They asked Shen Yan, "What's wrong? Didn't it pass? Do you need us to go over and make revisions?"

Shen Yan frowned deeply, shook his head with a dark face, and said, "He said our software has problems. Not only will they not pay us the final balance, but they also want us to return the down payment."

Hearing this, Chen Guangke jumped up from his chair with a whoosh.

"How could our software possibly have problems?"

"Yes! It's here!"

Shen Yan walked over and re-checked the software's data and operation.

He turned back and said to Wu Ya and Chen Guangke, "You two check again. I'm going to Hengtian Company to ask Old Bai for the detailed situation."

Wu Ya and Chen Guangke nodded repeatedly.

Shen Yan didn't delay any further and headed straight from the studio to Hengtian Company.

"Hello, I'd like to see President Bai."

The receptionist politely said, "I'm sorry, President Bai is currently in a meeting and is not available to see visitors. Perhaps you could come back tomorrow."

Shen Yan took out his phone and called Old Bai, but after dialing for a long time, there was no answer.

"He's in a meeting right now, is that right? Fine, then I'll just sit here and wait for his meeting to end."

With that, he casually found a sofa and sat down.

The receptionist didn't bother him and continued with her own tasks.

Half an hour later, Shen Yan saw a familiar figure at the company entrance.

Bai Yu?

He rubbed his eyes, confirming that the person he saw was indeed Bai Yu.

Why was Bai Yu here?

He saw the other person, and the other person saw him too.

"President Shen? What are you doing here?"

Shen Yan raised an eyebrow, put on a fake smile, and replied, "I came to find Old Bai. What brings you here?"

Bai Yu smiled and replied, "President Bai told me your software had issues and asked us to come over to cooperate... Oops, am I being too direct?"

Shen Yan replied with a forced, insincere smile.

"Not at all. I also came here to ask Old Bai exactly what went wrong with our software."

Bai Yu nodded, his smile masking his true intent.

"I hope President Shen can get an answer soon."

"Alright, I won't chat anymore. President Bai is still upstairs waiting for me to start the meeting."

After saying that, he turned and walked toward the elevator.

Only when his figure completely disappeared into the elevator did Shen Yan drop the smile from his face.

This Bai Yu was a smiling tiger.

He hadn't said anything overtly provocative on the surface, but he had been constantly challenging him.

Old Bai was willing to meet and have a meeting with Bai Yu but kept avoiding him, which clearly showed he didn't want to talk to him anymore.

Since that was the case, he would go find Sun Yang!

He truly didn't believe he couldn't handle this Old Bai!

He walked to the reception desk and told the receptionist, "Please help me schedule a meeting with Sun Yang, Chairman Sun."

The receptionist nodded and picked up the phone to call Sun Yang's secretary.

After a while, she said to Shen Yan, "I'm sorry, our Chairman Sun is not in his office right now. How about you come back tomorrow to see him?"

Shen Yan asked, "What time tomorrow?"

The receptionist replied, "After two-thirty tomorrow afternoon."

Having obtained a definite time, Shen Yan nodded and left Hengtian Company.

Back at the studio, as soon as Wu Ya and Chen Guangke saw him, they rushed over to ask, "How did it go? What did that Old Bai say?"

Shen Yan told them what had happened at Hengtian Company.

"Damn it! He won't even meet us?"

"No, I'm going to sue them for intentional breach of contract!"

Seeing that Chen Guangke's temper was still so explosive, Shen Yan stood up and patted his shoulder, "Don't be rash. We don't only have this one path to take."

"I've scheduled a meeting with Sun Yang for tomorrow. If there's any misunderstanding, we'll clear it up face-to-face."

Seeing that Shen Yan had already arranged everything, Chen Guangke said no more.

The next day at three in the afternoon, the three of them arrived at Hengtian Company together.

As soon as the receptionist saw them, she led them into Sun Yang's office.

"Bringing so many people along?"

Hearing Sun Yang's question, Shen Yan smiled and explained, "Old Bai said our software has issues. These two are responsible for the software's data and operation, and I wanted them to take a look."

Sun Yang put down the documents in his hand, walked outside, and called for his secretary.

"You go and summon Old Bai to the conference room."

The secretary complied and led them to an empty conference room.

Not long after, Old Bai came in leading Bai Yu.

"Chairman Sun... Oh, you guys are here too?"

Shen Yan stood up and said, "Yes, we came because we want to see exactly what problem our software has."

Old Bai didn't speak, looking towards Sun Yang.

Only after Sun Yang nodded slightly did he reply to Shen Yan, "The Technology Department people said your software has a major bug and is completely unusable."

Chen Guangke slammed the documents down with a 'pa' sound, stood up, and shouted, "Impossible! We checked it before coming over. The software's data and operation have absolutely no problems!"

"Tch!" Old Bai raised a slight, disdainful smile. "What? Are you trying to question the capability of our company's Technology Department?"

"It's one thing if you guys can't cut it, but you dare to question our company's Technology Department? Do you think they're just freeloaders like you?"

Wu Ya couldn't hold back either. She glared at Old Bai and said, "Please speak with respect. We are your partners, not your subordinates!"

Old Bai didn't feel he had said anything wrong.

In his eyes, Shen Yan and the others were insignificant small fries who couldn't amount to anything.

"Whether you are subordinates or not is another matter, but the fact that your software has problems is your business."

"Sir, you haven't forgotten what you said when we first agreed to cooperate, have you?"

Shen Yan chuckled lightly and returned to his seat.

"Of course, I remember. If our software doesn't pass inspection, I will return all the down payments."

Chen Guangke anxiously tugged at Shen Yan, but Shen Yan gently moved his hand away and continued, "However, you say our software has problems—where is the evidence?"

"Without proof, why should we believe you?"

Old Bai rolled his eyes dramatically. "I knew cooperating with small studios like yours was troublesome. Chairman Sun, next time let's not bother, just find some despicable people who can't even measure up!"

Chen Guangke was furious and picked up the documents as if to throw them at Old Bai, but fortunately, Wu Ya stopped him.
