208: Chapter 207 Su Jingqiu

The factory's location wasn't exactly remote; it was right beside the main road of the industrial park, with plenty of passing traffic and convenient transportation.

Chen Fan parked the car at the entrance, turned off the engine, and took a look around through the car window.

The scale of the factory didn't look small; the area enclosed by the perimeter wall was at least several acres. However, the scene before him differed somewhat from the "garment factory" he had imagined.

He had assumed that Su Mian's family factory would at least be a decent enterprise, with a grand entrance, clean concrete roads, and tidy factory buildings.

This factory before him, no matter how he looked at it, resembled a small workshop on the verge of bankruptcy.

It was no wonder Su Mian said her family had a small factory.

At this moment, the door to the security booth beside them creaked open, and an elderly man in his sixties walked out and headed toward Chen Fan's car.

Chen Fan rolled down the window. The old man looked the Porsche up and down before looking at Chen Fan and asking, "Young man, who are you looking for?"

Before Chen Fan could answer, Su Mian poked her head out and smiled at the old man, her voice soft and gentle: "Grandpa Sun, this is my friend. He's here to see my mom."

As soon as the old man saw Su Mian, his expression turned kindly.

"Oh, it's Mianmian. Go on in then," Grandpa Sun said as he pushed open the large iron gate and motioned for Chen Fan to drive in.

Guided by Su Mian, the car drove up to a small three-story building and stopped.

As soon as the car came to a steady stop, Chen Fan opened the door and stepped out, followed by Su Mian and Chen Tong.

He didn't rush to close the car door, but instead walked to the back of the car, opened the trunk, and took out three exquisite gift bags.

These were gifts Chen Fan had specifically bought for Su Mian's elders. After all, he was visiting, and since he was also here to ask for advice, how could he come empty-handed?

There were three gifts: one was West Lake Longjing tea, costing over three thousand yuan per jin; one was a 15-year vintage Wuliangye, costing 2,800 yuan; and the last was a 3,000-yuan bird's nest gift box.

It added up to nearly 10,000 yuan, which could be considered quite sincere.

Just then, a woman walked out of the building.

She was about in her thirties and wearing a ladies' suit. Her features were bright and beautiful, bearing a slight resemblance to Su Mian.

Chen Fan guessed that this woman couldn't possibly be Su Mian's mother, but she looked a bit too young.

Just as Chen Fan was about to ask Su Mian who this person was, she immediately called out to the woman, "Mom."

Chen Fan then realized that the woman before him was indeed Su Mian's mother.

The woman smiled and responded, then looked at Chen Fan and Chen Tong beside Su Mian, "Mianmian, aren't you going to introduce your two friends to Mom?"

Su Mian nodded, first taking Chen Tong's hand, her tone light and cheerful: "Mom, this is my roommate, Chen Tong. We are in the same dorm, and we are very close."

Chen Tong, who had a sweet tongue, immediately smiled and called out, "Hello, Auntie. You are so beautiful; I just thought you were Su Mian's sister."

The woman was beaming with joy from the compliment and reached out to gently pat the back of Chen Tong's hand: "You child, you really know how to talk."

Su Mian then pointed to Chen Fan, paused, and her voice softened slightly: "This is Chen Tong's cousin, Chen Fan."

Chen Fan bowed slightly and greeted her with a smile, "Hello, Auntie. Sorry to bother you today. This is a small token of my appreciation." As he spoke, he handed over the gift bags in his hand.

Su Jingqiu took the gift bags and glanced down. The bags felt heavy, and the packaging was exquisite, not the kind of quality found in ordinary malls.

Although she wasn't an expert, she had been in business for many years and knew what was valuable and what wasn't.

Furthermore, while she didn't recognize the other two, she recognized the 15-year Wuliangye, which cost over two thousand yuan a bottle.

The other two items, being with the Wuliangye, certainly wouldn't be cheap either.

She looked up at Chen Fan, her brows slightly furrowed, and her tone carried a bit of reproach: "You child, just coming over is enough; why bring gifts? This must have cost quite a bit, right?"

Chen Fan smiled and waved his hand, "Aunt Su, it's just a small token, not worth much. I just hope you don't mind it."

Su Jingqiu certainly didn't believe the "not worth much" comment, but she didn't open them in front of him, just smiled and shook her head.

The woman looked him up and down, a hint of appreciation in her gaze, and the smile on her lips deepened, "By the way, Xiaofan? I heard from Mianmian that you have some questions about the garment industry you wanted to consult me about."

When she first heard from her daughter that her roommate's cousin wanted to get into the garment industry and wanted to ask for her advice, she was a bit skeptical.

A college student not even twenty years old—what kind of garment business could he do?

However, since her daughter had finally made a request, she had no choice but to agree.

But after seeing the car Chen Fan drove and the gifts he brought today, she didn't have many doubts left.

After all, Chen Fan's car was worth more than her entire garment factory.

Chen Fan nodded, his tone sincere, "Yes, Auntie. I want to do something related to garments, but I'm a complete layman and don't understand anything. I heard that your family has been in this industry for many years, so I wanted to come and ask for some advice and learn from your experience."

The woman smiled and waved her hand, "What 'advice' or not? My surname is Su, you can just call me Aunt Su. It sounds more intimate, and there's no need to be so formal."

Hearing the woman's words, Chen Fan felt a bit confused. Su Mian's surname was Su, her mother's surname was Su, so what about her father?

However, Chen Fan quickly pushed the confusion aside and called out to the woman, "Hello, Aunt Su."

Chen Tong also followed suit and sweetly called out, "Aunt Su."

Aunt Su smiled and nodded, turning to the side and making a gesture of invitation, "Let's go inside first; it's cold out here. We can sit down and chat slowly about whatever questions you have."

Chen Fan and the others followed Aunt Su into the office building, went up to the second floor, and arrived at her office.

The door was pushed open, and the interior looked quite different from what Chen Fan had imagined.

It wasn't large, and there were no luxurious furnishings.

There was an old-fashioned dark desk, with several stacks of documents and a computer piled on top.

Against the wall was a row of metal filing cabinets, with labels stuck on the cabinet doors, the handwriting already somewhat blurred.

In the corner sat a simple sofa with an old-fashioned velvet cover that had been washed until it was faded, but it was kept very clean.

On the windowsill, there were a few potted green plants with lush green leaves, which added a bit of vitality to this plain office.

Chen Fan had a sharp eye; as soon as he entered, he saw the business license hanging on the wall.

He glanced at the name of the legal representative on it—Su Jingqiu.

Chen Fan had a rough idea; Aunt Su's name must be this.
