110: Chapter 110 Even the receptionist is so beautiful.
At 3:30 PM, after the first period ended, Chen Fan arrived downstairs at the building where the counselor's office was located to wait for her.
The early autumn breeze carried a hint of chill, making the sycamore trees along the road rustle.
Chen Fan leaned against the flowerbed downstairs and glanced at his phone—3:32 PM.
Counselor Shen Na said 3:30, so she should be coming out soon.
Sure enough, before long, Counselor Shen Na's figure appeared at the entrance.
She had changed into a tracksuit: a white hoodie paired with black sweatpants, white sneakers on her feet, and a light gray baseball cap on her head with the brim pulled low.
Her ponytail was pulled through the opening at the back of the cap and hung down her back. She looked several years younger than usual; she didn't look like a counselor, but more like a junior or senior university student.
Chen Fan raised his hand and waved.
After Counselor Shen Na saw him, she walked quickly toward him, reached him, and looked him up and down.
"Let's go."
Chen Fan nodded and turned to walk toward the school gate. Counselor Shen Na followed beside him, and after a few steps, she asked:
"How are we getting there? Is there a direct bus? Or do we need to transfer?"
She usually took the bus or a taxi to the city center and was fairly familiar with the routes, but she had never been to the location of Chen Fan's company and was unsure.
Chen Fan didn't even look back, his tone casual: "No need for a bus, I drove here."
"Oh right, I completely forgot. You've already started a company, it's normal to have a car." Counselor Shen Na paused for a moment, then gave a self-deprecating laugh.
In her heart, Chen Fan was just a freshman who needed her to worry about roll calls, truancy, and academic performance.
She had forgotten that Chen Fan was already a company boss.
The two walked out of the school gate, crossed the pedestrian crossing, and arrived at the parking lot outside the school.
Counselor Shen Na followed behind Chen Fan, watching him weave left and right through the rows of parked cars.
Until Chen Fan stopped in front of a black Porsche and pressed the car key.
The lights flashed with a "beep."
Counselor Shen Na's footsteps halted, and her eyes widened instantly.
She looked at the car, then at Chen Fan, her mouth slightly open, failing to react for a moment.
A Porsche? Was she seeing this right? The black body gleamed with a low-key luster under the light, and the logo on the front was particularly striking even in the dim parking lot.
She knew Chen Fan's family background was decent and knew he had a car, but she never imagined it would be a Porsche.
This car must cost at least over a million, right? An eighteen or nineteen-year-old freshman driving a car worth over a million?
"Is this your car?" she asked, her voice carrying a hint of uncertainty.
Chen Fan nodded, opened the driver's door, and looked back at her: "Get in, Sister Na."
Counselor Shen Na was silent for two seconds before opening the passenger door and sitting inside.
The sound of the door closing was heavy. The interior was dark leather, the seats were well-bolstered, and the buttons on the center console were neatly arranged.
She fastened her seatbelt and scanned the interior, her gaze finally landing on the Porsche emblem on the steering wheel.
Despite Counselor Shen Na being Chen Fan's counselor and several years older than him, her monthly salary was only a few thousand yuan.
The best car she had ever driven was a friend's Audi A4.
She had only seen cars like Porsches on the road before; sitting inside one was a first.
And Chen Fan, an eighteen or nineteen-year-old student, could already drive such a luxury car.
For a moment, Counselor Shen Na's gaze toward Chen Fan was complex. There was surprise, doubt, and an indescribable sense of sentiment.
She opened her mouth, wanting to ask something, but felt it wasn't quite appropriate. In the end, she said nothing and turned her gaze out the window.
The car pulled out of the parking lot and merged into the main road. Counselor Shen Na leaned back against the seat, watching the street scenery flash past, her mind in a mess.
She remembered what she had said to Chen Fan in the office that morning—'You are trading a future worth hundreds of thousands for ten or twenty thousand a month.' Thinking about it now, that sentence was truly foolish enough.
Over twenty minutes later, the car stopped in the parking lot beneath the company building.
"Sister Na, we're here."
Chen Fan parked the car, pulled out the key, and pushed the door open to get out. Counselor Shen Na followed suit and looked up at the building in front of her.
Over twenty stories high, the glass curtain wall gleamed in the sunlight, and a sign reading 'Linkai International Building' stood at the entrance. She said nothing and followed Chen Fan into the building.
In the elevator, Counselor Shen Na watched the numbers jump, feeling curious in her mind about what Chen Fan's company actually looked like.
Do they make games? How many people are there? Is the office big? These questions swirled in her head, but she didn't ask, wanting to see for herself.
The elevator stopped on the fifteenth floor.
The doors opened to reveal a quiet corridor. The floor was covered in light gray carpet, a fire evacuation map hung on the wall, and the lights overhead hummed softly.
Chen Fan led her forward and stopped in front of a glass door, pulling an ID card from his pocket to swipe on the access control.
With a "beep," the door opened.
Directly facing the door was a reception desk with a light-colored marble top. Behind it was a white background wall with four characters hanging on it—'Fanyu Technology.'
The font was dark gray, simple, and unassuming.
Sitting at the reception was a beautiful girl, specifically the company's administrator, Qiao Linlin.
She was wearing a light blue shirt, her hair tied in a low ponytail, with small pearl earrings in her ears, looking down at her computer screen.
Hearing the door open, she immediately looked up. Seeing Chen Fan and Counselor Shen Na walk in, she stood up at once to greet them.
"Hello, Boss." Her voice was crisp and efficient, a smile on her face and her eyes curving.
Chen Fan nodded and didn't stop, simply giving a casual response: "Mm."
Qiao Linlin glanced at Counselor Shen Na beside Chen Fan, her gaze lingering on her for a moment—white hoodie, black sweatpants, baseball cap, ponytail. She didn't look like a client, nor did she look like someone here for an interview.
A flash of curiosity crossed her mind, but she showed nothing on her face and quickly sat back down.
Regarding who the boss brought over, she knew her place and wouldn't pry.
As Counselor Shen Na passed the reception, she couldn't help but take an extra look at the girl.
She looked to be in her early twenties, dressed appropriately with light makeup. Her eyes curved when she smiled, and she spoke with a balanced sense of confidence.
She then looked at Chen Fan's back, her expression becoming a bit subtle.
This company... even the receptionist is this good-looking?
