He Yunri took the project proposal and glanced at it.

"This is quite well done. Did you do this alone, or did you work on it with your company's Employees?"

Shen Yan replied, "What difference does that make? We are all one unit."

He Yunri chuckled.

"That's true. Now, is there anything else you want to tell me?"

Shen Yan frowned, not understanding what He Yunri meant.

"What else could I possibly have to say to you?"

He Yunri set down his red wine glass.

"Don't you know that a major corporation is publicly soliciting bids right now?"

Shen Yan realized that He Yunri had been beating around the bush and was actually referring to that matter.

After a few seconds of silence, he told He Yunri his true thoughts.

"I don't think our company needs to compete for this opportunity. We already have projects in hand; there's absolutely no need to get distracted fighting for another project that hasn't even been finalized."

A look of interest appeared on He Yunri's face.

"Oh? How so?"

Shen Yan recounted everything he and Chen Guangke had analyzed to He Yunri.

"So, you mean you think the purpose of that company isn't to solicit project bids?"

Shen Yan nodded heavily.

At least in his view, that company's objective was not that simple.

Receiving confirmation, He Yunri burst out laughing.

As soon as he finished speaking, He Yunri asked curiously, "Aren't you going to ask me what problems that company is having?"

Shen Yan smiled, "If you wanted to say, you naturally would have told me proactively. If you don't want to say, asking is useless.'"

He Yunri nodded and poured Shen Yan a glass of red wine.

"Come, let's toast to my return from my business trip!"

Shen Yan refused.

"I drove here.'"

Shen Yan was at a loss between laughter and tears. "I really can't. My daughter is still at a friend's place. I have to pick her up soon.'"

He Yunri nodded, then asked, "Do you have a Nanny at home now?"

Just as Chen Guangke said, Youyou was already fast asleep on the master bed in the bedroom.

"Then I'll take Youyou and go. You sleep.'"

"The child finally fell asleep soundly, why are you taking her? Just let her sleep here!"
