125: Ten-armed corpses, crystal lizardmen, just grab the things and run away!

“My control over star matter seems to be weakening.”

Frowning, Yang Dian strode forward, certain that his feeling was not an illusion.

As he delved deeper underground, tiny pieces of star matter occasionally fell off his armor, only to be reabsorbed by the gravitational pull between star matter and ‘stick’ back onto the armor.

Before long, although the armor still resembled armor, it had become dented and battered, a battle-damaged version.

“No, it’s not that my control over star matter has weakened.”

Yang Dian’s eyes lit up as he tapped his somewhat dilapidated armor.

“It’s that the essence of star matter has become stronger.”

“I need to re-imprint it with my Qi and blood, and refine it again to perfectly control it.”

Stopping to look at the even brighter, almost dazzling crystal rock wall beside him, Yang Dian took a deep breath, then rushed deeper into the cave at an even faster speed.

He wanted to reach the core of the cave before he completely lost control of the star matter.

Or before Dudu’s absorption rate of radiation couldn’t keep up with the radiation’s spread rate.

He wanted to reach the core of the cave to see what treasures might be there.

Ten li... a hundred li... a thousand li... Yang Dian had tested it; after unlocking the second Grass Tread Flight skill, his maximum running speed had already reached 65 meters per second.

With the enhancement of Qi and blood, it could increase by another 30%.

Nearly 85 meters per second!

What kind of concept is that?

One-quarter the speed of sound!

300 kilometers per hour!

Comparable to the average speed of a high-speed train!

Yet, even so, he ran for over 5 hours and still couldn’t reach the cave’s core or find the possible Star Anomaly!

“Damn it!”

Standing beside the remains of a Ten-Armed Lizardman whose skeleton was over 11 meters long.

Yang Dian braced himself with his hands on his knees, letting sweat drip from his cheeks, falling to the ground through Dudu.

The star matter he had refined had been almost completely washed and strengthened by radiation energy an hour ago, requiring him to refine it again.

He was able to get this far entirely thanks to Dudu.

Dudu had transformed into a thin film, enveloping Yang Dian’s entire body and absorbing all the radiation energy directed at him.

But after reaching this point, Dudu had also reached its limit.

At this moment, Dudu had already conveyed emotions like “pain,” “uncomfortable,” and “distressed” to him.

For Dudu, a creature inherently belonging to the atmospheric and stellar categories, to express such emotions, it showed how terrifying the current radiation was.

He reached out and picked up the crown, a meter in diameter, from the Ten-Armed Lizardman’s head.

As its body was touched, the Ten-Armed Lizardman instantly turned into a cloud of dust, scattering throughout the cave.

Looking at the passage, now filled with a scorching white light, making it almost impossible to see the path ahead or how deep it went, Yang Dian exhaled deeply.

“What I gain is my fortune; what I lose is my destiny.”

“One cannot force it.”

Thinking this, Yang Dian reached out, gathering the last bit of star matter that hadn’t been refined by radiation energy, and condensed it into a pickaxe.

Still, the same saying.

Since he was already here!

His arm became a blur as he hammered against the crystal rock wall with a clang.

The crystal rock wall wasn’t as hard as he imagined.

After a few strikes, large chunks of crystal were smashed down by Yang Dian.

However, Yang Dian’s target wasn’t the crystal.

But the ‘star’ inside the crystal!

A moment later, the pickaxe, condensed from star matter, reverted into a lump of star iron and was pulled into Yang Dian’s body by Dudu.

Looking at the ‘star’ that was only a dozen centimeters away from him, Yang Dian unhesitatingly activated the remaining Qi and blood in his body to condense Dragon Claws, fiercely digging into the rock wall.

“Chh~”

“Chh~”

“Chh~”

The smell of burning, produced when Qi and blood resisted the radiation energy, reached his nostrils, but Yang Dian seemed oblivious to it.

Having come this far, would he just give up?

Absolutely not!

When his Qi and blood ran out, he would smash it with the crown he picked up from the Ten-Armed Lizardman’s head.

If the crown broke, he would smash it with his fists!

If his hand bones broke, he would ram it with his knees!

Before running out of ammunition and food, Yang Dian finally bit down on the thumb-sized, cocoon-shaped ‘star’.

With a “pop~” sound, he forcibly bit and pulled it out of the crystal rock wall.

Feeling the somewhat soft ‘star’ under his teeth, and the Alien Planet’s malice towards him suddenly increasing by an unknown magnitude, as if it would control a meteor to smash him to death the next moment.

Yang Dian raised an eyebrow, and with a “spit,” he spat it into his pocket.

“Dudu, gather some crystals, let’s go.”

As he spoke, Yang Dian lightly jumped, and dozens of starlight tendrils extended from his feet, coiling around the larger radiation crystals.

Just as Dudu coiled the radiation crystals, a furious shriek entered Yang Dian’s ears.

“Ska~~~”

A Lizardman, entirely made of glass-like crystal, burst out of the rock wall.

Its shimmering claws turned into scorching white shadow flames, fiercely grabbing at Yang Dian.

Unfortunately, it was too late.

Before it could attack Yang Dian, he was already enveloped by a circle of golden-yellow energy, entering an almost invincible state.

He and the Crystal Lizardman seemed to be in two different dimensions.

The Crystal Lizardman’s claws clearly passed through Yang Dian’s waist, yet caused him no harm.

“A two-armed Crystal Lizardman?”

Feeling the deadly sense of danger emanating from the Crystal Lizardman, Yang Dian, whose finger bones and knees were already showing bone fragments, took a deep breath.

“This Aura...”

“It feels even stronger than an Eight-Armed Lizardman.”

“And it’s the kind of strong that’s much stronger!”

“A City-Level, or near City-Level, mutant Lizardman that can freely shuttle through the crystal mountain?”

Looking down at the soft ‘star’ in his pocket, a hint of curiosity appeared in Yang Dian’s eyes.

“So, what is this white thing?”

“An egg laid by the Crystal Lizardman?”

“So small?”

As he murmured, the golden-yellow energy had already begun to carry Yang Dian upwards.

Taking one last look at the Crystal Lizardman roaring at him on the ground, Yang Dian smiled.

“See you next time.”

Saying this, he raised his blood-stained right hand and made a slicing motion across his throat:

“I’ll kill you.”

As his voice faded, the golden sphere enveloping Yang Dian suddenly accelerated, instantly carrying him through an unknown number of meters of thick strata, bringing him to the sunlit surface.

Finally, it transformed into a reverse meteor, passing through the body of a large bird with a wingspan of nearly 80 meters, and plunged into the deep spatial node.

As soon as he entered the spatial node, the omnipresent malice instantly vanished, and a warm, healing sensation enveloped Yang Dian’s entire body.

The radiation remaining on him was rapidly being eliminated.

Even Yang Dian’s injuries were healing quickly.

“Home is still the best~”

He mumbled, then Yang Dian suddenly thought of something.

“No.”

“If the bones heal incorrectly, wouldn’t I have to break and reset them?”

“Damn it, I need to leave!”

He looked up at the high sky.

That was the way back to Earth.

Just as he was about to return, Yang Dian heard a series of “plop plop” sounds, like high-diving, coming from a distance.

Turning his head to look, his eyes suddenly narrowed.
