589: Chapter 584 A Difficult Rights Protection?

Shen Yan's finger tapped lightly on the tablet, and the screen displayed the photos and information of two people.

One was her ex-husband, Gao Jun.

The other was Gao Jun's partner, Sun Miao.

"Gao Jun is arrogant and overly concerned with face. He is the mastermind and the direct executor who stole your work."

"But his weakness is also his arrogance."

"Sun Miao is even more interesting. His resume shows he comes from an ordinary background, is extremely ambitious, and has a strong desire for money."

Shen Yan's gaze fell upon Li Jing's face.

"Do you think the cooperation between those two is unbreakable?"

Li Jing froze; she had never considered that question.

"I... I don't know."

"There are only two types of relationships in this world that are truly stable. One is blood ties, and the other is shared interests."

"Their relationship is clearly the latter."

Shen Yan stood up and walked to the huge whiteboard.

He picked up a marker and wrote a few words on it.

Public Opinion War.

Chain of Evidence.

Legal Weapon.

"Your current situation is being besieged on all sides."

"First, in terms of public opinion, 'Brilliant Era' has already framed you as a plagiarist. Your reputation is ruined; this is the dirt they are throwing on you."

"Second, regarding evidence, none of your materials possess unique traceability, whereas their finished product has already applied for a patent. They stand in an advantageous position."

"Third, legally, they have a top domestic legal team, and you cannot even afford a decent lawyer."

With every word he spoke, Li Jing's heart sank a little further.

These words were sharper than knives, stripping away the last shred of her lucky (luck/hope).

"Therefore," Shen Yan turned around, "what we need to do is not defend, but attack."

"And we must start from the place they least expect."

He drew a circle under the words 'Public Opinion War'.

"Our first step in the counterattack is not sending a lawyer's letter, nor is it suing in court."

"It is telling a story."

"The tragic story of a genius designer being jointly betrayed by a shameless ex-husband and a greedy partner, having all her hard work stolen, being falsely accused, burdened with massive debt, and raising her daughter alone."

Li Jing's breathing grew rapid.

"This... isn't this just playing the victim?"

"The public doesn't need the truth; they only need emotion."

Shen Yan's tone was chillingly devoid of warmth.

"I will have the best PR team in Hong Kong City handle this. They will package your story into the headline that will explode social media this year. We must make everyone know that you are not the perpetrator, but the victim."

"We will nail 'Brilliant Era' onto the pillory of ruthless capital."

Then, his pen moved to the words 'Chain of Evidence'.

"Public opinion is just a smokescreen; the truly fatal blow is this."

"If you don't have enough evidence, we will manufacture it."

"That Sun Miao—since he loves money, I will give him a chance to strike it rich."

A cold arc curved on Shen Yan's lips.

"I will arrange for an 'overseas investor' to approach him, tell him we highly admire his 'design talent,' and are willing to buy out all his future designs for an astronomical price, even helping him establish a brand-new personal brand overseas."

"What do you think he will do when faced with such temptation?"

Li Jing's pupils slowly widened.

She seemed to understand something.

"He... he might, in order to prove his worth, reveal more designs that don't belong to him..."

"More than that," Shen Yan interrupted her.

"Under the influence of wine, vanity, and money, people always end up speaking some truths. For instance, personally admitting the true origin of those designs."

"And those words will all be recorded."

Li Jing felt a chill run down her spine.

This man's mind was terrifyingly meticulous.

He wasn't helping her fight a lawsuit.

He was setting a trap, an inescapable net, causing her enemies to walk right into it, leading to eternal damnation.

"Finally," Shen Yan's pen landed on 'Legal Weapon'.

"When public opinion ferments to its peak, and we have obtained Sun Miao's fatal confession."

"My team of lawyers will officially make their entrance."

He pressed a button on the table, and the conference room screen lit up.

A law firm's logo appeared on it—Black Shield Law Firm.

Along with the profile of the chief lawyer.

Jin Feifan.

The track record column was densely packed with the logos of major well-known corporations.

And the litigation result showed only two words.

Total Victory.

"Attorney Jin will take your case. He will not only clear all your defamation and reclaim the copyrights."

"He will also represent you in filing a counterclaim against Gao Jun, Sun Miao, and 'Brilliant Era'."

"The demand for compensation will be ten times their illegal profits, plus a public apology of the highest standard."

"I want them not only to be ruined but also to go bankrupt."

The conference room fell into a dead silence.

Li Jing stared blankly at the man named Jin Feifan, then looked at the shocking plan on the whiteboard.

Her mind went blank.

She had originally thought this was just a difficult rights defense.

She never expected that, in Shen Yan's words, it had become a war.

A comprehensive, no-holds-barred, crushing war.

Shen Yan walked back to the table and pushed the contract she had looked at that morning back in front of her.

Beside it lay a Montblanc fountain pen.

"Now, do you still think ten years is a long time?"

His voice was light, yet it struck Li Jing's heart like a heavy hammer, blow after blow.

Li Jing looked at the contract before her.

She knew that signing this would grant her more than just a job or a chance for revenge.

It was a ticket into a brand-new world.

A powerful, cold, yet fatally alluring world dominated by the man before her.

She hesitated no longer.

She picked up the pen and uncapped it.

The nib left her name on the paper.

Li Jing.

As the nib touched down, the name was neat, imbued with the resolve of burning one's bridges.

Shen Yan gathered the contract and placed it into a folder nearby.

His movements were unhurried.

"Good," he said.

He looked at Li Jing, his tone flat.

"Your next work location will be Hong Kong City. A brand-new entity has already been established there, and your office is being prepared."

"This means you will have less time to spend with Anqi."

Li Jing's body stiffened slightly.

This was something she hadn't anticipated.

But she quickly nodded.

"I understand."

To reclaim everything that belonged to her, to give Anqi a better future, temporary separation was a necessary price to pay.

"That's all for today," Shen Yan stood up.

"Go back and spend more time with your child."

This statement carried no discernible concern; it sounded more like a procedural instruction.

Li Jing also stood up and bowed to him.

"Thank you, CEO Shen."

"You don't need to thank me."
