939: Chapter 934 Looking for

Shen Yan held the old man's hand.

In his mind, the system's notification tone sounded pleasantly.

[Mission Complete: Redemption of the Noble Family.]

[Reward Obtained: Controlling Stake in Gaul Rare Earth Mining.]

[New Intelligence Fragment Detected...]

A slight smile touched the corner of Shen Yan's mouth.

This trip was a huge gain.

He glanced at Alice, who was still sobbing in her grandfather's arms, then turned and walked toward the exit.

"Guang Ke, let's go."

"Where to?"

"Back home."

"Leaving already? Not staying for a French dinner?"

"No more."

Shen Yan walked out of the bar; the rain outside had stopped.

A sliver of pale yellow light began to show on the horizon.

"Someone at home is waiting for me to cook."

"Besides..."

Shen Yan looked toward the East.

"With this batch of rare earths..."

"It's time to send off that so-called '6G Alliance' from the US."

Under the dome of the Jinghai City International Convention Center, a suffocating low pressure was surging.

The Global Communications Technology Summit was being held here.

It was less a summit and more a final ultimatum directed at China's technology sector.

The latest 6G base station promotional video from the US T&T Group was repeatedly playing on the massive LED screen.

The visuals were exquisite and filled with an oppressive aura.

Sitting below were the top leaders of China's leading technology companies.

President Ma of Yungoo Technology continuously wiped the sweat from his forehead.

Chairman Zhang of Xinghai Communications tightly clutched a crumpled mineral water bottle.

They were all waiting for one person.

Or rather, they were waiting for a verdict.

Although everyone knew the result was likely sealed three days ago by a ban from the US Department of Commerce.

Robert, the Asia-Pacific President of T&T Group, stood on the stage.

He wore a perfectly tailored dark blue suit.

His blond hair was meticulously combed.

He scanned the once-arrogant Eastern entrepreneurs below as if they were lambs awaiting slaughter.

Robert tapped the microphone.

The harsh static noise instantly silenced the entire venue.

"Gentlemen," his Chinese carried a stiff accent. "I regret to inform you..."

"Due to force majeure, the supply of RF chips originally scheduled for the China region next month will be postponed indefinitely."

The audience immediately erupted in an uproar.

This wasn't just a postponement; it was a cutoff.

It was placing a knife against the throat of everyone present.

Without RF chips, all 5G and 6G equipment was just scrap metal.

Robert was very satisfied with the reaction.

He shrugged.

A professional, fake smile plastered on his face.

"Of course, we at T&T Group highly value our partners."

"As long as you are willing to sign this 'Technology Sharing and Standards Mutual Recognition Agreement,' we might be able to apply for a special exemption from the Department of Commerce."

President Ma trembled with anger.

The so-called mutual recognition agreement was essentially handing over their core code and data.

This was forcing them to beg for scraps.

"Where is Shen Yan?"

Someone muttered quietly.

"Isn't the Deep Space System supposed to revolutionize the industry?"

"It's useless," the person next to him shook his head in despair.

"No matter how good Deep Space's software is, it has to run on hardware."

"This time, the US is determined to crush Shen Yan, and take us down with him."

Robert had clearly heard the discussion below.

He laughed contemptuously.

"As for that Mr. Shen Yan..."

"I imagine he is currently busy handling the liquidation assets of his bankrupt company."

"After all, without our underlying support, the so-called 'Deep Space' is nothing but a castle in the air."

"I also sympathize with him."

"But he should never have attempted to challenge the established rules."

At that moment, the main doors of the venue were violently pushed open.

The heavy solid wood door hit the wall with a dull thud.

A tall figure walked in against the light.

Shen Yan was still wearing the trench coat he had been rained on in Paris; its hem was slightly wrinkled, and his shoes were still covered in the unique mud of the Thirteenth District.

But as he walked in...

The air pressure in the entire venue seemed to drop several degrees instantly.

Chen Guangke followed closely behind him, carrying a briefcase in his left hand while adjusting his tie with his right.

Wu Ya hurried after them, holding a laptop.

Three people...

Yet they exuded the aura of an army.

"Mr. Robert seems very concerned about my financial situation."

Shen Yan's voice wasn't loud, but it carried clearly throughout the hall through the still-active microphone.

He walked straight toward the empty seat in the absolute center of the first row.

That seat was reserved for Deep Space Technology, and it was the most conspicuous seat in the room.

No one had dared to sit there earlier, because everyone thought it was the seat of a condemned prisoner.

Shen Yan sat down.

His posture was as relaxed as if he were in his own backyard garden.

The smile on Robert's face froze for a moment.

But he quickly regained his lofty arrogance.

"Mr. Shen, you are late."

"And judging by your appearance, it seems you just returned from some refugee camp?"

"What, did you go seeking help from God?"

A few scattered chuckles came from the audience.

These were from several brokers who had long since defected to the T&T Group.

Shen Yan ignored the mockery.

He took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket.

He was about to light one when...

The hostess beside him pointed hesitantly at the 'No Smoking' sign on the wall.

Shen Yan paused his movement and put the cigarette back.

"Sorry, it's a habit."

He looked up at Robert on the stage; his gaze was calm, so calm it was as if he were looking at a dead man.

"God is busy and has no time for such trivial matters."

"So I went to make a deal with the devil."

Robert frowned.

He disliked Shen Yan's cryptic demeanor.

He was clearly cornered, so why could he still be so composed?

"Mr. Shen, if you are here to play word games, then please leave."

"Our agreement is only open to sincere companies."

"A company like Deep Space, which is on the entity list, no longer has the qualification to sit here."

Shen Yan smiled.

He turned and nodded to Wu Ya behind him, who immediately connected her laptop to the venue's large screen.

The screen that had been playing the T&T Group promotional video instantly went black.

Then...

A line of striking red data popped up—it was a real-time monitoring map of the global rare earth supply chain.

"Mr. Robert, you are right."

Shen Yan leaned back in his chair, his fingers lightly tapping the armrest.

"Rules are indeed very important."

"But the people who set the rules have changed."

Robert glanced at the large screen, not understanding.

"What are you trying to say?"

"This is just an ordinary resource distribution map."

"Mr. Shen, are you planning to switch careers and become a miner?"

Shen Yan did not answer.

He simply uttered a few names of chemical elements calmly.

"Dysprosium, Dy."

"Terbium, Tb."

"These two heavy rare earth elements are the core additives for manufacturing high-performance Neodymium Iron Boron permanent magnets."

"They are also absolutely indispensable materials in the temperature control system of the 6G base stations that your T&T Group is so proud of."

Robert's expression shifted slightly. As an executive with a technical background, he certainly knew this, but he didn't understand why Shen Yan was bringing it up.
