76: Having sex without paying?
Yang Dian, who had already returned to the factory entrance and was sitting in the co-driver’s seat of the dayun heavy truck, naturally didn’t know that Yang Wei and Zhou Lin had already figured out the purpose of his trip to Huizhou.
Nor did he know that the two of them, without his knowledge, had even actively covered for him.
After meeting up with Yao Lie and repeatedly confirming that Zhao Tian wanted to accompany Little Orca to Fuzhou in the car, he instructed Yao Lie to start the vehicle, preparing to return to Fuzhou.
Noticing that Yao Lie kept glancing at the crab leg beside him while driving, Yang Dian helplessly patted his forehead:
“Brother Lie, focus on driving. You’re driving a dayun heavy truck right now; don’t go crashing into someone.”
Saying that, he patted the crab leg beside him again:
“If you really want to study this thing, you can study it however you like when we stop to Cultivate at the service station later.”
As he spoke, Yang Dian suddenly thought of something and, holding the crab leg, walked through the small door behind the driver's cabin into the cargo compartment.
Nodding to the puzzled Zhao Tian, Yang Dian then folded the crab leg and placed it in the refrigerated box.
The weather was hot in summer, and even though the crab leg was taken from a Mutant crab, he was afraid it would spoil if left out too long.
Plus, he was worried Yao Lie might get distracted on the way.
So, it was better to put it in the refrigerated box.
After putting away the crab leg, Yang Dian stroked Little Orca twice—who was clearly a bit uneasy but relatively stable with Zhao Tian’s companionship—then returned to the co-driver’s seat.
His gaze passed through the car window, looking at the children on the street in the evening, out for a stroll with their parents.
They held toys, munched on snacks, and ran back and forth around the adults.
Their lives were as usual, warm and harmonious.
There was no change whatsoever because of the Mutant crabs coming ashore and killing people not far from the sea.
‘A carefree childhood, I wonder how much longer it can last.’
Feeling a surge of emotion, Yang Dian took out a Xiao Lan Yao (Little Blue Pill) and put it in his mouth.
Although he was very selfish, if he had enough power, he wouldn't mind protecting an area and allowing China to rise through his efforts.
This sense of accomplishment was not comparable to ordinary romantic love.
Of course, it was undeniable that foot massages were also very enjoyable... The journey was uneventful.
The return trip was faster than the journey there.
Leaving Daya Bay at 8 PM, it took only nine and a half hours. At 5:30 AM, shortly after the sun had risen above the horizon, the dayun heavy truck returned to Fuzhou University.
Professor Shen Fei, who had received the news and was waiting at the Research Institute entrance, was the first to greet them when the dayun heavy truck stopped:
“You’ve worked hard.”
“Did the abnormal creatures have any problems?”
Yang Dian was exasperated:
“Professor, are you concerned about me, or about the abnormal creatures?”
Professor Shen Fei looked at Yang Dian:
“Seeing you so full of life, I knew you were fine.”
“What, do you need me to feign concern?”
Yang Dian shrugged:
“There’s no need for that.”
As he spoke, Yao Lie had already opened the dayun heavy truck’s cargo compartment door.
Professor Shen Fei bypassed the somewhat uneasy Little Orca, Zhao Tian who was accompanying Little Orca, the motionless transparent Mola Mola, and the Clownfish darting around in the ice, finally focusing his gaze on the aquarium covered with a black cloth.
“The Mutant Blue-Ringed Octopus you mentioned, the one with many eyes that makes people faint just by looking at it, is in that aquarium?”
Following Professor Shen Fei’s gaze, Yang Dian nodded:
“Yes, it’s in that aquarium.”
After receiving a positive reply, Professor Shen Fei immediately waved his hand backward.
A large group of Research Institute members, dressed in protective suits, poured into the compartment without a word and carried the aquarium down.
“I’ll take the octopus first. You and Chen Wenqian can arrange the others.”
After speaking, he led the group in a rush into the Research Institute.
Yang Dian turned to look at Chen Wenqian.
Chen Wenqian, who had only been at the Research Institute for a few days and already had two dark circles under her eyes, blinked:
“That’s just how the professor is; once he encounters something that interests him, he gets completely immersed in it.”
Yang Dian nodded slightly in understanding, then looked at the compartment:
“How should the remaining three Mutant creatures be arranged?”
“The Clownfish and Mola Mola can be directly arranged into the Research Institute.”
“As for Little Orca, because of its large size and need for sufficient activity space, it will first be kept in the school’s indoor swimming pool.”
“Although the pool is a bit small, it’s not a problem for Little Orca to temporarily reside there.”
“The Orca Pool and Orca Pavilion are already being excavated and constructed on the back mountain, expected to be completed in three days. Once completed, Little Orca can move to the Orca Pavilion.”
After speaking, Chen Wenqian looked at Yang Dian, then at Little Orca, who was resting its head on the edge of the tank and looking at her:
“Is this arrangement acceptable?”
Yang Dian and Little Orca nodded simultaneously:
“It’s acceptable.”
Little Orca’s blowhole on its back even spurted a puff of water vapor.
Hearing the sound, Yang Dian turned his head, looked at Little Orca, who, apart from its different appearance, couldn't speak and was no different from a seven or eight-year-old child, then said to Chen Wenqian:
“Little Orca is very intelligent, and under Zhao Tian’s influence, it also has a friendly attitude towards us.”
Chen Wenqian nodded, indicating she understood what Yang Dian meant.
With a hint of apprehension, she climbed into the compartment and reached out to stroke Little Orca’s head.
After Little Orca let out an ethereal “woo~~~” sound, the apprehension on her face turned into a smile:
“I will take good care of Little Orca.”
Zhao Tian, standing nearby, opened his mouth, wanting to say something.
But the words caught in his throat, and he ultimately gave up speaking.
Yang Dian, however, guessed his thoughts.
If nothing unexpected happened, he probably wanted to join the Special Administration Bureau as Little Orca’s caretaker.
Even if it was just as an unofficial member.
But he didn’t know what pros and cons he weighed, and he eventually gave up that idea.
Looking deeply at Zhao Tian, Yang Dian continued:
“These several Mutant creatures were all fished out of the sea by Zhao Tian. According to the Bureau’s rules and regulations, Zhao Tian should be given corresponding rewards.”
“Zhao Tian wants to exchange the monetary reward for Cultivation resources. Please report this to the higher-ups.”
Chen Wenqian nodded:
“Alright, I will report it as requested.”
Saying that, she looked at Zhao Tian again:
“I will contact you once there is news.”
Zhao Tian nodded slightly, stroking Little Orca and saying thank you... After dealing with the abnormal creatures, Yang Dian opened the internal network to check.
After confirming there were no emergencies, he called Lin Mo, then returned to his rental apartment to sleep.
He had been working continuously for over 20 hours, either Cultivating or fighting.
Even with a stronger body and more vigorous spirit after practicing martial arts, Yang Dian felt a bit overwhelmed.
He needed to go back and sleep to recover.
He slept until late at night.
Yang Dian, who had a comfortable sleep, ruffled Dudu, who had unknowingly left its Fusion state and was sleeping on his forehead.
“Speaking of which.”
Yang Dian pulled Dudu down and poked its tender body:
“You wrapped my entire face, but how did I not feel any sense of suffocation?”
Yang Dian ignored Dudu vigorously pushing him with its tentacles and directly squeezed his face into its body, taking several deep breaths.
And it was exactly as he had thought.
Dudu was also an air filter.
Even with his head stuffed into its body and his nose completely covered, he could still breathe fresh, ocean-scented air.
“If you wrap around my head, then I wouldn’t need to bring diving equipment to dive into the deep sea, would I?”
Just as Yang Dian began to fantasize about the wonderful scene of fishing without bait and directly catching fish in the sea, a hysterical scream suddenly came from Pingshui Street:
“Help! Someone got out of bed and won’t acknowledge anything, pulling up his pants and trying to leave, and he even hit me!”
Yang Dian, wearing only a pair of shorts, rushed to the window.
Dudu can be studied later.
But the good show must be watched now!
