762: Pressure is relieved

His father had borrowed a donkey cart to take Yang Dian into the city; although he had the idea of taking him to a medical clinic for a check-up, that was not the primary reason.

With the new emperor ascending the throne, local officials everywhere were searching for auspicious omens to celebrate the new emperor.

His father thought that since an Immortal had fallen from the sky, one that could not be damaged by swords or axes and was exceptionally handsome, that could probably count as an auspicious omen.

Therefore, he wanted to send the Immortal to the city to be treated and cleaned up, so that he could deliver Yang Dian to the government office to claim a reward.

But what about now?

The Immortal said it had a destined connection with him and wanted to bestow upon it gold, silver, wealth, and a Cultivation Technique.

"If the Immortal finds out that my dad brought it into the city because he wanted to use it as an auspicious omen for reward money, will it get angry and kill us?..."

Yang Dian, having caught the Young Attendant's stray thoughts, smiled. He then ignored the flustered Young Attendant, waved his hand, and told him to go to the back of the donkey cart.

Little people have their own ways of surviving; he certainly would not vent his anger on them just because they wanted to offer him up as an auspicious omen.

After all, it was he who had crushed their old yellow ox to death.

"Go on down, and think carefully about what you want."

"Also, the things are for you, not for your father, and you are not allowed to discuss it with your father."

The Young Attendant was even more terrified, but he dared not disobey Yang Dian. He shuffled his body to the back of the donkey cart, into another straw-filled compartment that had been intentionally left for someone to lie in.

Yang Dian, feeling good after bullying the child a little, simply tapped his bracelet.

The Little Black Cat immediately sprang out from the bracelet's pet space—the cat nest:

"Human, are you okay? Cat is so worried about you."

Yang Dian stroked the Little Black Cat twice:

"Human is not okay. Human has suffered serious injuries and will have to rely on you for protection from now on."

The Little Black Cat narrowed its eyes, a fierce glint flashing through them, and its body instantly grew to the size of a leopard:

"Human, Cat will protect you."

The Little Black Cat did not just know how to meow; it truly learned the things Yang Dian taught it.

Therefore, it had long ago mastered Clayton's Gigantification Talent, as well as the Shrinking Talent of some lucky person from Huaxia.

Even without Yang Dian's help, it could shrink itself to the size of a palm, or grow to the size of a yak.

The Young Attendant in the back heard the commotion and peeked out. Upon discovering the Little Black Cat curled up beside Yang Dian and looking around, he immediately pulled his head back.

"Where did this talking leopard come from? Is this an Immortal Beast that serves as the Immortal's mount?"

The Little Black Cat did not take the initiative to speak to the Young Attendant, and the Young Attendant's Soul strength was low, so he did not know what the Little Black Cat had said.

He only knew that his mind was even more chaotic now.

"The Immortal won't beat me to death, will it?"

Yang Dian's head ached. Now that he had the Little Black Cat to protect him, although he sensed the Young Attendant's inner fear, he could not be bothered to pay attention to his thoughts.

That would only make his head ache more.

Enduring the pain, he took out a portion of Planet Origin from his bracelet. Fortunately, he had obtained quite a lot of this from the God Bear Star, otherwise, he would not know how to recover quickly.

After all, his current body could not withstand the baptism of violent energy, and none of the few heaven and earth treasures he carried on him could be used.

As the Planet Origin entered his mouth, a gentle energy, like sweet dew, fell into Yang Dian's already depleted body, causing him to let out a breath in some comfort.

"I'm alive~"

Amidst his emotion, Yang Dian tapped the bracelet again:

The bracelet contained the vast majority of his treasures and was the key to his recovery, so it was well-protected and had not been affected in the slightest by the terrifying space-time storm.

"Zero, are you there?"

"I am here." Zero projected itself beside Yang Dian:

"Commander, you have been unconscious for three days and three nights."

Yang Dian smiled:

"It's good enough that I didn't die. Being unconscious for just three days and three nights counts as me being lucky."

After laughing, Yang Dian continued:

"Can you contact Lao Bai?"

"Yes."

As the voice fell, a projection appeared beside Yang Dian.

When Lao Bai saw Yang Dian lying on the straw with a pale face, his heart tightened at first.

Then, seeing that his eyes were open and extremely lively, he let out a sigh of relief.

If something had happened to Yang Dian and he was left alone, he really would not know what to do.

The pressure was too great.

"It's good that you're okay."

Yang Dian pursed his lips upon hearing this:

"How can you say that? Do I look like I'm okay?"

"Hurry up and build a quantum teleporter to take me home!"
