222: Chapter 222 Picking Up People

After Wang Jing finished speaking, she left.

A while later, the office door was pushed open, and Qiao Linlin walked in.

"Boss, the business license for the company you asked me to register has been issued, and the office has also been rented."

Hearing this, Chen Fan finally remembered the matter of asking Qiao Linlin to register a clothing company a few days ago.

He had assumed it would take quite a while to process, but he hadn't expected it to be finished in just a week.

"So fast?" Chen Fan took the documents Qiao Linlin handed him and flipped through them—the business license, tax registration certificate, and organization code certificate were all there, and the company name was written as "Chang'an Fanyu Clothing Co., Ltd."

"I hired an agency to expedite the process," Qiao Linlin said. "Do you want to go see the office?"

"No rush. Call Zhou Min over."

"Zhou Min?" Qiao Linlin paused for a moment. "Our HR? She manages HR for the game company; you want her to manage this clothing company too?"

"Let her handle it concurrently for now, just treat it as field work. Once enough staff are hired over there, she won't need to run back and forth. You, however, will have to do the running."

A trace of resentment flashed in Qiao Linlin's eyes. "Boss, are you using me like a pack animal?"

Chen Fan glanced at her and said nonchalantly, "Alright, stop complaining. Isn't your birthday coming up soon? I'll give you a big gift."

Qiao Linlin's eyes lit up, and that bit of resentment instantly vanished.

She took a few steps to Chen Fan's side, unceremoniously sat sideways on his lap, rested one hand on his shoulder, tilted her head to look at him, her eyes full of curiosity and anticipation.

"What big gift? Boss, give me a little hint." Her voice softened a bit, carrying a tone of coquettishness.

"You'll know when the time comes." Chen Fan leaned back against the chair, his tone indifferent, deliberately keeping her in suspense.

"Oh, you—" Qiao Linlin pouted, but she couldn't suppress the smile on her face.

She leaned in and gave his cheek a quick kiss. "Then I'll thank the boss in advance."

Chen Fan felt somewhat helpless at her action and reached out to pat her bottom. "Alright, we're in the office, don't mess around."

Qiao Linlin didn't linger, stood up with a giggle, straightened her skirt, and winked at him. "Then I'll go find Manager Zhou first."

Two minutes later, the office door was pushed open, and Qiao Linlin led Zhou Min in.

"General Manager Chen."

"Sit, Sister Zhou."

After Zhou Min sat down, Chen Fan said, "I've opened a new clothing company, and I'm short on staff right now."

Hearing Chen Fan say this, a trace of panic flashed in Zhou Min's eyes. "Boss, you aren't going to transfer me to the new company, are you?"

It was no wonder Zhou Min was panicked. The game company was currently on a great development trajectory, with the achievements of the two products "defend the carrot" and "happy elimination" clear for all to see, and everyone in the company was pushing hard to move forward.

As the HR manager, she had followed the company from its startup days until now, watching the game company expand from a few people to nearly a hundred, and its prospects could be said to be very promising.

If she were suddenly transferred to a newly opened clothing company with an uncertain future, wouldn't all her previous efforts be wasted?

What the situation of the new company was, how long it could survive, and to what extent it could develop were all unknowns. Who wouldn't panic in her shoes?

Seeing her nervous appearance, Chen Fan couldn't help but chuckle and waved his hand. "Sister Zhou, you misunderstood. I won't be transferring you over."

"Fanyu can't do without you here, so just stay here with peace of mind," Chen Fan said. "The clothing company will hire new HR, but in the early stages, I still need you to help with recruiting to get the structure set up. You don't need to work there."

Only then did Zhou Min completely relax, her expression changing from panic to relief, and then she smiled somewhat embarrassedly. "Boss, I... I overreacted just now."

"It's fine, it's only human nature." Chen Fan didn't mind, pulled a sheet of paper from the drawer, and pushed it in front of Zhou Min. "These are the positions that the clothing company needs to hire. Go back, take a look, and draw up a recruitment plan as soon as possible."

Zhou Min took the paper and scanned it from top to bottom—chief designer, assistant designer, pattern maker, sample garment worker, procurement, merchandiser, e-commerce operator, graphic designer, warehouse keeper... adding up to about a dozen people.

"Are these all for the clothing company?" Zhou Min looked up to confirm.

"Yes, hire according to this scale for now. Set the salary and benefits to be 10% above the industry average."

Zhou Min nodded, folded the paper, and put it in her bag. "Alright, I'll draft the recruitment requirements when I get back and strive to get the recruitment information posted within this week."

"Go ahead," Chen Fan said.

Sunday afternoon, a little past two o'clock, at the exit of Terminal 3 of Chang'an International Airport, crowds of people were coming and going.

A girl with a distinctly Xinjiang-style face pushed a suitcase out, accompanied by a middle-aged woman in her forties. The girl was Naza, wearing a light-colored floral dress, her long hair draped over her shoulders, and a pair of sunglasses on her face. Even though half her face was covered, it couldn't hide that natural, exotic beauty.

"Finally, we've arrived in Chang'an." Naza took off her sunglasses, took a deep breath, and a hint of excitement appeared on her face.

The air in Chang'an was much drier than in Beijing, but the sunlight was lovely, shining warmly on her. She looked up at the azure sky above the airport, and her mood brightened along with it.

The middle-aged woman next to her was carrying a handbag. She looked around and said, "Naza, didn't you say someone would come to pick us up? Where are they?"

Naza was also a bit unsure. She took her phone out of her pocket and checked it; there were no missed calls or new messages. She hesitated for a moment. "Someone is coming to pick us up, maybe they haven't arrived yet? I'll wait a little longer."

Just as she finished speaking, a burst of hurried yet steady footsteps came from behind.

A woman around thirty years old walked over quickly, followed by two young people, a man and a woman, who looked to be about twenty-seven or twenty-eight, dressed appropriately and looking sharp.

The woman walked up to Naza, her gaze pausing on her face for a moment with a professional appraisal, then she revealed a gentle smile and asked, "You must be Naza, right?"

Naza was slightly stunned, then nodded. "I am. You must be Sister Wang Jing, right?"

"Yes." Wang Jing nodded with a smile, turning her gaze to the middle-aged woman beside Naza, her tone becoming a bit more polite. "This must be your mother?"

Naza's mother nodded slightly, the expression on her face relaxing a little from the vigilance she had felt earlier.

She looked Wang Jing up and down; she was dressed appropriately, spoke logically, and had two people behind her. She really did look like she was from a legitimate company, not some unreliable, shady operation.

"Hello, Auntie. You've had a long journey." Wang Jing turned to the side and made a gesture of invitation. "The car is waiting outside. Let's go to the hotel to get settled first, and we'll host a welcome dinner for you tonight."

Seeing how thoughtful the other party was, the last trace of wariness on Naza's mother's face dissipated for the most part, and she nodded. "Thank you for the trouble."

"It's no trouble at all, it's only right," Wang Jing said with a smile, then looked at Naza. "Naza, are you tired from the trip?"

"I'm alright, I slept on the plane." Naza smiled, pursing her lips, and followed in Wang Jing's footsteps, dragging her suitcase.

The group of five walked toward the parking lot. Naza walked beside Wang Jing, and the slight anxiety in her heart slowly dissipated.

From the moment she received the call until now, the other party's arrangements had been very thoughtful—booking the plane tickets, confirming the itinerary, and coming to the airport to pick them up; everything had been arranged very properly.

It seemed that coming to Chang'an this time would not disappoint her.
