615: Chapter 61: A Demo Full of Flaws

This was a situation where he had absolutely no right to flip the table!

The other party not only possessed technology capable of overturning his business, but also capital and connections he simply couldn't afford to offend.

His little bit of prestige as a vice president was nothing more than a joke in front of big shots like Shen Yan and Ning Ke.

Fine beads of cold sweat emerged on Qi Hao's forehead.

The look he gave Lin Shen was no longer filled with contempt and scrutiny.

It was replaced by deep apprehension, and a trace of... fear.

He finally understood that from the very beginning, he had no room to choose.

He took a deep breath, and a smile reappeared on his face, though it looked uglier than crying.

He slightly bowed toward Lin Shen.

"Mr. Lin... Mr. Lin."

"Please don't take offense at my rudeness just now."

"Regarding cooperation, we naturally welcome it! I will report to the Chairman immediately!"

"No, we will go together."

Lin Shen stood up, his gaze calmly passing over him to look out the window at the towering skyscraper of Qi Sheng Group.

"It's time for my brother and me to go home and take a look."

The skyscraper of Qi Sheng Group stood like a cold, sharp blade piercing the sky.

Qi Hao walked in front, his back stiff, his former arrogance completely gone.

Every step he took was heavy, as if he were walking toward his own seat of judgment.

Lin Shen and Lin Mo followed behind with steady paces.

Their composure formed a stark contrast to Qi Hao's dejection.

Entering the building, a dull atmosphere belonging to an old, powerful family washed over them.

The expensive pear blossom wood decorations, the thick wool carpets, and the solemn ancestor portraits on the walls silently declared the rules and majesty of the place.

All the Employees who passed by bowed respectfully to Qi Hao, then sized up the two unfamiliar young men behind him with curious yet guarded eyes.

The elevator ascended smoothly, reflecting the three faces, each lost in thought, on its mirror-like walls.

"Ding."

Lin Shen's phone vibrated almost imperceptibly.

He lowered his gaze to look; it was a message from Shen Yan, containing only two brief sentences.

【Do not discuss kinship, only discuss benefits.】

【Do not demand status, make them offer it actively.】

Lin Shen calmly put away his phone, and the last ripple in his heart settled into tranquility.

Mr. Shen seemed to have already foreseen everything they were about to face.

The door to the Chairman's office was as thick as a city gate.

Qi Hao took a deep breath and knocked.

"Come in."

A voice, aged yet full of vigor, came from inside.

Inside the office, there was none of the imagined luxury, only an almost oppressive antiquity.

The air was filled with the fragrance of top-grade Da Hong Pao tea.

An old man wearing a traditional Chinese tunic was sitting behind a massive rosewood desk, holding a writing brush and practicing calligraphy.

He didn't raise his head, only glancing at the three people entering with the corner of his eye.

This was the helmsman of the Qi family, Qi Zhenxiong.

"What is it? Why the rush?"

Qi Zhenxiong's voice was flat, yet carried an unquestionable pressure.

Qi Hao's waist involuntarily bent even lower.

"Uncle, I... I discovered a project of immense value to the company's logistics business, so I rushed here to report to you."

He deliberately emphasized the words "I discovered," trying to claim the credit for himself.

"Oh?"

Qi Zhenxiong finally put down his brush and raised his head, his cloudy yet sharp gaze falling upon Lin Shen and Lin Mo's faces for the first time.

That look was as if he were inspecting two pieces of merchandise.

"Just them?"

"Yes, these are the two developers of the 'Tianshu' system."

Qi Hao quickly introduced them, omitting their names.

Lin Shen didn't wait for Qi Hao to finish; he stepped forward.

"Chairman Qi, hello."

His voice wasn't loud, but it echoed clearly in the quiet office.

"What we have brought is not a project, but a solution."

"A solution that can add at least 150 million in net profit annually to Qi Sheng Logistics based on the current foundation."

He directly presented the core value without any unnecessary preamble.

Qi Zhenxiong's eyebrows twitched slightly.

He had seen too many young people—braggarts and the clueless were countless.

"Young man, you speak quite boldly."

He picked up his teacup, gently blew on the hot steam, and asked, "A hundred million in profit—do you know how many trucks need to run how many trips, and how many contracts need to be signed?"

"We don't need to know that,"

Lin Shen met his gaze and replied calmly, "We only need to know how to ensure every one of your trucks runs on the optimal route; how to ensure every one of your warehouses has zero redundancy."

"Just based on a demonstration program?"

"You can regard it as a demonstration program, or you can regard it as... the pledge of allegiance my brother and I are offering to the Qi family."

Lin Shen finally used the word 'brother'.

Qi Zhenxiong's hand holding the teacup paused in mid-air for a moment.

A complex, hard-to-discern light flashed in his cloudy eyes.

He certainly knew who these two were.

He had personally approved the monthly hush money of five hundred thousand.

The atmosphere in the office instantly became subtle.

Qi Hao, standing aside, was already sweating on his forehead.

He hadn't expected Lin Shen to dare to directly expose this relationship in front of Qi Zhenxiong.

"Pledge of allegiance?"

Qi Zhenxiong let out a cold laugh, put down his teacup, and his voice turned cold, "The doors of the Qi family are not open to just any stray cat or dog. Trying to negotiate terms based on a little bit of petty cleverness—you are still too naive."

He pressed a button on his desk.

"Have Director Li come over."

Qi Hao's heart sank.

Director Li, Li Weimin, was the director of the Technology Department at Qi Sheng Group, an old retainer who had followed Qi Zhenxiong for over twenty years. His technology might be outdated, but he was fiercely loyal and specialized in strangling any uncontrollable new technology in the cradle.

This meant he was about to cause trouble on the spot.

In less than five minutes, a middle-aged man wearing gold-rimmed glasses and with meticulously combed hair walked in.

This was Li Weimin.

"Chairman, you called for me."

"Take a look at what they've done,"

Qi Zhenxiong pointed at Lin Shen, "They claim this thing can help the company earn over a hundred million more every year."

Li Weimin pushed up his glasses, and a flash of disdain crossed his eyes behind the lenses.

He took the tablet handed over by Qi Hao and quickly scanned the 'Tianshu' demonstration program.

The more he looked, the more his brow furrowed.

It wasn't due to shock, but because he felt threatened.

The logic and efficiency displayed by this system were completely unattainable by his old, stagnant team.

If this thing were adopted, his position as Director of the Information Department would also be in jeopardy.

"I've seen enough."

Li Weimin placed the tablet on the desk, his tone carrying the arrogance of a professional.

"Chairman, forgive my bluntness. This demonstration is full of flaws."
