773: Open a new copy

So, to reiterate.

Why does the destiny book give Yang Dian whatever he wants?

Is he really being treated as the protagonist?

Lost in thought, Yang Dian recalled how he entered the Destiny Realm.

He encountered another, larger spatio-temporal storm during a spatio-temporal storm, yet survived and coincidentally landed in the Destiny Realm.

Immediately after, Yang Dian remembered the two words the Myriad Heavens Reincarnation Path left before departing.

Good karma.

"So, does the destiny book think I have Heaven-Defying Luck, just like the Myriad Heavens Reincarnation Path, and wants to form a good karma with me?"

"Or did it notice the existence of the Dimension Butterfly?"

"Or did its Wisdom Eye recognize my peerless Aptitude, and that's why it's investing so heavily in me?"

There were many possibilities, so Yang Dian didn't know which one it was.

But no matter which it was, Yang Dian knew that with his current strength, he had no means of resistance.

"So, it still comes down to strength ~"

With a sigh, Yang Dian released the destiny book.

The destiny book then transformed into a stream of light and entered Yang Dian's body.

Yang Dian immediately felt that the bit of destiny power he controlled had become several times denser.

If it was rootless duckweed before, now, the power of destiny was like a seed that had grown roots, just waiting to sprout and grow into a towering tree.

"Or is it because I comprehended a trace of the rules of destiny?"

Suppressing the last thought that arose in his mind, Yang Dian then dialed the Think Tank's communication.

An immortal on earth, acting as one pleases.

This was the script the destiny book gave him.

His contacting Earth was also acting as he pleased, which should conform to the script, right?

As for whether the destiny book would lock onto Earth's coordinates?

If it wanted to lock on, it would have done so already.

Since struggling was useless, it was better to maximize benefits.

Three soft clicks, and the communication connected.

Han Zhang's projection appeared beside Yang Dian.

After he appeared, he first surveyed the surrounding environment, then looked at Yang Dian, silent.

But the emotions in his eyes clearly conveyed his thoughts.

"If the powerful beings in my current environment harbor ill will towards us, we have no means of resistance."

"Since he didn't make a move before, this means he won't make a move in the future either."

"At least until he achieves his goals, we are safe."

"So there's no need to worry too much."

"All we need to do is to improve our strength as much as possible before that unknown, potentially dangerous future arrives."

Han Zhang nodded, then said:

"After receiving your message, we held a temporary meeting, analyzing each rule and Alliance regulation of the Human Race Alliance, and each precedent."

"We barely managed to sort through the information."

"Ultimately, we decided not to join."

Yang Dian raised an eyebrow, no longer in a hurry to talk about the Destiny Realm:

"Why?"

Han Zhang opened a projection, speaking directly:

"Joining the Human Race Alliance almost means losing the potential for civilization development."

"Take the Moxing Civilization as an example."

"This example sounds very good."

"After joining the Human Race Alliance for 800 years, they experienced 7 Dimensional Wars, 6 of which faced the threat of annihilation, and it was the Alliance that intervened, saving the Moxing Civilization from dire straits."

"But."

"How did the dire straits come about?"

"Over 800 years, 50% of the resources mined by the Moxing Civilization were collected by the 'Upper Sect' under the guise of protection."

"Of the remaining 50% of resources, 45% were manufactured into weapons of war and handed over to the Human Race Alliance as taxes."

"Only 5% truly fell into their hands."

"Under the resource supply of the Human Race Alliance, many fourth-tier powerhouses were born, meaning transcendent beings with planet-shattering destructive power."

"But these powerhouses were all conscripted under the name of war, sent to the front lines, and have not returned to this day."

"Without the protection of powerhouses, and with insufficient resources to protect the Citizens, the Moxing Civilization was defeated in subsequent Dimensional Wars."

"If the powerhouses were still guarding Moxing, and all the obtained resources were used by themselves, Moxing might not have been defeated in the subsequent Dimensional Wars."

"So it seems that Moxing received the protection of the Human Civilization, but in reality, the Moxing Civilization almost lost its future."

"With resources plundered and powerhouses conscripted, how difficult is it to develop and break free from the shackles of the 'Upper Sect' in such a situation?"

"If we join the Human Race Alliance, without a doubt, you and future Cultivators who Breakthrough to the fourth tier will directly enter the front-line battlefield."

"Dr. Bai and other scientists will be conscripted by the 'Upper Sect'."

"Our civilization will lose its core competitiveness and become ordinary."

"We can join the Human Race Alliance, but the premise is to have enough autonomy."

"And the premise for having enough autonomy is for the civilization to have a sixth-tier powerhouse, or to develop sixth-tier technology."

"Joining the Human Race Alliance before achieving these two conditions is not so much seeking protection as it is becoming a slave for potential future crises."

"Huaxia can die standing, but cannot live kneeling."

At this point, Han Zhang added:

"Of course, this is on the premise of preserving the tinder."

"If we can't even preserve the tinder, then kneeling is just kneeling."

"Where there's life, there's hope."

"If civilization is gone, everything is gone."

"This is the consensus of all of us."

Looking at Han Zhang, whose face was as pure as jade yet unyielding, and whose bottom line was extremely flexible, Yang Dian couldn't help but give him a thumbs up:

"Uncle Han makes sense."

After praising him, Yang Dian flicked his fingers:

"Since we've decided not to join the Human Race Alliance, then we won't."

"When we become the rule-makers, we can completely create our own pan-Universe Human Race Alliance, or pan-Universe Huaxia Alliance, and make our own rules."

"Of course, the prerequisite is to have enough strength."

At this point, Yang Dian changed his tone:

"To have enough strength, we need to approach it from multiple angles."

"First, continue to engage in Dimensional Wars with other Alien Planets."

"The Spiritual Qi tide's feedback can improve Aptitude, and Alien Planet resources can accelerate our development."

"Second, improve the Cultivation environment."

"I'm already working on this; Zero has already deployed Spiritual Qi gathering facilities, and once I return from outside, I can turn the Cultivation areas into rich Spiritual Qi areas."

"Third, urge the Citizens to Cultivate diligently."

"This goes without saying; the Citizens are more diligent than anyone."

"However, some people are indeed not suitable for Cultivation, even after several Qi Revival feedbacks, practicing for more than ten or twenty hours a day, and using plenty of resources, they still haven't broken through their Bottleneck. These people may need to improve through other means."

Han Zhang blinked:

"What means?"

He was very concerned about this question.

After all, he was one of 'these people'.

He never expected that while his mind was sharp, his Cultivation Aptitude was so poor.

Currently, among the Think Tank, he was the only one who hadn't entered the Qi and Blood Wolf Smoke Realm.

As the chief of the Think Tank, to be honest, he felt somewhat ashamed.

Hearing Han Zhang's question, Yang Dian reached out and pulled out the destiny sub-book.

"Let them go to a dungeon..."
