665: Chapter 66 Failing to Recognize a Great Man

With every sentence Shen Yan spoke, Li Man's expression changed a bit more.

The brand representatives who were watching the excitement around them gradually replaced their sneers with shock.

They had all seen these concepts, to varying degrees, in some technology magazines.

But those were things confined to laboratories, still as distant as science fiction movies from commercial application.

"It sounds wonderful."

Li Man quickly regained her composure, her tone carrying a hint of mockery.

"But drawing a pie won't fill anyone's stomach. Mr. Shen, where are these technologies you speak of?"

"They are with me."

Shen Yan said nonchalantly.

He took out his phone and dialed a number.

"It's me."

"Notify the founder of 'Prism Technology,' Gao Xiang, that I agree to the acquisition."

"Fifty billion, all cash. I only want 100% of his company's shares, and the entire team must sign a ten-year commitment contract."

"Give him ten minutes to consider. After ten minutes, I expect to see the result."

The call ended.

The entire venue fell silent.

Prism Technology!

Every single person present knew this name like thunder.

It was the absolute unicorn in the domestic AR and holographic projection field, with technology leading its peers by at least five years.

Countless capital firms waved checks trying to invest, but they were all turned away by the eccentric founder, Gao Xiang.

Fifty billion? An all-cash acquisition? And a ten-year commitment contract?

Was this young man crazy, or was he acting?

For the first time, a look of doubt and uncertainty appeared in Li Man's eyes.

She stared fixedly at Shen Yan, trying to find even a trace of guilt on his face.

But there was none.

Shen Yan’s expression was as calm as if he were discussing the weather.

Wu Ya stood to the side, her heart pounding wildly.

She knew her boss was capable, but she never expected him to dare to play like this.

This was no longer a business negotiation.

This was using overwhelming strength to change the rules of the game table!

Time ticked by second by second.

Every second felt as long as a century.

The people around them dared not even breathe heavily.

Drip. Drip.

Finally, ten minutes were up.

Almost at the same moment, the phones of everyone present frantically chimed with news push notifications.

[Breaking News! Prism Technology announces acceptance of Shenyan Group's fifty-billion full acquisition. Founder Gao Xiang will lead the team to exclusively settle in Shen Yan Plaza to jointly create the world's first fully immersive holographic commercial complex!]

Boom!

The entire convention center seemed to have a bomb dropped into it, instantly erupting!

Everyone's gaze focused on the small booth in the corner.

Focused on the young man in casual attire with a calm expression.

It turned out he wasn't bragging!

It turned out the future he spoke of was truly in his hands!

Li Man looked at the news on her phone, the knuckles holding the phone turning slightly white from the force.

Her face no longer held the composure and arrogance she had before.

What replaced it was undisguised shock, and a hint of... regret.

She understood.

From the very beginning, Shen Yan never intended to compete with her, or anyone present, on the same level.

While they were still fighting tooth and nail over traditional factors like location and foot traffic.

He had already ascended to a higher technological dimension, launching a dimensional reduction strike against them!

He wasn't here to solicit tenants.

He was here to set the rules!

"Director Li."

Shen Yan's voice sounded again.

"Now, do you think the future of Shen Yan Plaza carries enough weight?"

Li Man's lips moved, but she couldn't utter a single word.

Her phone began ringing wildly at that moment.

The words "Group Headquarters" flashed on the screen.

She knew what this call was about.

She took a deep breath and answered the call with trembling fingers.

On the other end, she heard her superior's voice, unusually rushed and even carrying a hint of a roar.

"Li Man! I don't care what method you use! Immediately! Right now! Go to Shen Yan Plaza and secure the best location! The very best!"

"Our LVMH wants to be the first to seize this opportunity!"

After hanging up, when Li Man looked at Shen Yan again, her gaze had completely changed.

It was a reverence one shows when facing a behemoth.

She no longer dared to show the slightest disrespect. She quickly walked up to Shen Yan, bowed slightly, and adopted an extremely humble posture.

"Mr. Shen, it was my fault for failing to recognize your true stature. On behalf of the LVMH Group, we hope to secure priority entry rights for a core location in Shen Yan Plaza."

"All terms will be set by you."

The brand representatives nearby were all stunned to see this scene.

The dignified Li Man from LVMH was actually... bowing and pleading?

The next second, they all reacted and rushed towards the Shen Yan Plaza booth like they were going mad.

"Mr. Shen! We are Gucci!"

"Mr. Shen! We at Hermès also want to move in!"

"Mr. Shen! Cartier is willing to sign a ten-year long lease! With a twenty percent rent increase!"

The corner booth, which had been deserted moments ago, instantly became the center of the entire venue.

Wu Ya and her subordinates were so shocked by the sudden scene that they were flustered and unsure what to do.

Shen Yan simply patted Wu Ya's shoulder and told her calmly,

"It's alright, the rest is up to you now."

"Remember, they are the ones begging us now."

"Raise our standards. If they aren't top-tier luxury brands, they don't even qualify for negotiations."

Having said that, he turned around amidst the awestruck gazes of the crowd and calmly walked out of the commotion.

Leaving behind only a figure that everyone looked up to.

Wu Ya watched his retreating back, her eyes shining brightly.

She knew that from this day forward, the name "Shen Yan Plaza" would resonate throughout the entire commercial real estate circle of Country H.

And all of this was because of that man.

The noise of the convention center seemed to be cut off behind Shen Yan by an invisible wall.

He walked slowly out of the main entrance, and the dazzling sunlight fell upon him, yet brought no warmth.

His phone vibrated in his pocket; it was a message from Liu Hui.

["Are you done? Yu Yu and I are home stewing soup waiting for you."]

The lines on Shen Yan's face unconsciously softened.

He replied with "Be right there," then opened the car door and got in.

On the other side, in the corner booth, Wu Ya's battle had just begun.

"Ms. Wu, here is my card. I am the regional manager for Gucci!"

"Ms. Wu, look at Chanel. We are willing to show our utmost sincerity!"

"Make way, make way! We are Patek Philippe!"

Dozens of luxury brand representatives, who were usually very arrogant, now surrounded the small booth like frantic bargain hunters, blocking it completely.

Everyone held up their business cards, their eyes flashing with undisguised eagerness.

The two young subordinates next to Wu Ya had already turned pale with fright by the scene and didn't know what to do.

"Everyone, quiet!"

Wu Ya's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable penetrating force.

The chaotic crowd instantly paused slightly.
