260: Chapter 260 Shooting an Advertisement

After the leaders left, Chen Fan gave the Fang Hongsheng a few instructions and left the company.

He drove to the photography base in the High-tech Zone. Having been here before to shoot the commercial for archangels sword, he was fairly familiar with the route.

Once his car was parked, he pushed open the studio door to find a bustling scene inside. High-reaching light stands and softboxes illuminated the central shooting area from various angles. A few staff members gathered behind the photographer, staring at the monitors, while a makeup artist stood nearby with her kit, ready to do touch-ups at any moment.

Naza was standing in front of a solid-colored backdrop, wearing a white Fanti slip dress. The hem of her dress fluttered gently in the breeze from a fan.

Her hair had been styled by a hair stylist into lazy, loose waves that cascaded over her shoulders. Her makeup was lighter than the last time they had met, but this only served to highlight her striking facial features.

Behind the viewfinder, the photographer gave directions, telling her to turn sideways, look up, face the camera, and let her hands hang naturally.

Li Nan was watching from the side. Seeing Chen Fan walk in, she approached and said in a lowered voice, "President Chen, they've been shooting for two hours and have gone through three outfits. The results look pretty good."

Chen Fan nodded. He didn't interrupt the shoot, choosing instead to stand quietly in a corner and watch.

During a break to change outfits, Naza spotted Chen Fan. Her eyes lit up, and she waved at him.

Chen Fan watched for a while before finding a chair to sit down.

After waiting for over half an hour, Naza finally finished shooting.

As the final set of photos was captured, the photographer looked up from behind the viewfinder, made an "OK" sign, and called out, "That's a wrap!"

Naza stepped away from the backdrop and walked over to Chen Fan.

"Brother Fan, have you been waiting long?"

"Not too long." Chen Fan stood up and looked at her. "Are you tired?"

"Not at all." Naza shook her head and smiled. After a pause, she added, "Well, maybe a little bit."

Li Nan walked over and said, "President Chen, if we rush the post-production, the photos will be ready by the day after tomorrow. It won't delay the launch."

Chen Fan nodded, then looked at Naza. "How did you two get here?"

"Sister Nan and I took a taxi," Naza said in a very natural tone, not finding anything unusual about it.

Li Nan quickly added from the side, "President Chen, we didn't have enough time to rent a car, so we just took a taxi."

Thinking Chen Fan was going to blame Li Nan, Naza also chimed in hastily, "Brother Fan, renting a car is too much trouble. I was the one who insisted on taking a taxi with Sister Nan."

Of course, Chen Fan had no intention of blaming Li Nan.

This time was different from when he first hired Naza for a commercial. Back then, they didn't have a foundation of trust, so he had to provide top-notch service—renting a Mercedes-Benz and booking a five-star hotel to keep up appearances.

Now, Fanti was a startup and hadn't begun turning a profit yet, so keeping everything simple was the best approach.

Saving money wherever possible and investing those savings into products and promotion was far more practical than spending it on car rentals.

"It's fine, I was just asking." Chen Fan waved his hand. "It's almost noon. Let me take you two out for lunch first."

Naza's eyes lit up. "Sure!"

Li Nan quickly waved her hands, sounding a bit embarrassed. "No need, President Chen. I can just grab a quick bite on my own."

These two, one handsome and one beautiful, clearly had an unusual relationship. How could she play the third wheel? She at least had that much situational awareness.

"Come on, Sister Nan," Naza said, walking over to link arms with Li Nan, her voice carrying a hint of playfulness. "Brother Fan is buying. It'd be a waste not to eat!"

Chen Fan admired Naza a little; she could get along with anyone. Last time it was Wang Jing, and this time it was Li Nan.

After having lunch, Chen Fan drove Li Nan back and dropped her off downstairs at the company.

Li Nan pushed the door open and got out. She glanced back at Naza and then at Chen Fan, her lips curving into a slight smile. "President Chen, I'll head up first," she said, before closing the car door and turning to walk into the building.

Naza leaned her head out of the passenger window and called out to Li Nan's retreating figure, "Bye, Sister Nan!" Li Nan turned back, waved, and kept walking, quickly disappearing behind the glass doors of the lobby.

Chen Fan restarted the car and glanced at Naza beside him. "Where to?"

"Anywhere," Naza said casually.

"How about we go wander around a shopping mall?"

"Sounds great!" Naza's eyes lit up instantly. As a girl, she was highly interested in shopping.

Seeing this, Chen Fan chuckled.

Turning the steering wheel, he steered the car onto the main road.

Half an hour later, the car parked in the garage of Chang'an's most upscale shopping mall.

After parking, the two took the elevator up to the first floor. Naza walked beside him, her eyes scanning the surroundings, sparkling with excitement.

After walking just a few steps, Chen Fan spotted a familiar logo. Looking closer, it turned out to be a Hermès boutique.

Chen Fan glanced at Naza beside him.

This girl, who was about to turn nineteen, wasn't even carrying a handbag. Thus, the idea of buying her one popped into Chen Fan's mind.

"Let's check out Hermès." Chen Fan gestured toward the boutique with his chin.

"Okay!" Naza replied, her tone filled with a hint of cheerfulness.

Seeing this, Chen Fan took her hand and led her toward the Hermès store.

Being led by him, Naza walked with light steps, her eyes full of smiles.

She was simply happy because Chen Fan was taking her shopping. As for what they were buying, it didn't matter.

As soon as they entered, a sales associate in a black business suit greeted them. With a warm smile, she glanced briefly at Chen Fan, then at Naza, and bowed slightly. "Welcome, sir, ma'am. How may I help you today?"

Chen Fan pointed at Naza. "Pick out a bag for her."

The sales associate turned to Naza and gestured for her to step forward.

Naza didn't act shy either. She walked over gracefully, scanned the glass display cases, and began to browse carefully.

She took a fancy to a white, minimalist style. It didn't have too many decorations and was just the right size, perfect for daily use.

The sales associate took the bag out. Naza took it, slung it over her shoulder, turned around in front of the mirror, and looked back at Chen Fan. "How about this one?"

Chen Fan glanced at the price tag—over ten thousand yuan.

He withdrew his gaze from Naza and said gently, "Let's get a better one."

Naza was taken aback. She looked down at the bag on her shoulder, then at the price tag, and blinked. "I was trying to save you money, but you're telling me to pick a more expensive one."

Chen Fan reached out and ruffled her hair. "No need to save me money. Pick a better one."

Naza squinted slightly as her hair was ruffled. Once he withdrew his hand, she pouted, then laughed, her eyes curving into crescent moons.

She took off the white bag, placed it back on the display counter, and turned to continue browsing.

After browsing for a while, she stopped in front of another white bag. She picked it up, slung it over her shoulder, looked at herself in the mirror for a long time, and then turned to Chen Fan.

"What about this one?"

Chen Fan glanced at the price tag—over fifty thousand yuan.

"Alright, wrap this one and the previous one up together," Chen Fan nodded.

The sales associate was stunned for a moment, and then an even brighter smile bloomed on her face. She quickly wrapped both bags, placed them into two orange gift boxes, and tied them with ribbons.

Chen Fan pulled out his card, swiped, and signed, completing the entire process in one smooth motion.
