617: Chapter 612 This is impossible

Lin Shen's heart stirred.

He stood up, not looking at Qi Feng, but at Qi Zhenxiong in the main seat.

"Chairman, members of the Board."

"We do not wish to discuss risks, because business itself is full of risks. We only wish to solve problems."

He brought up the projection.

On the screen, a logistics situation map of the South China region appeared.

In it, the blue arrows representing 'Sufeng Logistics' were aggressively encroaching upon the red areas representing 'Qi Sheng'.

"Last quarter, our market share in the South China region dropped by three percentage points. The direct profit loss exceeded thirty million. And the director responsible for this region is Director Qi Feng."

Qi Feng's face instantly turned ashen.

He hadn't expected the other party to expose his shortcomings in front of all the directors!

"This is just a temporary market fluctuation!" he argued weakly.

"Is that so?"

Lin Shen swiped his finger, and the simulation interface of the 'Tianshu' system appeared on the screen.

"According to the 'Tianshu' simulation, if we had optimized the main transport routes between Guang and Shen two weeks earlier, and re-planned the cargo distribution for five forward warehouses, we could not only have retained our original market share but even squeezed the survival space of 'Sufeng Logistics' in reverse, potentially increasing profits in the South China region by an additional eight points."

"Director Qi, do you think this is a temporary market fluctuation, or is it because our system has already fallen behind our competitors?"

Lin Shen's words were like a sharp knife, striking right at the vital point.

He did not attack Qi Feng personally, but used cold data to point out his dereliction of duty.

All the directors in the conference room fell silent.

Their gazes toward Qi Feng held a hint of scrutiny.

Their gazes toward the Lin brothers, however, became fervent.

Being able to solve problems and make money—that was what concerned them most.

As for what these two young men were named or where they came from, it seemed no longer that important.

Qi Zhenxiong watched all this, and a hint of a smile appeared on his aged face for the first time.

What he wanted was a catfish that could stir up stagnant water.

Now it seemed he had brought in two sharks.

The meeting finally passed the proposal for the establishment of the 'AI Strategy Department' and the data authorization unanimously.

After the meeting, Qi Feng stopped Lin Shen in the corridor.

"Don't think you've won," he lowered his voice, his eyes cold. "The water in the Qi family is deep. Be careful not to drown."

Lin Shen just gave him a calm look.

"Thank you for the reminder. But my brother and I have known how to swim since we were young."

With that, he took Lin Mo and left directly.

It was late at night.

Lin Shen stood before the floor-to-ceiling window on the forty-second floor, looking down at the myriad lights of the capital city.

He dialed Shen Yan's number.

"Mr. Shen, the first step is complete."

On the other end of the line, Shen Yan's calm voice came through.

"This is not the first step."

"This is just a warm-up."

"Remember, take whatever the Qi family gives you. But your roots must be outside the Qi family."

"I understand."

After hanging up, Lin Shen turned to look at Lin Mo, who was fully engrossed in data modeling.

He knew a larger storm was brewing.

And they, as chess pieces placed by Shen Yan, had already stirred the first ripple in the center of this game.

What they needed to do was continuously create value, making themselves indispensable.

Until one day, they would no longer be pawns, but people who could jointly determine the direction of the game with the player.

The turmoil of the city had not yet reached the Hemei Private Hospital.

Everything here was white and quiet, the air filled with the faint scent of disinfectant mixed with lilies.

Lin Huilan was carefully moved from the transport bed onto the hospital bed by a nurse.

This VIP ward resembled a suite in a five-star hotel, with a meticulously maintained lake view garden outside the window.

She looked out the window, her eyes somewhat dazed.

All of this felt like an unreal dream.

Shen Yan stood by the window, not looking at Lin Huilan, but quietly watching the ripples on the lake surface.

"Mr. Shen,"

Lin Huilan's voice was weak, but clear.

"Thank you."

Shen Yan turned around, pulled over a chair, and sat down, maintaining a safe distance from her.

"Ms. Lin, rest assured. We have the best genetic disease treatment team in the country here. Don't worry about the cost."

"That's not what I'm worried about," Lin Huilan's eyes held a mother's unique anxiety. "Xiao Shen and Xiao Mo... is it too dangerous for them to go to the Qi family?"

"Dangerous?" Shen Yan smiled faintly. "For wolves with claws, the sheepfold is the most dangerous place. Only by letting them out can they become true alpha wolves."

Lin Huilan fell silent.

She knew better than anyone how much of geniuses her two sons were, and she knew better than anyone how cold and ruthless the Qi family was.

"But I still don't understand," she finally asked the deepest doubt in her heart. "Why are you helping us? Just because they have talent?"

"Talent is the cheapest and most precious thing in this world."

Shen Yan's gaze seemed to penetrate the hospital room before him, seeing a much more distant place.

"I have seen too many talented people have their edges ground down and buried in the dirt."

"I don't like that."

His tone was flat, as if discussing a trivial matter unrelated to himself.

"I invest in genius, and I invest in the future. The Qi family is too old, deeply entrenched, and stagnant. It's time to let two young sharks go in and stir up that stagnant water."

Lin Huilan looked at the young man before her.

Although he was young, the composure and depth in him gave her an inexplicable sense of security.

"They... will be fine, right?"

"Whether they will be fine does not depend on me, nor does it depend on the Qi family."

Shen Yan stood up.

"It depends on how much value they can create for me, and for themselves."

"The greater the value, the safer they will be."

"You rest well. Leave the rest to them, and to me."

With that, Shen Yan turned and left without any lingering hesitation.

Lin Huilan watched his departing back, and after a long while, finally let out a long sigh.

She knew that her sons' fate had completely changed from the moment they met this man.

Meanwhile, on the forty-second floor of the Qi Sheng Group building.

The atmosphere in the 'AI Strategy Department' office was as oppressive as the sea before a storm.

Lin Mo's fingers turned into afterimages on the keyboard; on the screen, a waterfall of data flowed madly.

Lin Shen, standing beside him, had a grim expression.

On the huge display screen in front of them, the simulation curve of the 'Tianshu' system, contrary to expectations, drew a glaring, upward-climbing red line.

"The result is out,"

Lin Mo stopped his hands, his voice carrying a trace of fatigue and anger.

"The simulated cost has increased by three point two percent compared to before."

"This is impossible," Lin Shen frowned.
