246: Chapter 246 A Gift for Qiao Linlin

After hanging up the phone, Chen Fan remembered he still had something to take care of.

He picked up his phone and sent Qiao Linlin a message: "Come to my office."

Less than two minutes after the message was sent, the office door was pushed open.

Qiao Linlin walked in wearing high heels, her steps light and breezy.

"What's up, my dear boss?" Qiao Linlin spoke up the moment she walked in, her tone lazy and relaxed.

Chen Fan stood up from his chair and picked up the car keys on his desk. "Come out with me for a bit."

Qiao Linlin was taken aback for a moment. She blinked, didn't ask any questions, and turned to follow him out.

"Boss, where are we going?" Qiao Linlin asked, a bit curious.

"Just follow me, you'll know when we get there." Chen Fan pressed the elevator button.

The two took the elevator down to the basement level, got into Chen Fan's car, and drove out of the underground garage under Qiao Linlin's curious gaze.

Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of a BMW 4S dealership.

Through the car window, Qiao Linlin saw the blue-and-white circular logo. She froze for a moment, then turned to look at Chen Fan, her eyes filled with obvious surprise. "Boss, why did you bring me here?"

Chen Fan turned off the engine, pulled out the key, and glanced sideways at her. "Isn't today your birthday?"

"Yes," Qiao Linlin nodded, her face still wearing a blank, uncomprehending look. Then, as if she had suddenly remembered something, her eyes slowly widened.

She stared at Chen Fan. Her expression shifted from confusion to surprise, and then from surprise to sheer disbelief. Her mouth parted slightly, and her fingers unconsciously gripped her seatbelt tighter.

"Boss, you don't mean..." Her voice trailed off, her tone rising at the end, as if asking a question to which she already knew the answer.

"Yes." Chen Fan pushed open the car door and looked back at her. "Didn't I say before that I'd get you a big present for your birthday?"

A wave of immense joy flashed through Qiao Linlin's eyes, her gaze shifting from disbelief to something indescribable.

There was gratitude, surprise, and a touch of softness that she herself hadn't even realized.

The feeling of being remembered, cared for, and kept in someone's heart was like a warm current welling up from her chest, making her eyes sting.

She bit her lip and took a deep breath, forcing her emotions back down.

"Boss," her voice was much softer than usual, carrying a hint of hoarseness. "Aren't you being a bit too good to me?"

"What, would you prefer I treat you badly and kick you to the curb once I'm tired of you?"

"Boss—" Qiao Linlin said with a mix of coquettishness and annoyance. "Why do you have to put it so harshly?"

She had actually been quite touched, but Chen Fan's remark left her not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

Chen Fan ignored her and turned to walk toward the dealership entrance.

Qiao Linlin followed behind him, glaring at his back, but she couldn't help but smile as she quickened her pace to catch up.

Chen Fan ignored her and turned to walk toward the dealership entrance.

Qiao Linlin followed behind him, glaring at his back, but she couldn't help but smile as she quickened her pace to catch up.

Inside the dealership, the air conditioning was blasting, forming a sharp contrast with the muggy heat outside.

The showroom was spacious and bright, with polished marble floors that gleamed like mirrors. Several brand-new BMWs glinted with a metallic luster under the spotlights.

A faint fragrance drifted in the air—a very premium scent, neither too strong nor too subtle, just perfect.

From the reception desk, a female sales consultant wearing a black professional skirt suit and high heels immediately came over to greet them.

She wore delicate, light makeup, her hair was tied up meticulously, and a standard professional smile was plastered on her face as she swept her gaze over Chen Fan.

He was young, dressed in a seemingly casual but high-quality outfit, and the watch on his wrist was low-key yet striking.

A flash of delight crossed the saleswoman's eyes, and her steps unconsciously quickened.

However, when her gaze shifted to Chen Fan's side, she saw Qiao Linlin.

Today, Qiao Linlin was wearing a sharply tailored black dress with a very narrow waist, highlighting her exquisite curves.

She wore stiletto heels, standing nearly half a head taller than the saleswoman.

Her features were already beautiful, and because her emotions hadn't fully settled yet, her face carried a faint flush and her eyes shone brightly, exuding an innate confidence and radiance.

The saleswoman's gaze lingered on Qiao Linlin for a moment, her smile freezing slightly as a hint of self-deprecation flashed in her eyes.

She withdrew her gaze and looked back at Chen Fan. Her smile remained standard, but her tone became slightly more cautious.

"Hello, sir. Welcome. Which model are you interested in looking at today?"

Chen Fan didn't look at the saleswoman. Instead, he turned his head to look at Qiao Linlin, his gaze casual yet certain. "Which one do you like?"

Qiao Linlin froze, her eyes widening slightly and her eyelashes fluttering rapidly, as if she hadn't quite processed it.

She looked at Chen Fan, then at the rows of brand-new cars in the showroom, her fingers unconsciously tightening around the strap of her bag.

"I get to choose myself?" there was a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

Chen Fan nodded, his tone as casual as if he were discussing what to have for lunch. "Yes, pick it yourself. Whichever one you like, I'll buy it for you."

"Then I won't be polite." Her voice brightened as she turned and walked further into the showroom.

Qiao Linlin walked among the cars, her gaze sweeping from a red 3 Series to a white X1, and then from the X1 to the silver Z4 next to it.

She didn't walk fast. She would take a closer look at every car she passed, occasionally stopping to walk halfway around the body, leaning in to look at the interior, before shaking her head and continuing forward.

Finally, she stopped in front of a white BMW 318i.

The body wasn't large, with sleek lines and a kidney grille that gleamed with a subtle luster under the lights. Overall, it looked clean and sharp—not flashy, but very pleasing to the eye.

Standing beside the car, Qiao Linlin glanced back at Chen Fan. She tapped her fingers gently on the car door, her tone carrying a hint of testing and uncertainty. "Is this one okay?"

Chen Fan didn't answer. Instead, he looked at the female sales consultant who had been following them.

The saleswoman instantly understood. Taking a step forward, she opened the price list in her hand and spoke clearly, not too fast: "Sir, this is the 318i Leading Edition. It has a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is 246,000 yuan. We currently have in-store discounts, so the on-the-road price will be around 280,000 yuan."
