732: camouflage

Amidst continuous broadcast announcements, some Wo Er People looked at each other, then silently, like walking corpses, boarded the escape pods.

No wonder they had no Life Qi.

Having encountered other invaders, they were no longer as naive as they once were.

Although the broadcast said the Huaxia Expeditionary Force was here to save them, who knew if that was true?

'What if the Chinese are like the Guang Yao Civilization?'

'The Guang Yao Civilization was also friendly before invading us.'

Such thoughts appeared in the minds of many Wo Er People.

But because their strength was inferior, even if they guessed that the 'escape pod' might be the next Hell, they could only choose to enter it.

Compared to adult Wo Er People, young Wo Er People seemed much more innocent.

The young Wo Er People, who simply understood 'rescue' literally, smiled again.

Vera, a young Wo Er Person standing in front of the giant mech, looked up, her sky-blue eyes wide, and said earnestly:

"Hello, big guy from the Huaxia Civilization."

"Can we still return to our home planet in the future?"

Li Gui tilted his head, thought for a moment, and opened the cockpit to fly in front of Vera:

"Of course you can."

"As long as we clear the Guang Yao Clan from the Wo Er People's planet and ensure there are no threats on the planet, you can return to your home planet."

Vera saw Li Gui fly out of the giant mech, first stunneding for a moment, then looked at Li Gui, and then at the mech behind him.

Thinking of scenes from science fiction movies, she said with some anticipation:

"Then can I go to China?"

Li Gui stunneded for a moment:

"Why do you want to go to China?"

Vera blinked her sky-blue eyes and said:

"Because I want to learn Chinese technology."

"I also want to build big guys to protect others."

Wo Er, behind Vera, stepped forward excitedly, thinking, 'Vera has grown up and knows what responsibility is.'

The audience watching the live broadcast and locking their cameras on Li Gui immediately sent bullet comments like [Agree to her] [Such a cute little Wo Er].

But what the audience waited for was not Li Gui and the Wo Er's mutual affection, but the giant hand cannon Li Gui pulled out of his wristband.

Vera looked at the guy in Li Gui's hand, whose muzzle was bigger than her own head, and her big eyes were full of confusion:

"What is this?"

The audience watching Li Gui's live broadcast also sent countless question marks at the same time, and from time to time, a bullet comment like [The Expeditionary Force has fought too many wars, even the Corps Commander suffers from PTSD] would pop up.

Li Gui couldn't see the bullet comments.

Nor did he care about Wo Er, who, after a moment of stunneding, was full of anxiety and wanted to pull the young Wo Er Person behind him to hide her.

In his eyes, there was only Vera, this young Wo Er Person.

"If it's a child from a friendly civilization, we welcome him to visit China and study in China."

Before the audience could send bullet comments asking [Then why did you pull out a hand cannon?], Li Gui directly pulled the trigger with his fingertip:

"But, you don't seem to be a Wo Er Person."

The murmur, the crisp click of the trigger, and the violent roar of the cannon sounded at the same time.

As the dazzling fire flashed and the pungent gunpowder smoke spread, the young Wo Er Person in front of Li Gui instantly lost her head.

[Uh, this little Wo Er Person doesn't seem to be bleeding?]

The first bullet comment that appeared on the live broadcast screen suppressed all doubts.

The headless young Wo Er Person took a step back.

Amidst the shifting light and shadow, her body began to soften, as if turning into a pool of flowing mud stirring in mid-air.

Li Gui, standing in front of it, frowned.

He didn't feel any danger from this thing in front of him, which he didn't know if it was a Guang Yao Clan member.

But he always felt a little creepy.

"So..."

Without him making any moves, the giant mech behind him suddenly opened its hand.

EMP electromagnetic pulse, small missiles, plasma furnaces, railguns, ultrasonic/microwave jammers, nano-disintegrating swarms... countless attacks were thrown at 'Vera' as if they were free.

Only after completely vaporizing it did Li Gui turn to look at Wo Er, who seemed stunned.

At this moment, Wo Er seemed to have just come to his senses.

"Ve... Vera was replaced?"

Li Gui said nothing, but the attack that had previously landed on 'Vera' once again fell on Wo Er.

His movement caused a large number of viewers, who had previously craved his attention, to lock their perspective on him.

Viewers who had just entered the live broadcast room watched the replay in fast forward, and then countless bullet comments surged on the live screen.

[Holy crap, is that Guang Yao Civilization so insidious? Replacing the little girl wasn't enough, they even replaced her uncle?]

[Indeed insidious, because normally, even if there's a replacement, only one would be replaced, as a normal person is needed for cover. Who knew both were replaced, and I even guess that little girl might have been intentionally pushed out to lead us into a cognitive bias.]

[The Universe is so dangerous, it feels like everyone is an old schemer.]

[Feels ordinary, if it were me, I would definitely hide in the back, feigning death and not speaking, or blend into the crowd. I definitely wouldn't be so blatant and draw attention.]

[How do you know that besides these two, there aren't other Guang Yao People hidden among the Wo Er People?]

[Now that you mention it, it's truly chilling. Could these two be cannon fodder pushed out by other Guang Yao People?]

[Let me tell you something even more terrifying, is there a possibility that all Wo Er People have already been replaced?]

[That's unlikely, right?]

[What's impossible? How many Wo Er People are there in total? After a war, how many can be left? With the technological strength of an interstellar civilization, replacing the entire Wo Er Race is no big deal, right?]

[The person upstairs is right, if we compare ourselves to the Guang Yao People, our current technology can completely create hundreds of millions, even billions of mimetic robots in a short time. The Guang Yao People have occupied the Wo Er People's planet for so long, replacing the entire Wo Er Race is not difficult.]

[Such a Universe makes me feel a little scared...]

[What's there to be afraid of? If we find aliens, just kill them. When the prestige of our Huaxia Civilization spreads throughout the Universe, it will be the turn of the Universe races to fear us.]

[Looking forward to the day when other races hear our name and surrender at the mere mention...]

While bullet comments buzzed online, on the Wo Er People's planet, Li Gui, who had completely annihilated 'Wo Er', spoke:

"Codename [Disguise] Guang Yao Life/Technological creation, fears ultrasound."

"When the sound wave frequency exceeds 300,000 Hertz, [Disguise] cannot maintain its disguised state and will revert to a muddy appearance."

"Because I was worried that it might acquire other abilities after transforming, I used all available weapons to vaporize it before [Disguise] completed its transformation."

"Based on combat experience, I've concluded that to deal with [Disguise], one can first use ultrasound to break its disguised state, and then use a plasma furnace to refine it."

"Of course, the [Disguise]'s disguise ability may fail after encountering 300,000 Hertz ultrasound, or it might be part of its disguise. To fully understand it, more data needs to be collected..."
