind, eventually forming a translucent cocoon.
“Relying on the Dimension Butterfly to travel through dimensions and roam other Universes?”
A moment later, his thoughts exploded like fireworks, then were reined in and unified by Yang Dian.
Traveling through dimensions and such was still too outrageous.
He currently only possessed Middle Stage Rank 4 strength, which was only enough to fight a Great Star God; he would be finished if he took a hit from a Stellar Ancestor.
Why think so much?
“People still need to be down-to-earth.”
“So, what can I gain in the Destiny Realm?”
As soon as the thought fell, a horrifying scene appeared before Yang Dian’s eyes…
