642: Then I'm going to hit you...

Yang Dian recalled the information he had gathered from the Great Yu Immortal Dynasty and various Star Remains, then nodded slightly.

This method was not uncommon.

Many powerful cultivators, when their Lifespan was nearing its end and they wished to leave behind a Legacy to find a successor, would use this method.

However, some genuinely wanted to leave a Legacy.

Others, though, were merely setting traps to find a body that matched the Cultivation Technique they practiced.

'Those cultivators who set up these arrangements were basically all at the Star Dome Realm.'

'So, the 'god' who set up these arrangements in this accursed place is at least Star Dome Realm?'

'No, I should say his strength is likely at the Star Dome Realm, not exceeding it, and perhaps not even reaching the Star Remains Realm.'

Why?

Because the Star Remains Realm is roughly equivalent to an Immortal in cultivation civilizations.

Transcending the Three Realms, unbound by the Five Elements, with limitless Lifespan.

Moreover, the Star Remains Realm is strong enough that he wouldn't be at the very bottom of the Universe.

With that strength, why hide in this place and pretend to be dead?

Wouldn't it be more enjoyable to traverse the starry sky and casually find a life-bearing planet to be its planetary leader?

'Hmm, perhaps Earth is special, and there's a reason they had to Seal themselves on Earth.'

'But no matter what.'

'Since I can discern the principle behind these arrangements with a single glance, he shouldn't be too far beyond me.'

Thinking this, Yang Dian directly led the girl, whose face kept alternating between pale and green, onto the stone gate.

Then, a sense of weightlessness followed.

'It's not as stable as a spatial node, nor as convenient as a spatial gate opened by a Dimension Butterfly.'

'It's even inferior to me directly tearing space and traversing it.'

'And...'

'The teleportation gate seems a bit fragile.'

'With a little force, it feels like I could tear it apart directly.'

As his thoughts churned, a feeling of solid ground emerged from his feet.

The moment his feet touched solid ground, flickering firelight rose from not far away.

The 'temple' owner seemed to sense the arrival of Yang Dian and the girl, lighting the torches stuck on both sides of the cave.

Yang Dian looked around and subconsciously raised an eyebrow.

'Earth's favor is still present, so I am still on Earth right now.'

'The inscriptions on the passage have the ability to suppress Mental Energy.'

'My mental perception range is only one-thousandth of what it is outside.'

Clenching his fist, Yang Dian nodded slightly.

'My physical condition hasn't changed at all; whatever power I could unleash before, I can still unleash now.'

With a thought, a wisp of Qi and blood extended from his fingertip, transforming into a sharp spike.

'The effect of Qi and blood attached to the body is undiminished.'

'But if it leaves the body...'

He casually flicked the Qi and blood from his fingertip onto the cave wall.

Looking at the three-meter-deep pit blasted open by the Qi and blood on the cave wall, Yang Dian subtly frowned.

'The destructive power of detached Qi and blood has decreased by more than 10 times.'

Thinking, Yang Dian leaned closer to the cave wall and touched the large hole blasted open by the Qi and blood.

'Inside the cave is rock, not flesh.'

'This basically rules out the possibility that the cave is an organ inside a 'giant organism.'

'But only basically.'

'It doesn't rule out the possibility that a 'giant organism' might have gallstones, or that the 'giant organism' itself is a rock-based lifeform.'

Various thoughts flashed through Yang Dian's mind, and he immediately looked around him, front and back.

Behind him was the cave ceiling, dark rock.

In front of him, illuminated by torches, he was guided towards an unknown distance.

Turning his head to look at the girl beside him, Yang Dian was about to ask something when he sensed an indescribable fear and disgust rising from her.

Following the girl's gaze to the corner of the cave, a section of purple vine came into Yang Dian's view.

'Disgusted by a vine?'

Tilting his head, Yang Dian looked back and forth between the girl and the vine several times, then suddenly pulled out a knife from his storage space and swung it at the vine.

“Clang~”

As the sound of metal clashing echoed, Yang Dian also felt a long-unfelt sense of obstruction.

But it was fine.

Although the vine was tough, it was still no match for the sharpness of the treasured knife from Yu Tian's treasury, nor for Yang Dian's immense strength.

Picking up the section of vine cut by the treasured knife, Yang Dian turned to the girl:

"Are you afraid of this thing?"

The girl trembled, then turned away, remaining silent, tacitly agreeing.

Yang Dian observed the somewhat delicate-looking girl, then looked at the bowl-sized vine on the tip of his knife, a playful expression on his face:

"I didn't realize~"

After a sigh, he didn't tease the girl any further, casually impaling the vine with the knife tip and pinning it to the cave wall, then walked towards the direction indicated by the torches.

After walking several thousand more steps, he exited the cave, and the view suddenly opened up.

Inside and outside the cave were two completely different worlds.

Inside the cave, even with torchlight, visibility remained dim.

Outside the cave, there was a blue sky, white clouds, and green grass.

A magnificent temple, over a thousand meters tall, built entirely of unknown giant stones, seemingly boundless left and right, stood on the grassy plain, exuding a profound and ancient aura.

'Just before stepping out of the cave, it was completely dark outside.'

'An illusion?'

Calming himself for a moment, Yang Dian opened his eyes again.

The temple was still as magnificent, profound, and ancient as when he first saw it.

In contemplation, he took a step back.

The world became as dim as before.

'No spatial teleportation, no energy fluctuations, and it doesn't seem like an illusion.'

'So, why is this happening?'

After going in and out for a while, Yang Dian suddenly turned around and stared at the cave.

Or rather, he stared at the few inconspicuous 'dark particles' at the very edge of the cave.

"This kind of energy..."

He casually grabbed a dark particle into his palm, and the light from the sky then shone into the cave.

Stepping back into the cave and looking out, the darkness was gone.

The blue sky, white clouds, green grass, and the profound temple all appeared within his sight.

Opening his palm, he released control over the dark particle.

The dark particle, as if it had a mind of its own, floated directly to the junction of the inside and outside of the cave, then arranged itself in a cage-like formation, once again bringing forth shadows and obscuring the inside and outside of the cave.

"What a magical energy particle."

"It seems to be specifically created to prevent sunlight from shining into narrow areas."

"Is this a naturally occurring energy particle, or a man-made one?"

Yang Dian didn't know.

The girl also didn't know anything, unable to give Yang Dian an answer.

'Perhaps, everything is hidden within the temple?'

He looked up at the tightly closed temple gate, which seemed unwelcoming to Yang Dian's arrival.

He looked down at the purple vine that had emerged from the soil and entered the cave.

Yang Dian then used his Mental Energy to sense the bottom of the cave.

The section of vine that Yang Dian had cut was still pinned to the cave wall by the treasured knife, showing no movement.

"Last time you entered this cursed place, when did that vine start moving?"

The girl trembled:

"How... how did you know?"

Yang Dian scoffed:

"You're acting so obviously, how could I not know?"

The girl, hearing this, fidgeted with her fingers, turned her head, and said with some difficulty:

"As soon as I entered the cave, the vine hoisted me up."

Yang Dian nodded thoughtfully.

"Last time you just entered the cave, and it hoisted you up."

"So why isn't it moving now?"

"Does it fear me, or is it a case of two kings not meeting?"

As he spoke, Yang Dian bent his finger, and nine-colored light flickered at his fingertip and palm.

"If it fears me, then I'm going to hit you..."
