278: Chapter 278 Continuing with what was left unfinished last time
Chen Fan didn't care about the gazes of the people around him. He scanned the classroom, found his seat, sat down, placed his pen on the desk, and waited for the teacher to distribute the exam papers.
After the teacher handed out the papers, Chen Fan began to solve the problems.
With the subject mastery provided by the system, the university exam content held no difficulty for him. He knew the answers to the multiple-choice questions at a glance, didn't need to think much for the fill-in-the-blank questions, and wrote the answers directly for the long-form questions.
In less than half an hour, he finished the entire paper.
He checked it once, confirmed there were no issues, looked up at the time, and it was just enough to meet the requirements for handing in the paper.
Chen Fan knew that if he waited until the end of the exam to hand in his paper, a crowd of people would surely surround him afterward to ask about his company's startup. To avoid trouble, he decided to hand in his paper early and leave.
He stood up, handed the paper to the podium, picked up his pen, and left the classroom. The exam hadn't ended yet, so the hallway was empty. He walked down the stairs and exited the teaching building.
At the school gate, some students were dragging suitcases as they walked out. Chen Fan didn't pay much attention and headed toward the parking lot.
As he was walking, Chen Fan saw a familiar figure. He stopped and called out, "Sister Na."
Counselor Shen Na was holding a folder and walking toward the office. Upon hearing Chen Fan's voice, her steps faltered, a flash of pleasant surprise appeared in her eyes, and she immediately walked over toward Chen Fan.
After approaching, she hid her joyful expression and asked in a feigned, indifferent tone, "Finished the exam?"
"Finished," Chen Fan said.
"How did it feel?"
"First place is secure."
"You're just bragging." Counselor Shen Na rolled her eyes at him, though the corners of her mouth curved slightly.
Chen Fan smiled and glanced at the folder she was holding in her arms: "Where are you going?"
"Delivering some documents to the Academic Affairs Office." Counselor Shen Na looked down at the folder in her arms, "I just finished organizing them, so I'm taking them over while I have some free time."
"How is your mother?"
"Nothing serious, she was discharged yesterday."
"That's good. By the way, Sister Na, are you free after work?"
"What for?" Counselor Shen Na looked at him with some vigilance.
"To continue what we left unfinished last time."
Counselor Shen Na was stunned for a moment, then immediately recalled what Chen Fan meant by "what we left unfinished last time." A flush instantly appeared on her face, spreading from her cheeks to her earlobes, and even her neck was stained with a light pink hue.
She lowered her voice, her tone filled with shy indignation: "Chen Fan, are you trying to die? Why are you saying such things in school?"
"Sister Na, what are you thinking about?" Chen Fan looked innocent. "I meant that we didn't drink enough last time, so let's continue drinking tonight." As he said this, Chen Fan suddenly realized, "Don't tell me you were thinking about that matter?"
Counselor Shen Na felt somewhat helpless due to his behavior. Who could have thought that the founder of Fanyu Company, who had become famous throughout the school these past few days, would be like this in private?
She glared at Chen Fan, said nothing, and turned to leave while holding the folder.
Seeing this, Chen Fan hurriedly said, "Sister Na, you haven't told me if you're free yet."
Counselor Shen Na paused her steps and said crossly, "We'll talk about it tonight," before leaving.
"Then I'll come to pick you up tonight," Chen Fan called out.
He checked his phone; it was past two in the afternoon.
There were still several hours until Counselor Shen Na got off work. Although counselors nominally get off at six, in reality, there are piles of miscellaneous tasks, and it would be good if she could leave by seven.
He decided to go back to the company first and come back when it was about time.
After returning to the company, he didn't go to his office but went straight to Zhang Tao's place to check the situation of defend the carrot and happy elimination.
The reason he checked these two was mainly because their download numbers had originally stabilized, but unexpectedly, they had started to grow these past few days, and not by a small margin.
He looked at Zhang Tao and asked, "Is it still growing?"
Zhang Tao nodded, his face showing some excitement: "It's growing. From yesterday to today, it's up by twenty percent, and the momentum hasn't slowed down."
"Have you found the reason?"
"It should be because of that interview of yours. Most of the new users are female, and they all say they downloaded it because of you, General Manager Chen."
"Because of me?" Chen Fan widened his eyes.
"Yes. General Manager Chen, you still don't realize your image in the hearts of those young girls. You're handsome, rich, and a 985 university student. When these conditions are added together, the attraction for them is too great."
Chen Fan was stunned. He hadn't expected this to be the reason; he had merely accepted an interview, and it had resulted in a huge surge in downloads for the two games.
"Then why is the growth for archangels sword relatively small?"
"Maybe girls aren't very interested in role-playing games," Zhang Tao said.
"It can be like that." Chen Fan felt somewhat helpless.
"General Manager Chen, I have a suggestion," Zhang Tao said, though there was a hint of a smile in his eyes.
"What suggestion?" Chen Fan asked.
Zhang Tao suppressed his laughter and continued, "Why don't you accept a few more interviews and show your face more? Maybe the download numbers will increase even more."
Chen Fan looked at Zhang Tao, not expecting that this guy looked honest and upright, but actually was full of bad ideas.
"Get lost." Chen Fan scolded him with a laugh.
"Alrighty." Zhang Tao laughed and turned back to his computer.
At seven in the evening, Chen Fan drove to the school.
This time he didn't drive the Range Rover, but the Porsche—after all, his classmates had already seen the Range Rover, but not many people knew about the Porsche.
If his classmates saw the counselor getting into his car, who knows what kind of gossip would spread. Although that gossip might soon become true, it was better to avoid unnecessary trouble.
He parked the car in a less conspicuous spot in the school parking lot and then sent a message to Counselor Shen Na.
After more than twenty minutes, Counselor Shen Na's figure appeared in his line of sight.
She had changed her clothes, and it was the same dress she wore last time, with nude-colored stockings on her legs, paired with a pair of brown high heels, which made her temperament appear somewhat pure.
She walked to the car, looked around as if to confirm there was no one nearby, and then opened the passenger door, bent down, and sat inside.
"Sister Na, why does it feel like you're acting like a thief?" Chen Fan watched her fasten her seatbelt, a hint of a smile on his lips.
Counselor Shen Na glared at him: "What do you know? If someone saw me getting into a student's car, what would people say?" After she finished speaking, she turned her head to look out the window again, as if confirming that no one had noticed her just now, and then sat up straight, placing her bag on her knees, "Let's go, don't just stop here."
Chen Fan didn't respond, started the car, and drove out of the parking lot.
He didn't drive fast, moving slowly along the road at the school gate. Once the car had completely left the school gate, Counselor Shen Na leaned back in her seat, as if she had finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Where are we going now?" Counselor Shen Na asked.
"Let's go to your place."
"To my place?" A flash of surprise crossed Counselor Shen Na's eyes, "Didn't you say we didn't finish drinking last time and wanted to continue?"
"That's right, we can drink at your place too."
Counselor Shen Na was silent for a few seconds: "Alright then, let's go."
