316: Mountains of corpses and seas of blood
Lizardmen Sacred Mountain.
As Su Qinglian landed, she saw a pitch-black crack spreading towards her.
The moment she thought of dodging, the crack had already passed through her.
She subconsciously touched the spot on her chest where the crack had pierced through, but found no wound and felt no pain.
She breathed a sigh of relief, then frowned:
"Sigh, an illusion? Why is nothing happening?"
She mumbled, then felt something cold land on her face.
She wiped her cheek, and her palm turned crimson, with a metallic, rusty smell.
Looking up at the sky, the clear blue sky was also torn apart by black crack, and countless pieces of flesh rained down with a pitter-patter.
What landed on her face was blood, splattered by the wind.
In her daze, she heard another "creak" from afar, a sound that seemed capable of scrambling her brains.
As the sound came, the ground beneath her feet began to tremble.
Reaching back to touch the goosebumps that had erupted on the back of her neck from an inexplicable fear, Su Qinglian stiffly raised her head and looked towards the source of the sound.
The mountain had fallen.
Literally fallen.
The towering Lizardmen Sacred Mountain was diagonally severed by a black crack, and a massive impact crater appeared on one side of the mountain peak.
At this very moment, the diagonally severed Lizardmen Sacred Mountain was sliding and toppling along the direction of the 'impact crater'.
The earth trembled simply because the pillars had fallen and the mountain shifted.
"Who am I? Where am I? What happened?"
Su Qinglian felt her mind was a bit overwhelmed.
When she fell from the sky, the Alien Planet was still normal.
But after she landed, why did the world seem to be torn apart by black crack?
The strange thing was that while this black crack could tear the sky and shatter the earth, when it passed through her, it didn't cause her any harm.
Moreover, the crack was clearly pitch-black, as if it would swallow all matter and light.
But she seemed to have x-ray vision, able to see through the black crack and discern the scene behind it.
In her confusion, she saw Yang Dian suddenly appear beside her.
So she subconsciously stammered:
"Is this what you meant by 'different'?"
Yang Dian flicked a golden Dragon claw formed from Qi and blood, and after a "clank" from the collision of his fingertips, he smiled and said:
"How is it? Isn't it that the past is the past, and now is now?"
Su Qinglian swallowed, looked up and around, gazing at the crack that seemed to tear space, and at the Lizardmen Sacred Mountain, which was dismembered into countless pieces upon contact with the crack as it toppled, feeling somewhat incredulous:
"Can Martial Dao reach such a level?"
Yang Dian snapped his fingers.
With a crisp "snap," the crack, as if etched into space, trembled.
Then the world seemed to be twisted and dismembered, light and scenery cut into segments, sections, and pieces.
This bizarre scene lasted only for an instant.
After an instant, all the strangeness seemed to find its source, converging in an extremely eerie manner onto Yang Dian's index fingertip, forming a brilliant silver sphere.
The world returned to its original state.
However, the countless dismembered corpses on the ground, the rivers of blood, and the Sacred Mountain collapsing with a "rumble," causing the earth to tremble, all testified that what had just happened was not an illusion.
The energy that Yang Dian had condensed into a silver sphere dropped downwards.
Upon touching Yang Dian's fingertip, it seemed like a drop of water on a desert, instantly soaking into his fingertip.
Energy recycling is Yang Dian's specialty.
After recovering the residual energy, Yang Dian scanned the Alien Planet life forms flying from the horizon, full of malice yet timidly hesitant to approach.
With a faint laugh, he clasped his hands behind his back, looked at the corpse-strewn, devastated land, and said:
"Martial Dao is also a Dao."
"Dao is one, it is the primordial, the foundation of all things."
"Dao can create all things, so why can't it achieve this?"
"If Dao can achieve this, why can't Martial Dao?"
Su Qinglian originally wanted to quietly watch Yang Dian show off without playing along.
But in the end, she couldn't control her curiosity:
"After entering the Alien Planet, the external Qi and blood, and extraordinary power, are severely suppressed, aren't they?"
"How can you still use extraordinary power?"
"I feel like even the Alien Planet is about to be torn apart by you."
Yang Dian looked back at Su Qinglian:
"Is it strange?"
After asking a rhetorical question, Yang Dian flicked his finger, and a rhomboid star core fragment, about the size of two sunflower seeds, appeared on his fingertip.
As soon as the fragment appeared, the Alien Planet life forms that had been hovering in the distant sky, hesitant to approach due to the endless Evil Qi from the mountains of corpses and rivers of blood, instantly went mad, screeching, roaring, and charging towards Yang Dian.
However, the moment they moved, a trace of blue light appeared in Yang Dian's eyes.
Two seconds later, Flying Swords of starlight, no bigger than toothpicks, appeared out of thin air beside Yang Dian, silently streaking across the sky, piercing through the heads of one Alien Planet life form after another.
Su Qinglian blinked:
"What is this move called?"
Yang Dian frowned slightly:
"Haven't thought of it yet."
"Anyway, once you practice Martial Arts to a certain level, you can control your own biological magnetic field."
"At this point, you just need to comprehend the power of space, find a symbiotic wondrous item that can integrate into your body, then use spatial power to open a sub-dimensional space in your blood vessels, use your own blood vessels as tracks, accelerate the symbiotic wondrous item with a magnetic field, and once the symbiotic wondrous item reaches its maximum speed, open a gate and release it."
"See." Yang Dian pointed at the Alien Planet flying creatures in the sky, headless from the Flying Swords, raining down like rain:
"You can achieve this."
Su Qinglian opened her mouth, about to say something.
But before she could speak, Yang Dian spoke first:
"I know, comprehending space is very difficult."
"After all, it's something even I haven't achieved."
"So, if you can't comprehend space, then find a space-type creature that is connected to your heart and completely obeys your commands, or a space-type wondrous item that can help you wield spatial power."
"Using them to indirectly control space also works."
"That's what I did."
As his voice fell, spatial fluctuations surged on the starlight Flying Swords that had already flown to the horizon.
After a blur, the starlight Flying Swords reappeared beside Yang Dian, were adjusted in their flight path by him, and then silently stabbed towards the Alien Planet creatures again.
As he controlled the Flying Swords to come and go, covering the sky like rain, piercing through one Alien Planet creature after another, Yang Dian also anticipated Su Qinglian's question and began to explain before she could open her mouth:
"I've anchored a point on these small Flying Swords."
"The anchor point is right beside me."
"Once a Flying Sword leaves me beyond a certain position, it will trigger the anchor point on it, open a spatial channel through the anchor point, and transport it to the location of the beacon."
"In other words, these magnetic field Flying Swords of mine aren't shot out and then unrecoverable; they can constantly go back and forth and be reused."
After explaining, Yang Dian smiled again:
"How about it, isn't it amazing?"
