654: Chapter 649 I'll Change the Name of the Entire Mountain to Yours

His opening remarks were very flat.

“Yesterday, Dr. Eva asked me a question.”

“She asked me what the ultimate goal of ‘icarus’ actually is.”

Hearing her name, Ava Chen withdrew her gaze from outside the window and looked calmly at Shen Yan, not showing the slightest surprise.

Leo, Marcus, and the others, however, were somewhat curious.

“I told her part of the answer.”

Shen Yan's voice wasn't loud, but it reached everyone's ears clearly.

“I told her that part of the chips produced by Plan B would be used to deal with Vance International, while the other part would be supplied to a team called ‘Daybreak’.”

“I told her that I wanted to use the perfect version of Plan A to manufacture a chip that this planet has never seen before.”

His words made Leo and the others widen their eyes.

This was already an extended version of the ‘Colosseum’ theory they had heard from Dr. Hoffmann yesterday.

This plan was crazy enough, and exciting enough.

But Shen Yan's words did not stop there.

“However, I didn't tell her everything.”

His gaze swept across the room, finally landing on Dr. Hoffmann.

“I established ‘Daybreak’ and used ‘icarus’ technology to manufacture chips not to fight for market share with Intewe, Sanxin, or Sirius Semiconductor.”

“That would be meaningless.”

Shen Yan's tone was very calm, yet it carried an unquestionable power.

“When our technology can crush them by more than two generations, so-called market competition becomes a joke.”

He paused for a moment, letting everyone digest the information in that sentence.

“What I want isn't to win more chips at the poker table.”

“What I want is to flip over this old poker table, and then I will set the rules for the new game.”

“From chip design software to manufacturing processes, to instruction sets, to operating systems, and the entire application ecosystem based on all of that.”

“A complete, closed, absolutely monopolistic industrial chain that belongs to us.”

“I want to carve out a new continent of our own on the map of silicon-based civilization. On this continent, I will be the sole legislator.”

Dead silence.

In the entire lounge, one could hear a pin drop.

Chen Guangke's mouth hung open, and the bag of food in his hand almost fell to the floor.

He knew Shen Yan had ambition, but he never knew that Shen Yan's ambition was such a terrifying ‘Genesis’!

This wasn't business.

This was war, subversion, and a change of dynasties in the field of technology!

The coffee cup in Leo's hand hung in mid-air, the steam from the coffee fogging his lenses.

The expression on Marcus's face changed from excitement to shock, and finally into a kind of fanatical worship.

This was what they wanted!

This was the stage where their talents could be displayed to the absolute limit!

Aegis Dynamics, Vance International—compared to this grand plan, they were like children playing house.

Dr. Hoffmann slowly took off his reading glasses.

He looked at Shen Yan, and in his cloudy eyes, an unprecedented brilliance burst forth.

In his life, he had seen too many geniuses and too many ambitious people.

But he had never seen anyone who could combine a genius's madness and an ambitious person's vision so perfectly.

This young man didn't want to be a king in the old world.

He wanted to create a new world with his own hands and then become the god of that world.

“So, everyone.”

Shen Yan's voice broke the dead silence.

“I'm saying all of this today because I want to tell you.”

“Every task you perform now, every formula you derive, every part you design, is no longer just a piece of scientific research.”

“You are laying the first cornerstone for the birth of this new world.”

“This is an unprecedented opportunity, and of course, it comes with unimaginable risks.”

“Now, I am giving the choice to you.”

“If anyone wants to withdraw, they can bring it up now. I guarantee they will receive a generous compensation far exceeding their contract, sign the highest non-disclosure agreement, and leave An Ran.”

He finished speaking.

He stood there calmly, waiting for judgment.

He had revealed all his cards, exposing his deepest desires nakedly before everyone.

One second.

Two seconds.

Three seconds.

No one spoke.

No one moved.

The first to react was Leo Garcia.

He gulped down the coffee that had been hanging in mid-air and then slammed the cup heavily onto the table.

“Damn it!”

He swore, his face flushed red with excitement.

“Legislator? I like that word!”

“Boss! The Plan B production line must be given to me! I want to turn it into a fully automated Dark Factory that makes so-called Industry 4.0 look like something from the Stone Age!”

“Me too!” Marcus slapped his thigh and roared, “How can the foundation of a new world be built with this current junk? Give me authorization! I want to buy the world's top machine tools and materials! If there's not enough money, I'll sell my old house in California!”

The atmosphere of the entire team was completely ignited at this moment.

They were no longer just scientists.

They were a group of madmen about to participate in the creation of a new world.

And Shen Yan was the one holding the pangu axe.

Amidst the noise, Shen Yan's gaze crossed the excited crowd and looked toward Ava Chen by the window.

Ava Chen was also looking at him.

A very faint, yet heartfelt smile played on her lips.

In her eyes, there was admiration, recognition, and a sense of ‘I knew you could do it’ understanding.

Shen Yan also smiled.

He silently mouthed two words to her.

“Thank you.”

Ava picked up the lemonade on the table and lightly toasted in his direction.

Sunlight streamed through the glass window, spilling over her and onto Shen Yan's face.

Warm and bright.

The clamor and fervor gradually settled in the lounge area.

Leo and Marcus had already rushed back to the lab with their arms around each other's shoulders, shouting about redesigning the Plan B production line, eager to produce a 3D model tonight.

Dr. Hoffmann gave Shen Yan a deep look, said nothing, and just silently turned to walk toward his independent office.

Shen Yan knew that this rigorous old man would respond to the invitation of ‘Genesis’ with the most perfect results.

Ava Chen nodded to him and left as well.

In the entire space, only Shen Yan and the still somewhat dazed Chen Guangke remained.

Chen Guangke placed the long-cold food on the table and let out a long breath.

“Yan Zi.”

He looked at Shen Yan with a complex expression.

“I used to think you just wanted to take back everything you lost and stand higher than everyone else.”

“Now I realize that you don't damn well want to stand on the mountain top at all.”

“You want to change the name of the entire mountain to your own.”
