917: Chapter 912 Requires Brains

Shen Yan handed the sealed bag to Liu Xing.

Liu Xing pushed up his glasses, his eyes burning with a fanaticism as if he had just seen a naked beauty.

He took out a portable microscope and several test tubes from his bag.

"I scraped some residue from the cracks in the stone door at the entrance just now. If I'm not mistaken, this thing..."

Liu Xing's voice trembled.

He placed a sample on a slide and connected it to a tablet.

The image that appeared on the screen made everyone present gasp in shock.

The particles, which originally looked like dead matter, began to split and proliferate like cells upon encountering moisture in the air, then rapidly connected to form a dense net.

"This... this is impossible!"

Liu Xing shrieked, his voice echoing in the stone chamber.

"This thing is alive! It's self-reconstructing! It can recognize the molecular structure of inorganic matter and fill it in!"

"Boss! This isn't glue at all! This is 'liquid skin'!"

"If we can crack its gene sequence, forget about repairing cultural relics—it could even make a broken metal bearing grow back at the molecular level!"

Although An Ran didn't understand the technology, seeing Liu Xing's frenzied state, she knew Shen Yan had struck gold again.

"Once this thing comes out, the current industrial adhesive market will suffer massive losses."

An Ran calmly provided a commercial assessment.

"Not just adhesives."

Shen Yan looked at the sealed ceramic jar, his gaze profound.

"All precision manufacturing will be rewritten because of it."

"Let's go, we shouldn't linger here."

Shen Yan gave a decisive order.

Shortly after they walked out of the stone chamber, a muffled sound like thunder suddenly came from outside.

The ground began to vibrate slightly.

"Bad! The wind is picking up, the earth forest is going to collapse!"

Zaxi's voice came through the walkie-talkie, laced with terror.

"Run!"

Shen Yan grabbed Liu Xing, tightly clutching the box containing the ceramic jar to his chest.

The four of them ran back as if they were mad.

The moment they rushed out of the cave opening, the narrow passage behind them collapsed with a roar, and the dust instantly engulfed the mysterious entrance.

A secret thousands of years old closed its door to the world at the last second.

When they slid down the dirt slope, covered in dust, and returned to the vehicle, Zhang Debiao's group was frantically starting their cars, preparing to flee for their lives.

Seeing Shen Yan and the others emerge unharmed, and holding a silver box, Zhang Debiao's eyes nearly popped out.

"You... you really went in?"

Zhang Debiao shouted, ignoring the sand blowing into his mouth.

Shen Yan handed the box to Zaxi, who was already waiting by the car, telling him to place it carefully.

Then he turned around, brushed the dirt off himself, and looked at the disheveled Zhang Debiao.

"Zhang Bo, I forgot to tell you something just now."

Shen Yan's voice was steady, even after narrowly escaping death.

"Some things can't be found with instruments; they depend on the brain."

With that, Shen Yan pulled open the car door and slid into the George Patton.

Zhang Debiao froze on the spot, his face turning the color of pig liver.

He stared at the silver box, and his professional intuition told him that whatever was inside was definitely not simple.

"Shen Yan! What exactly did you find?!"

Zhang Debiao chased a few steps unwillingly.

The car window slowly rolled up, leaving Zhang Debiao only with a cold profile.

"Something that will change the world."

The George Patton roared, like a beast released from its cage, smashing through the sandstorm and speeding away, leaving only a cloud of exhaust for the group of explorers on the horizon amidst the swirling yellow sand.

Inside the vehicle, however, the atmosphere was exceptionally lively.

The thrill of surviving a disaster sent everyone's adrenaline soaring.

"That was f***ing exciting! I've never gambled my life like that before!"

Chen Guangke slumped onto the seat, laughing heartily while taking oxygen.

"Brother Yan, did you see the expressions on those bastards' faces? They looked like they'd eaten shit!"

Liu Xing hugged the box as if it were his own son, muttering chemical formulas to himself.

An Ran was using a satellite phone to contact the private jet waiting in Lhasa.

"Mr. Shen, everything is arranged at the airport. We take off in three hours."

"We can be back in Jinghai tonight."

Shen Yan leaned back against the seat and closed his eyes.

This trip was worth it.

He not only obtained the formula but, more importantly, he secured the key to the next era.

With Artificial Intelligence combined with this self-repairing biological material, Shenyan Group's 'titan' plan would no longer be just a smart brain.

It would possess an undying body.

"Liu Xing."

Shen Yan spoke with his eyes closed.

"When we get back, immediately establish the 'Kintsugi' laboratory. I want to see the first batch of samples within a month."

"I want to use it to properly patch up the broken commercial structure of Jinghai."

Liu Xing suddenly looked up, a sharp glint flashing across his glasses.

"Don't worry, Boss. As long as you give me enough equipment, I can make it spread to every industrial field like a virus!"

The vehicle left the earth forest, and the sunlight outside became dazzling again.

The distant snow-capped mountains shone with a golden light under the sun, as if bidding farewell to these mad fire-stealers.

Shen Yan opened his eyes and looked at the pure blue sky, untainted by any impurity.

Jinghai, I'm back.

This time, it wouldn't just be the wolves eyeing Shenyan Group who wouldn't be able to sleep.

The entire world should wake up.

Shen Yan tapped the armrest lightly, his rhythm cheerful.

He was even a little impatient to see the expressions on the faces of those so-called industry giants when they watched a shattered screen automatically heal itself in seconds.

That expression would surely be ten thousand times more wonderful than Zhang Debiao's just now.

"Guang Ke, when we get back, put some on your Transformer too."

Shen Yan suddenly smiled.

"Let it become a real 'living' Kong."

Chen Guangke paused, then burst into even louder laughter.

"That would be fantastic! Then I can drive my Transformer to pick up Youyou from school, and see who dares bully our daughter then!"

Laughter echoed across the vast plateau, and as the wheels rolled forward, they left the ancient Guge Kingdom, which had slept for a thousand years, far behind.

In the top-floor office of the Shenyan Building in downtown Jinghai City, the lights remained on all night.

The George Patton, covered in the yellow dust of the Ali wilderness, had just pulled into the underground garage when Shen Yan, without even changing his clothes, carried the silver briefcase directly into the core conference room.

The air purifiers hummed, attempting to dispel the dust and wildness carried back from the plateau by the few people.

Liu Xing clutched the box tightly like a food-guarding hamster, his eyes behind his glasses bloodshot but terrifyingly bright.

"Boss, this thing's activity begins to decay if exposed to normal temperature and pressure for more than three hours. We need a professional sterile, constant-temperature environment."
