760: Space-Time Storm

Whether Bear Tyrant was crazy or not, Yang Dian didn't know, but he felt like he was truly going insane.

The moment Bear Tyrant opened his mouth, Yang Dian sensed he had been ensnared by a certain power.

It was useless for the Dimension Butterfly to take him and hide in the 99th spatial layer.

When he tried to signal the Dimension Butterfly to teleport him back, he realized the Dimension Butterfly had also been trapped.

Its spatial traversal ability was limited to within this space.

"So, does heaven punish those who are arrogant?"

Standing in the 78th spatial layer, watching Bear Tyrant gradually 'wither' in the real world, Yang Dian couldn't help but reveal a bitter smile.

"Tell me, do you think we can still return to Earth?"

The Dimension Butterfly flapped its wings and flew behind Yang Dian, enlarging its body and drooping its wings to shield him beneath them.

It didn't speak, but used its actions to express its thoughts.

If he were to die, it would die before Yang Dian.

"Du Du~" Du Du extended a tentacle to hold Yang Dian's hand, indicating that it would be with him forever.

The Little Black Cat crawled out of the spatial bracelet and jumped into Yang Dian's arms.

"Human, have we encountered danger?"

Yang Dian shook his head slightly.

He had tested it.

When he left the 78th spatial layer and had the Dimension Butterfly take him to the 77th spatial layer, a terrifying sense of fatal threat would envelop his entire body.

But when he returned to the 78th spatial layer, this sense of fatal threat would vanish.

In other words, although Bear Tyrant had blood-sacrificed everything he had, he could only restrict Yang Dian within the Dimensional Battlefield.

Furthermore, the attacks triggered by sacrificing himself could only reach the first 77 spatial layers.

Beyond the 77th spatial layer, his sacrifice seemed somewhat powerless.

But powerless did not mean completely ineffective.

If it were completely ineffective, how could the Dimension Butterfly be trapped and unable to escape?

"If space is useless, can I just fly out physically?"

The moment this thought crossed his mind, Bear Tyrant's chanting outside had reached its final stage.

"With my blood, as the beginning of the sacrifice!"

"First sacrifice of flesh and blood, dissolving muscle and eroding bone, wishing to exchange for his body, bound by karmic illness!"

As the sound faded, dark red blood flowed out from Bear Tyrant's body, circled once, and then turned into toxic smoke that permeated the space.

"I knew that guy was hiding in the spatial layers, I just didn't know which one."

As the bystanders whispered, Bear Tyrant's body had lost all its moisture and became incredibly withered.

Watching the withered, yellow hair on Bear Tyrant's body drift away in the wind, only a withered skeleton remained in place.

And the blood-colored toxic smoke that had come to the 77th spatial layer—or rather, was hovering incessantly in front of him, wanting to pounce on him but blocked by a thin spatial barrier.

The vein on Yang Dian's temple throbbed wildly.

"What kind of grudge or enmity is this, to mess with me like this?"

Clearly, he had selectively forgotten that he had just destroyed someone else's home base.

"With my Soul, as the continuation of the sacrifice!"

Bear Tyrant's self-blood sacrifice continued.

The withered yellow skeleton stood in place, opening and closing its mouth, its cold and insane Soul-voice echoing across the world:

"Second sacrifice of Soul, eternally falling into the infinite abyss, wishing to exchange for his body, a lonely star entering the tomb!"

Yang Dian's Luck fluctuated.

He saw a wisp of dark, gloomy clouds entangling himself.

That was not a curse aimed at him.

It was aimed at his Bloodline relatives.

"Fortunately, this place is far enough from Earth."

"This thing cannot cross the star sea to curse my mom and dad."

"However..."

"Before I resolve this thing, I really can't go back~"

Muttering to himself, Yang Dian saw a point of spiritual light ignite from between Bear Tyrant's brows.

"With my true spirit, as the end of the sacrifice!"

"Third sacrifice of true spirit, never to return for all eternity, wishing to exchange for his Dao, severing his ultimate path!"

As the sound faded, that point of true spirit melted into a blood-red color, eventually returning to nothingness.

At the same time, Yang Dian sensed a chain, existing only within the Realm of mental perception, born from the void and winding towards him.

Fortunately, the Dimension Butterfly was there.

It took Yang Dian and dodged again and again; it seemed like they were about to be caught every time, but the Dimension Butterfly was able to take Yang Dian away from the chains' entanglement at just the right moment.

Watching the gradually dimming light on the chains, Yang Dian slowly exhaled.

"It's a good thing I have the Butterfly."

"Otherwise, I would really be in trouble."

"Wait, that's not right."

"If it weren't for this guy, I wouldn't have come to this damn place."

But thinking carefully, if it weren't for the Dimension Butterfly, would he have even finished dealing with the Lizardmen Alien Planet, or would he still be brawling with the Lizardmen?

With the Strange Star joining the war later, he would not only have to face the Lizardmen invasion but also the rampaging weirdness, and participate in some damn Strange Game.

Three planets...

No, after adding Tiannan Star it should be a chaotic battle of four planets, and adding the Lingwen Clan Alien Planet makes it five, and he might even be targeted by the Little Star God.

Could Earth's situation be as good as it is now?

One can only say that misfortune is where happiness lies, and happiness is where misfortune hides.

Just as Yang Dian was pondering whether Bear Tyrant's three sacrifices were over, and that once he dragged out the true spirit curse, he could start working on the Soul curse on his body and the blood poison curse in the 77th spatial layer,

Bear Tyrant, who had been quiet for a long time, experienced a sudden flash of vitality and ignited once more:

"Even the blood sacrifice cannot deal with you?"

"I don't believe it!"

"Heavenly Dao above, today Bear Tyrant is here to blood-sacrifice everything."

"My body, Soul, and true spirit!"

"Sacrificing the Luck of my race."

"Bear Tyrant!" The old Black Bear Demon stood up on his hind legs:

"Our race has not been destroyed yet!"

Bear Tyrant, who had become a skeletal bear, ignored him.

His insanity was feigned, but it was also real.

Once he made up his mind to go crazy, he was truly crazy.

He had already blood-sacrificed himself; what was wrong with sacrificing the remaining racial Luck?

"Pouring out everything I have, cursing his Bloodline to wither, his Dao foundation to collapse, to fall into the netherworld forever, never to be liberated for all eternity."

As the sound faded, the feedback from the unknown fell upon the skeletal bear, and a voice of disbelief rang out from within the skeletal bear's skull.

"Still not working?"

"Pouring out everything I have, cursing his Dao foundation to collapse, to fall into the netherworld forever, never to be liberated for all eternity!"

As the sound faded, the blood mist in the 77th layer suddenly dissipated, and when it appeared again, it filled the entire spatial layer.

From the 1st spatial layer to the 99th spatial layer, his figure was everywhere.

With nowhere left to hide, Yang Dian prepared for a final struggle:

"Damn you and your ancestors!"

As the sound faded, endless blood mist surged towards Yang Dian.

This blood mist seemed to have no substance, passing directly through the Dimension Butterfly's protection.

But it could also annihilate with the Life Core in Yang Dian's palm.

"It seems... I can survive?"

The moment this thought crossed his mind, a terrifying Space-Time Storm whipped up in the spatial layer; the Dimension Butterfly didn't even struggle, being instantly swept into it.

In the core area of the Dimensional Battlefield, the sliver of obsession that maintained Bear Tyrant's skeleton finally dissipated as Yang Dian was swept into the Space-Time Storm.

The huge yet thin skeleton instantly disintegrated into flying ashes, finally melting into the space.

Bear Tyrant had sacrificed everything of himself, naturally including his skeleton.

Watching everything belonging to Bear Tyrant vanish, the Old Ancestor of the Bear clan opened his mouth, finally looking around at the surroundings:

"Bear Tyrant is dead, the Bear clan has lost its Luck, and the ancestral star is destroyed."

"But I, the old bear, am not dead."

He took the remaining clansmen and flew towards a bright star.

That was the territory of a weak race.

"Whoever dares to disturb my clan's recuperation, I, the old bear, won't mind learning from that unfilial son Bear Tyrant and performing a blood sacrifice myself."

The crowd was silent; only after the old bear disappeared from view did murmurs arise.

"The Bear clan is finished."

"It's not just the Bear clan that's finished in this Myriad Realms Battlefield; if you don't leave the battlefield, it's just a matter of time."

"Heh, this battlefield is uniquely endowed by heaven, capable of producing a world treasure every hundred thousand years; are you willing to leave?"

"So what if we don't leave? How many people die every time a treasure is born? How many civilizations perish? This time is considered good."

"It's a pity for the Human Race, they finally managed to grab a treasure, and heh, they were cursed to death by that lunatic Bear Tyrant."

"Bear Tyrant was truly crazy. Even if he didn't get the treasure, and most of his true blood was taken, and his ancestral star was gone, at least he was still alive! A strong person can form a race alone; it's not impossible to find another ancestral land. Why couldn't he think straight and risk his life against someone?"

Someone laughed upon hearing this:

"Perhaps he was risking his life to show us."

Someone followed with a laugh:

"But it's just the ancestral star shattering, the Soul vibrating, and the Realm being lost; what's the big deal?"

"Even if we ate him, we could guarantee that a sliver of his true spirit would remain, allowing him to Reincarnation and be Rebirth with his memories, still having a chance to start over in the next life. Why sacrifice everything?"

"Why care so much? It's been a long time since we had a snack; shall we go pay that old bear a visit?"

"Let's go, let's go; that old bear wants to bluff us with just one sentence, as if that's so easy..."

...

In the Dimensional Battlefield, hundreds of Star-Shattering level powerhouses gathered and dispersed, returning to the usual calm.

In the Space-Time Storm, Yang Dian watched the Life Core in his hand, which was constantly annihilating the curse, his heart bleeding with pain.

"Even if I can resist the curse, the energy in this Life Core is almost completely depleted."

"Apart from grabbing a big planet and taking some Origin from the star core, am I working for nothing this time?"

As he spoke, he poked the Dimension Butterfly again:

"When will this Space-Time Storm end? We won't really fall into that damn Nine Nether, will we?"

"Come to think of it, could the Nine Nether be a spatial gap?"

As the sound faded, the sky turned dark.

A more violent Space-Time Storm swept over...
