127: Chapter 127 Voting

The Employees of the project team had no objections; they noted down this feedback on their sticky notes.

On the computer screen, the young man was still live-streaming.

He had just finished introducing his basic information and employment history when many chat boxes from HR Staff popped up in the backend.

“Oh my gosh!”

“So many people contacting me! It seems live-streaming for job hunting is really useful...”

The young man chatted while closing the live stream room.

The live stream room was closed.

Shen Yan turned around and asked the people in the office,

“What are your thoughts on this live stream?”

The Employees looked at each other; no one spoke up first.

Seeing that they were hesitant to speak, Shen Yan sighed and said,

“Say whatever you think. Don't just watch my expression. I hired you to help me, not to flatter me.”

As soon as he said this, the Employees started talking.

“Actually, I don't think this live stream function is integrated very well with our software...”

Shen Yan raised an eyebrow and asked, “Why do you say that?”

The Employee cleared his throat and laid out all his insights.

His idea was very simple.

Their software was just a simple application for recruitment and job seeking.

Since it was a job seeking software, they should just do their own job well and not mess around with flashy things.

This live stream and tipping function were completely incompatible with their software.

He felt that they could just remove the live stream function directly.

After stating his thoughts, he cautiously looked at Shen Yan, waiting for his reply.

Shen Yan did not answer him immediately but shifted his gaze to the others.

“Does anyone else have other ideas?”

As soon as his voice fell,

A familiar voice rang out—it was Cheng Shi.

He said, “Actually, I think this live stream function is quite necessary.”

Saying that, he handed the data in his hand to everyone to see.

“Look, the live stream function has only been online for a few hours, but our software's user base has increased by several hundred thousand.”

“Such a sudden surge in user numbers indicates that this function can bring traffic to our software, so I believe there is no need to remove the live stream function.”

Each side had its own justification.

Shen Yan felt that what both Employees said had merit.

But he still did not express his own opinion, only continuing to ask everyone, “Does anyone else have a different opinion?”

No one spoke.

It seemed there were no differing opinions left.

Thinking this, Shen Yan stood up and said to everyone, “Alright, I will consider your suggestions. We will meet in the conference room in half an hour.”

After speaking, he walked straight back to his office.

As soon as he returned to the office, Chen Guangke and Wu Ya followed him in.

Seeing the two of them, Shen Yan asked them, “Is there something you need?”

Chen Guangke and Wu Ya sat down opposite him.

“What else could it be? It’s about this live stream. What exactly are you thinking? Should we remove this live stream function or not?”

Shen Yan sat in his chair, spun around once, and asked, “Before you ask for my thoughts, let me ask you first—what are your thoughts? What do you think?”

Chen Guangke opened his mouth, wanting to speak but stopping.

Previously, he thought the same as the first Employee—that this function shouldn't have been launched because it was incompatible with their software.

But now... he had changed his mind slightly.

Whether a software is good or not, data is the most intuitive indicator.

Now the data showed that everyone really liked the live stream function.

Since that was the case, there was no need to remove the live stream function.

After thinking it over, he told Shen Yan his thoughts.

After listening, Shen Yan then asked Wu Ya,

“What are your thoughts?”

Wu Ya shrugged her shoulders and replied, “To be honest, I don't have many thoughts. If I absolutely had to say something, I would say this live stream function brings us a certain amount of risk.”

Shen Yan blinked, somewhat surprised.

“Why do you say that?”

Wu Ya calmly replied, “It’s very simple. It’s because we are not a platform specializing in live streaming. We don't have enough backend staff to monitor the streamers for us.”

“Not having enough backend staff to monitor the live streams is equivalent to us not having the ability to control the content of the live streams.”

“Brother Shen, do you understand what I mean?”

Shen Yan certainly understood Wu Ya's meaning.

He had also considered this matter.

If someone deliberately posted inappropriate remarks on his software, and they failed to notice it in time, their software could very likely be shut down directly.

“I understand what you all mean. The live stream function has both pros and cons for our software.”

“Now it depends on whether I intend to take the risk and continue with the live stream function, or play it safe and take the live stream function down.”

Chen Guangke nodded and said, “That’s right. But based on my understanding of you, I think you will take the risk and continue with the live stream function.”

Shen Yan smiled slightly and shook his head.

“I might have done that before, but I won't now.”

“Alright, you two can leave now. Let me think this through alone in my office.”

Since he had said so, what else could Chen Guangke and Wu Ya say?

The two of them got up together and left the office.

When Shen Yan was alone in the office, he took out his phone to search for relevant information.

Soon, half an hour passed.

Shen Yan put his phone back into his pocket, left the office, and went to the conference room to attend the meeting.

“I’ve made up my mind. I’ve decided that we will all vote. The minority will abide by the majority.”

Hearing this, everyone looked completely bewildered; they didn't understand what Shen Yan meant.

Seeing everyone looking confused, Shen Yan explained to them.

“The live stream function has pros and cons for our software. The good parts are very good, and the bad parts are very bad. I can't make the decision myself, so I want everyone to vote on whether the live stream function should be removed.”

“The minority will abide by the majority. We will determine whether to cancel the live stream function based on the voting results.”

After listening, everyone understood.

“Are we voting now?”

One of the Employees raised his hand and asked.

Shen Yan nodded and replied, “Yes, we vote right now. To ensure fairness, I will distribute identical slips of paper to everyone shortly, and you can write down your answer on them.”

“After you finish writing, I will tally them privately, and I will tell you the results tomorrow.”

The Employees had no objections.

They took the slips of paper distributed by Wu Ya and wrote down their thoughts.

Meanwhile, on the other side,

Chen Ling was lying at home putting on a face mask.

“Hello, CEO Wang, are you free tonight? Let’s go out for a chat and a meal?”

On the phone, CEO Wang politely declined with a chuckle.

“I’m sorry, CEO Chen, I already have plans tonight. Maybe next time.”
