699: Chapter 694 Naked Evidence of Crime

Boom!

That last sentence exploded in Zhou Qiming's mind like a heavy bombshell.

He completely gave up on thinking.

This man wasn't just making empty promises.

He possessed resources and power beyond his imagination.

By following him, his 'Walker' could truly stand up!

"I agree!" Zhou Qiming almost roared, his eyes instantly turning red.

"I don't want anything. As long as 'Walker' can move, my life is yours!"

The grievances, unwillingness, and despair he had suppressed for too long all turned into scalding tears at this moment.

A man in his thirties, over six feet tall, was now crying like a child.

Shen Yan didn't try to comfort him, simply waiting quietly for him to calm down.

He knew he had completely conquered the genius before him.

After a long while, Zhou Qiming wiped away his tears, his emotions stabilizing.

He looked at Shen Yan and said solemnly, "Mr. Shen, I'm willing to work with you. But I have one condition, or rather, a request."

"Speak."

"Before you invest, I hope you can do me a favor."

A flash of bone-deep hatred flickered in Zhou Qiming's eyes.

"I want someone to be utterly ruined."

"Oh?" Shen Yan grew interested. "Who?"

"Gao Jun. My university classmate and also the original co-founder of Qingtian Laboratory."

David Chen's heart stirred; he remembered the files mentioning that the betrayal of Qingtian Laboratory's core members referred to this person.

"What did he do?" Shen Yan asked.

"He stole an early version of my algorithm!" Zhou Qiming clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white from the force.

"Even though that version had many flaws, he used it to package a so-called 'Intelligent Balance System' and sold it to a Shenzhen tech company called 'Future Vanguard'."

"He used the money from selling the technology to become a shareholder and technical director of 'Future Vanguard', while I lost the trust of all investors because the core technology was leaked!"

"The most hateful part is that he turned around and slandered me, saying my full algorithm was a plagiarism of his concepts and that I was just a smooth-talking fraud!"

"The entire industry treats me like a joke."

Zhou Qiming's voice was filled with humiliation and anger.

"Mr. Shen, I can forgo the money and reduce my shares, but I must get back my innocence!"

"I want Gao Jun to admit in front of all the media that he is a shameless thief!"

This was a request concerning dignity.

It was also an ultimate test of Shen Yan's capabilities.

If Shen Yan were just a wealthy businessman, this would be very tricky, involving intellectual property disputes and lawsuits that could drag on forever without a guaranteed win.

David Chen also frowned, feeling this would be difficult to handle.

After listening, Shen Yan merely gave a faint smile.

He took out his phone and dialed a number.

"Ning Ke, it's me."

A shrewd male voice came from the other end. "President Shen, please give your orders."

Ning Ke was Shen Yan's networking hub in the business world, well-connected in both legal and illegal circles and highly informed.

"Help me investigate someone, Gao Jun. Also a company called 'Future Vanguard'."

"I want all their dirty laundry—the darker, the better. Send it to my email within an hour."

"Understood, President Shen. No problem."

Shen Yan hung up the phone; the entire process took less than thirty seconds.

He looked at the stunned Zhou Qiming and said calmly.

"In an hour, you will see what you want."

"As for a public apology?"

The corners of Shen Yan's mouth curled into an arc.

"That will be the most insignificant price he has to pay."

As Shen Yan's voice faded, a weird silence fell over the laboratory.

In the air, only the low hum of the old server fans remained.

Zhou Qiming stood like a statue, staring blankly at Shen Yan.

One hour?

To take down a person and a tech company with some repute in Shenzhen in just one hour?

Was this a businessman or a god?

Beside them, David Chen's heart was also racing.

Following Shen Yan, he had witnessed his rise from nothing to a comeback and thought he had grown used to Shen Yan's various miracles.

But today's scene still refreshed his understanding.

He knew about Ning Ke; he was a hidden piece Shen Yan had placed back in Hong Kong specifically to handle under-the-table information and connections.

But this efficiency was terrifying.

Shen Yan, however, acted as if he had done something trivial, casually pulling over a relatively clean office chair and sitting down.

He didn't look at Zhou Qiming again, instead turning his gaze toward the cold 'walker no. 1'.

"Dr. Zhou, tell me about its design concept."

Shen Yan's tone was very flat, as if that phone call had just been to order takeout.

Zhou Qiming's brain was still lagging, and he subconsciously began to explain.

"Its core is the 'Cerebellar Vestibular Simulation System', which captures posture data in real-time through 128 high-precision sensors..."

Time passed minute by minute during this Q&A.

David Chen stood to the side, watching these two men.

One asked questions nonchalantly, yet every sentence hit the mark.

One answered with increasing excitement, as if he had found his only soulmate.

He suddenly felt as if he were witnessing the beginning of a new era.

Ding-dong.

A soft sound broke the silence of the laboratory.

It was the notification sound from Shen Yan's phone.

Exactly fifty-eight minutes had passed.

Zhou Qiming's voice stopped abruptly, his breathing stalling.

David Chen also instantly tensed up.

Shen Yan picked up his phone, glanced at it, and then tapped his fingers a few times.

"Your email," he said to Zhou Qiming.

Zhou Qiming snapped out of it and scrambled to his dust-covered computer.

He was so excited that he even typed his password wrong once.

When the email interface finally refreshed, a new email from an unknown address sat quietly at the top of the inbox.

Sender: N.

Subject: [The stuff you wanted].

The attachment was an encrypted compressed file named 'Vanguard's Doomsday'.

Zhou Qiming's finger hovered over the mouse, trembling slightly.

He took a deep breath and clicked the attachment.

The extraction password was a string of numbers in the body of the email.

The moment the folder popped up, Zhou Qiming's eyes widened suddenly.

Inside wasn't just one file, but dozens of subfolders neatly organized into categories.

[Gao Jun's Personal Financial Loopholes]

[Recordings of Gao Jun's Improper Relationships with Multiple Future Vanguard Executives]

[Evidence Chain of Gao Jun's Embezzlement for Gambling]

[Record of Falsified Data in Future Vanguard's Series A Funding]

[Hush Money Agreement for User Injuries Caused by Early Bugs in the 'Intelligent Balance System' Project]

[Detailed Accounts of Future Vanguard's Tax Evasion]

...

Every single item was shocking.

Every document was enough to send Gao Jun and 'Future Vanguard' to hell.

This was no longer just business dirt; this was blatant evidence of crime.

Ning Ke hadn't just investigated; he had even organized the entire evidence chain so clearly that he had blocked off any path for a defense lawyer.
