124: Traits: Malice Sense, Astral Cave

“The time on the Alien Planet seems to pass faster than on Earth.”

Looking up at the setting sun on the horizon, and the Holy Mountain which remained an ordinary snow mountain without any spectacular changes, Yang Dian said.

“So, was last night a hallucination, or is there another secret hidden within the Holy Mountain?”

He shook his head, no longer dwelling on such thoughts.

After all, what is fated will come, and what is not fated should not be forced.

If all else failed, he would just go and chop down dozens more Six-Armed Lizardmen, enter the Unity of Man and Nature state, and then ask the mother earth.

For now, it was more important to get the special trait.

He held his sword under his armpit, pointing it diagonally towards the sky.

A hexagonal snowflake was precisely hit by the tip of his sword.

As the ant-sized snowflake hung on the sword tip, the panel floating at the corner of Yang Dian’s eye fluctuated.

Night Battle in All Directions’ first trait: Malice Perception.

The moment the trait appeared, all the hairs on Yang Dian’s body stood on end.

The Alien Planet’s malice towards him was too great!

The heaven and earth, the wind and snow, even the small pebbles under his feet, all continuously emanated malice towards him.

The malice emanating from a single object was not significant.

It was merely them saying they ‘disliked’ Yang Dian.

But the sheer quantity was overwhelming!

The malice of the entire world assailed him, and the world seemed to tilt and crush him under its weight. Could an ordinary person withstand that feeling?

Feeling somewhat paranoid, Yang Dian touched the goosebumps on his hand and couldn’t help but shiver.

“Giao~”

“I knew I shouldn’t have gotten this trait first!”

“It’s a bit hard to bear.”

Resisting the urge to immediately leave the Alien Planet and return to Earth, Yang Dian poked the ground with his sword.

“Tone it down. If you don’t, sooner or later I’ll stab you through with my sword and roast you on the sun.”

The Alien Planet remained silent, merely continuing to emanate malice towards Yang Dian.

“Damn it!”

After cursing, Yang Dian quickly resumed his actions.

His Qi and blood swept away the accumulated snow, and his longsword cut through the frozen earth.

Later, feeling that the longsword was inconvenient, he simply transformed it into a shovel.

“No complaints.”

“The star matter that can freely change its form is truly amazing!”

Yang Dian, in the Incarnation of a groundhog, dug and dug in this area.

He dug until the moon hung above the treetops, and he began to doubt his life.

“How about I go chop down a few Six-Armed Lizardmen for some excitement?”

Scratching his head, he glanced at the night sky again.

Just like the previous two nights, the stars and moon were not visible, but starlight still pierced through the spatial nodes, showering down upon the earth.

“Just a few more shovels.”

“If I really can’t find anything, I’ll go gather another wave of the mother earth’s favor.”

As he muttered, he brought down the shovel in his hand, and a “plop” sound, different from usual, entered Yang Dian’s ears.

‘Dug through?’

With that thought, Yang Dian swung the shovel in his hand, leaving afterimages.

A moment later, a sloping, winding cave, as if scoured by an underground river, appeared before Yang Dian’s eyes.

He stepped into the cave, turning his head to look at the crystal rock wall that emitted bright starlight from within. Yang Dian’s eyes, like the rock wall, became sparkling.

Everything he saw yesterday should not be called a simple hallucination.

Instead, it was a ‘real world’ he saw after taking the wondrous golden lotus, which allowed his thoughts to merge with heaven and earth, causing his spirit to transcend his physical body.

This starlit cave, seemingly untouched by human foot, was the best proof.

He subconsciously reached out his right hand to touch the crystal rock wall.

But the moment he touched the wall, Yang Dian’s nerves instinctively twitched, like an ordinary person touching scalding hot water, and he abruptly pulled his right hand back.

In the glowing white starlight, he lowered his head and saw the crimson fascia exposed where his skin had been corroded through at his fingertip.

Yang Dian then looked at the crystal wall with a strange expression.

“This…”

Recalling the knowledge he had seen on Douyin, ‘glowing Ore is basically radioactive,’ Yang Dian subconsciously took two steps back, moving away from the wall.

“Radiation corrosion?”

If it weren’t for the Iron Shirt having its first trait, which strengthened his subcutaneous fascia to the point of being comparable to armor, his simple touch would have resulted in more than just corroded skin.

Therefore, Yang Dian could basically confirm that the material forming this Ore vein before him was an elemental substance never before seen on Earth.

Given the abnormal state of his body now, there could be no elemental substance on Earth, apart from wondrous items, that could corrode his flesh upon a mere touch.

“Oh wow~”

“Such a large Ore vein.”

“Massive merits within reach!”

After praising, Yang Dian took out a small medicine bottle tucked at his waist, poured out some powder, and applied it to his fingertip.

The small pink medicine produced by the military was highly praised even by prisoners of war.

Closing the small medicine bottle and looking at the somewhat dim passage in the starlight, Yang Dian first returned to the cave entrance to firmly remember the cave’s location.

Then, after making some concealment at the entrance, he returned inside the cave, his legs moving like an afterimage as he rushed towards the depths of the cave.

He wasn’t planning to kill any more Lizardmen.

After Awakening the ‘Malice Perception’ trait, the perceived malice from the Alien Planet was too immense.

Even though he knew he wouldn’t attract disaster or ill omens before killing 50, the feeling of watching the world’s malice towards him gradually increase was truly unpleasant.

It was better to grab the benefits and then make a run for it.

As the cave spiraled downwards, the temperature inside the cave also began to gradually rise.

Yang Dian didn’t know if the temperature increased because his position was gradually delving deeper underground, or if the surrounding radiation increased, leading to more damage to his body.

He just felt that since he had come this far, he had to see what good things were hidden inside the cave.

Even if he couldn’t reach the bottom of the cave, he needed to know his limits.

Turning another corner, an unexpected, yet reasonable, skeleton entered Yang Dian’s eyes.

The skeleton of an Eight-Armed Lizardman.

The Eight-Armed Lizardman lying on the ground was tall, taller than the three Eight-Armed Lizardmen Yang Dian had seen before.

Just by visual estimation, the Lizardman’s skeleton was nearly 9 meters tall.

It was hard to imagine the oppressive presence such a monster, two stories high with eight arms, would have had in life.

“So, are there other risks in the cave, or was this Lizardman simply killed by radiation?”

“Should I continue deeper?”

He reached out and poked the Eight-Armed Lizardman’s skeleton, which turned to dust upon contact due to the radiation.

After confirming that it left no good items or useful information, Yang Dian hesitated for a moment, then again rushed towards the depths of the cave.

It was still those four words.

Since he had come this far!

As he delved deeper underground, the temperature and radiation inside the cave further increased.

Feeling an itching sensation on his skin, Yang Dian controlled his Qi and blood to form a veil-like layer over his body, blocking the effects of the radiation.

“But then again, why isn’t my scalp tingling?”

The thought had barely crossed his mind when Dudu, who was in Fusion with his hair, transmitted a message.

“Delicious~”

He paused and touched his hair, a hint of surprise appearing on Yang Dian’s face.

“Delicious?”

“Dudu, you can eat the radiation in the cave?”

Connecting Dudu’s abilities, the starlit river he ‘saw’ last night, and the cave that seemed to flow with a starlit river as he ran, Yang Dian’s eyes lit up.

“Is the radiation a star matter energy radiation?”

With a thought, his Qi and blood returned to his body, and starlight emanated from Yang Dian’s body, finally forming a flawless starlight armor.

He clenched his fist; although he had lost the protection of his Qi and blood, the itching sensation did not reappear.

Just as he thought, the armor condensed from star matter perfectly blocked the radiation inside the cave.

However…
