636: Chapter 631 You Can't Handle It

In Shen Yan's office, he handed Chen Guangke a list.

"These are the three most influential bosses among those hundred-plus suppliers. Ask them out and tell them I plan to use one hundred million to buy out all the bad debts they hold."

One hundred million.

The total amount of those bad debts was nearly three hundred million.

This meant they would only recover about thirty percent of the money owed.

"Will they agree?" Chen Guangke was a little worried. "This discount is too steep."

"They will."

Shen Yan explained.

"For them, this is dead debt that has been sunk for ten years. Being able to recover thirty percent in cash is like pie falling from the sky."

"People's psychology is strange. If you negotiate with them one by one, they will haggle with you, thinking they can get more. But if you gather them together and create a sense of urgency—'once this village is gone, there won't be another shop'—they will compromise with each other just to get the money as quickly as possible."

"Once you lock down those three leaders, the rest will be a herd effect."

"Remember, your stance must be high, and the deadline must be absolute. Tell them I'm only giving them three days. Those who sign the agreement within three days get the money and leave. After three days, my offer is void."

Chen Guangke accepted the order and left.

The process was almost exactly as Shen Yan had predicted.

At first, the suppliers were all indignant, clamoring for full repayment.

But when Chen Guangke slammed a signed transfer agreement from those three 'leaders' onto the table, and stated that Xinghe Technology's cash was fully available for immediate transfer, the crowd began to waver.

Ten years.

They had been dragged down by this bad debt for a full decade.

Now, tangible cash was placed before them.

Take it, or not take it?

The first person signed.

Immediately following were the second and the third.

Panic signing began.

In less than two days, all one hundred and seventeen debt transfer agreements were settled.

Jingluo Bay, legally speaking, now belonged entirely to the Shen family.

And at this moment, only the last and hardest nail remained.

Qin Wuwei.

In the West District of T City, at the Old Captain Teahouse.

This was Qin Wuwei's territory.

The entire teahouse had been booked by his subordinates; they were all muscular and had unfriendly eyes.

Shen Yan, bringing only Chen Guangke, walked in openly.

Qin Wuwei sat in the main seat, his bald head gleaming under the light. The dragon tattoo crossing his shoulder seemed to come alive with his breathing.

He did not stand up, merely indicated the seat opposite him with his chin.

"CEO Shen, young and promising."

Qin Wuwei's voice was coarse and hoarse, like grinding against gravel.

"Jingluo Bay is such a massive project. You settled the Bank and those beggars in just a few days. Your methods are quite something."

"Boss Qin flatters me."

Shen Yan sat down and poured himself a cup of tea.

"I came today hoping to make a friend out of Boss Qin."

"A friend?"

Qin Wuwei laughed, revealing a mouthful of teeth stained yellow by smoke.

"In T City, anyone who wants to be friends with me, Qin Wuwei, must show some sincerity."

"This land in Jingluo Bay is mine now. I can give you one week to move your things out of the area. Additionally, this card contains twenty million, considered a service fee for Boss Qin."

Shen Yan gently pushed a Bank card over.

Courtesy before force.

This was the last chance he was offering Qin Wuwei.

The air in the teahouse instantly solidified.

Qin Wuwei's subordinates’ eyes grew fiercer.

Qin Wuwei stared at the card, the smile on his face slowly vanishing.

He extended a thick finger and pushed the card aside.

"Twenty million?"

"CEO Shen, are you trying to send away a beggar?"

He leaned forward, and a fierce aura rushed toward Shen Yan.

"I don't want money."

"I want shares."

"Whatever you do with the Jingluo Bay project, I want thirty percent of the sweat equity. Otherwise, don't even think about driving a single pile into your construction site. For every one of your workers, I'll make sure they end up in the hospital every day."

An undisguised threat.

Chen Guangke's hand had already reached behind his waist.

Shen Yan, however, raised his hand and pressed it down.

He looked at Qin Wuwei, his expression unchanged.

"Boss Qin, shares are impossible."

"I'll give you another option. Fifty million, and by the end of today, all your men and belongings must withdraw from Jingluo Bay."

"It seems CEO Shen didn't understand what I said."

Qin Wuwei leaned back in his chair, picked up the cigar cutter on the table, and slowly clipped a cigar.

"In T City, what I, Qin Wuwei, say is the rule."

"Young man, the water is too deep; you cannot control it."

"I'll give you three days to consider. After three days, I either see the contract transferring thirty percent of the shares, or you wait to collect the bodies of your men."

After speaking, he stopped looking at Shen Yan and lowered his head to light the cigar.

Shen Yan stood up.

"Three days are unnecessary."

He looked at Qin Wuwei, his tone calm but carrying a bone-chilling coldness.

"You chose your own path."

With that, he took Chen Guangke and turned to leave the teahouse.

Watching the two figures depart, one of Qin Wuwei's subordinates leaned in.

"Boss, you're just letting them go like that? Should we..."

He made a throat-slitting gesture.

Qin Wuwei exhaled a thick plume of smoke and sneered:

"Why the rush?"

"He will come back."

"A young brat thinks he can run roughshod over T City just because he has a few stinking coins? I need to let him know who calls the shots here!"

However, he would never live to see Shen Yan return.

Outside the teahouse, Chen Guangke's face was ashen.

"Shen Yan, this guy refused a toast only to drink a forfeit! Should I call some backup...?"

"No need."

Shen Yan interrupted him.

"Using gang methods against this type of person is too dirty and too slow."

He took out his phone and dialed a number.

"Wu Ya."

"Boss, what are your orders?"

Wu Ya's capable voice came from the other end of the line.

"I'm giving you a name: Qin Wuwei."

"I need all his unclean records, the more detailed the better. Especially anything related to Jingluo Bay."

There was a few seconds of silence from Wu Ya's end.

"Boss, this person's background is very deep. Forcibly invading his network might carry risks."

"I don't care what method you use."

Shen Yan's tone was unquestionable.

"I only want results."

"Understood."

After hanging up, Shen Yan's vision was once again occupied by the light blue interface in his mind.

["Major obstacle detected for Host. Do you wish to consume two pieces of advanced wealth intelligence to exchange for relevant high-level intelligence?"]

"Exchange," Shen Yan silently commanded in his mind.

["High-level intelligence exchange successful."]

["Intelligence Details: Qin Wuwei is utilizing the underground Level Three Parking Lot C area of Jingluo Bay as the core warehouse for his smuggling ring, concealing all smuggled electronics, rare furs, and some unregistered firearms from the past three years. The transaction ledger (electronic version) with the overseas smuggling leader 'Rattlesnake' is stored in a safe inside Storage Unit 37 in Area C, within an encrypted laptop."]
