861: Chapter 856 Someone's probably getting restless.
"Boss, we have guests."
Chen Guangke pressed his earpiece and listened for a moment, his face turning somewhat gloomy.
"These sons of bitches have no honor; they directly released tear gas through the ventilation ducts. The brothers at the front door can barely hold on."
Hans, already terrified, had crawled under the table, clutching his head and trembling.
Shen Yan picked up the silver briefcase and shoved it into Chen Guangke's hands.
"Protect Dr. Lin and the case. This is our lifeline."
He turned around, adjusted his slightly wrinkled collar, and strode toward the door.
Since he had obtained the sword, it was time to see if this sword was fast enough.
"Open the door."
Shen Yan stood before the heavy steel door and spoke to Hans, who was hiding under the table.
"No... No! There's a gunfight outside! I am a citizen of a neutral country!"
Hans shouted with a crying tone.
Shen Yan didn't waste any words; he directly grabbed Hans by the back of his collar, pulled him out, and pressed him against the access control panel.
"From now on, I am your God."
The steel door opened again.
The corridor outside was already filled with white smoke.
Several figures wearing black tactical vests were advancing toward them with practiced tactical movements, holding short assault rifles.
Seeing the door open, several red laser aiming dots instantly converged on Shen Yan's brow.
"Freeze! CIA!"
A fierce shout came from the smoke.
Shen Yan stood at the doorway, neither raising his hands nor dodging.
He walked out casually, as if taking a stroll in his own backyard.
The red laser dots danced across his black cashmere coat.
"This is Swiss territory. I don't recall the CIA having law enforcement jurisdiction here."
Shen Yan's voice pierced through the smoke, clearly reaching everyone's ears.
Opposite him, a burly white man with a full beard lowered his gun, staring fiercely at the oblivious Asian man.
"Hand over the case, and you can leave alive."
The burly man's Chinese was very clumsy, but his threat was clear.
Shen Yan smiled.
He took out his phone from his pocket and pressed the speaker button.
The call had already been connected; it was a special number he had asked 'asking heaven' to dial.
"Hello, is this the Swiss Federal Police? I want to report a crime."
Shen Yan said into the phone, his tone as calm as if he were complaining about a late food delivery.
"At the underground vault of 77 Bahnhofstrasse, there is a group of terrorists attempting an armed robbery. I think your special police unit should be very interested to know that they are carrying American equipment."
The burly man opposite froze.
He hadn't expected that on the fourth underground level, where there was no signal, this lunatic could actually make a call?
And how dare he call the police? If the contents inside were exposed, none of them would have an easy time!
"Are you crazy? If the police come, the item will be confiscated!"
The burly man roared in exasperation.
"That is my legal inheritance. I have all the paperwork. Why should I be afraid of the police confiscating it?"
Shen Yan shrugged, looking innocent.
"It's you guys—a group of undocumented American agents breaking into a neutral country's Bank vault during an election year to commit an act of terrorism."
"What do you think the headline in tomorrow morning's New York Times will read?"
The burly man's face instantly became uglier than if he had eaten excrement.
His order was to retrieve the item secretly and absolutely not to escalate the situation, much less cause a diplomatic incident.
The current situation was completely beyond their contingency plan.
Just then, a piercing police siren sounded in the distance, and the sound of helicopter rotors could even be faintly heard.
The Zurich police reaction speed was faster than imagined.
Or perhaps 'asking heaven' had directly hacked into the police dispatch system and raised the alarm level to the maximum.
"Retreat!"
The burly man glared fiercely at Shen Yan and roared into his earpiece.
He knew that today not only did the duck fly away, but it had also pecked out their eyes in return.
The few men in black acted swiftly, threw down two smoke grenades, and instantly disappeared into the ventilation duct entrance.
The smoke dissipated.
Chen Guangke walked out holding the case, looked at the empty corridor, and spat on the ground.
"They ran just like that? I thought they were tougher."
Shen Yan put away his phone and looked in the direction where the group had disappeared, without much joy of victory.
This was only the first round.
The road ahead was the true Shura field.
"Let's go. We need to leave through the cargo passage before the police arrive."
Shen Yan turned and glanced at Hans, who had completely collapsed on the ground.
"Mr. Mueller, remember to clean up the surveillance footage."
"If you don't clean it up, I'll help you clean up your account."
Hans nodded frantically, like a pecking chick.
When they walked out of the back door of the Bank, the sky was already bright.
Although he hadn't slept all night, Lin Zhiyuan's spirit was surprisingly good, his eyes shining terrifyingly.
He tightly hugged the case, as if hugging his own biological son.
"Boss, this thing is too powerful."
Sitting in the car heading back to the airport, Lin Zhiyuan kept stroking the case and muttering to himself.
"If we merge this with 'asking heaven,' I am confident we can create true Artificial Intelligence within a month!"
"Not that kind of foolish program that only knows how to play Go, but a creative, or even... conscious life form!"
Shen Yan leaned back against the seat, watching the rapidly receding Zurich streetscape outside the window.
"One month is too long."
Shen Yan rubbed his temples.
"I'll give you the best equipment, the most money, I can even move that supercomputer next to your bed."
"Half a month."
"I want to see 'asking heaven' evolve into its complete form."
Lin Zhiyuan was stunned for a moment, then gritted his teeth, a flash of madness crossing his eyes.
"Deal! As long as the money is sufficient, my life is yours!"
Shen Yan didn't speak, just closed his eyes.
In his mind, the giant golden die reappeared.
[Ding! Congratulations to the Host for successfully intercepting the S-rank strategic material 'Red Queen'.]
[Because the Host completed the mission and retreated safely in an extremely short time, a critical strike reward has been triggered.]
[Reward is being generated...]
[Acquired Special Building Blueprint: Underground Quantum Computing Center (Future Technology Version).]
[Acquired Passive Skill: Deterrence Aura (Host's commercial negotiation success rate increased by 3%, hostile forces' rationality value decreased by 20%).]
Quantum Computing Center.
Shen Yan's heartbeat skipped a beat.
With this thing, combined with the 'Red Queen's' code, the computational power ceiling of this world would be completely overturned by him.
By then, even those trillion-dollar capital groups hiding behind the scenes would be nothing more than binary code that he could freely tamper with.
The car drove onto the airport runway.
The gulfstream g650's engines had already begun to preheat.
Shen Yan got out of the car, looked at the rising sun, and took a deep breath of the cold air.
"Let's go home."
He said to Chen Guangke.
"In Jinghai, I estimate someone is already getting restless."
Chen Guangke nodded and gestured for everyone to board the plane.
The plane broke through the clouds, flying toward the sun in the east.
Behind them, that ancient Jinghai of finance was destined to stir up tremendous waves in the coming days, like a giant beast just awakened.
But that no longer concerned Shen Yan.
