282: Chapter 282 Returning to Chang'an

Chen Fan continued to raise the price: "Two million."

Zhou Man felt a flicker of temptation in her heart.

Two million was four hundred thousand more than the value of her property. At the current rental rates, it would take eight years to earn that four hundred thousand.

But property prices might rise in eight years, and the value of this commercial shop might also go up with them.

But on second thought, would two million in eight years be comparable to two million now?

Prices were rising, money was depreciating, and two million in eight years might not even be worth 1.5 million today. Thinking of this, she hesitated for a moment.

Seeing that Zhou Man's resolve was wavering, Chen Fan struck while the iron was hot: "Two point one million, Sister Zhou, this is my final offer. If you still won't sell, then forget it, and I'll look elsewhere."

Hearing the figure "two point one million," the scales in Zhou Man's heart tipped completely.

She fell silent for a few seconds, then nodded. "Alright, I agree."

Chen Fan nodded. "Don't be in a hurry, I have one condition."

"What condition?" Zhou Man looked at him.

"I need the current tenant to move out as soon as possible. At least by the time the transfer procedures are completed, the shop must be empty."

Hearing this, Zhou Man thought for a moment and then nodded. "Alright, I'll talk to Liu Wei about this."

Chen Fan said, "Great, then it's settled. Let's see when we can sign the contract."

Zhou Man said, "Tomorrow. I'll bring the contract to meet you tomorrow."

Chen Fan said, "Sure."

Zhou Man glanced at him. "It's still early, let me treat you to a meal."

Chen Fan shook his head and declined.

Zhou Man said "Alright" with some regret, then stood up, walked over to the restaurant owner, and spoke a few words to him.

Liu Wei's expression gradually turned a bit unsightly, but in the end, he still nodded.

He had originally planned to slowly transfer the shop during this final month, and packaging the tables, chairs, freezers, stoves, and air conditioners in the shop could still fetch tens of thousands of yuan.

But if he had to move out early, he would have to find a way to dispose of these things as quickly as possible on his own.

Chen Fan didn't linger, turning around to push open the door and walk out.

...

In the blink of an eye, three days passed.

Over the past few days, Chen Fan had been constantly running to the county seat, busy with the shop transfer.

Fortunately, after all that effort, the contract was signed, the money was transferred, and the title transfer procedures were completed. He would be able to get the property ownership certificate in thirty working days.

The restaurant that originally occupied the shop had also mostly moved out. The tables, chairs, freezers, and stoves had all been cleared away, leaving only a few electrical wires in the corner that hadn't been dismantled in time and some marks on the floor where heavy items had pressed down. Once the entire space was emptied, it looked much more spacious than before.

This also meant that this commercial shop officially belonged to Chen Fan.

That afternoon, Chen Fan drove Chen Jianjun and Wang Mei to the county seat.

"Son, what are you taking us to see?" Wang Mei asked curiously.

During breakfast, Chen Fan had said he would take them to the county seat to see something, but whenever they asked what it was, he wouldn't say.

The curiosity of both of them was piqued, and they kept guessing all the way.

"We're almost there. You'll know when we arrive," Chen Fan said as he continued driving toward the shop's location.

Three minutes later, the car stopped in front of the shop. Chen Fan turned off the engine and pushed open the car door. "We're here. Get out of the car."

Chen Jianjun and Wang Mei exchanged a glance and got out of the car with puzzled expressions, following Chen Fan to the entrance of the commercial shop.

Wang Mei looked up at the storefront sign, then peered inside through the glass door. "Is this where the clothing store will be opened in the future?"

"Yes." Chen Fan took out the key to open the door and stepped aside. "Come in and have a look."

After they walked inside, Wang Mei looked around and couldn't help but ask, "It's so big, how much is the rent?"

"No rent needed, I bought it," Chen Fan said.

She withdrew her gaze and looked around the space again. "How much did it cost to buy this?"

"Two million."

"Two million?" A flash of surprise crossed Wang Mei's eyes, but she instantly regained her composure.

Her son was very capable now, and the companies he founded had revenues in the hundreds of millions, so what was buying a commercial shop?

However, she was still a bit worried. Her son was opening a store for them, and just buying this shop cost two million, plus the renovation would cost another two to three hundred thousand—all in all, that was 2.3 million.

How much money could she and Chen Jianjun make running this store? With such a large investment, what if they lost money?

Seeing his mother's expression, Chen Fan knew what she was worried about. "Mom, don't worry. Buying a commercial shop makes it a fixed asset. This kind of thing won't lose money, and there's a good chance its value will rise in the future."

Hearing Chen Fan's words, Wang Mei was finally reassured and said nothing more.

Chen Jianjun stood to the side, silent for a moment, and then spoke up, "Son, should you handle the renovation, or should I?"

"I'll do it," Chen Fan said. "I'll find a design company in Chang'an to design it first."

Chen Fan knew he had to find a design company in Chang'an because there were no proper designers in the county, and he wouldn't be satisfied with ordinary renovations.

Although this store was being opened for his parents, it was, after all, using the Fanti brand. The store style had to have a unified standard; if they wanted to develop offline stores in the future, this set of designs could be directly reused.

What he needed was not just a store put together haphazardly, but a replicable template.

Chen Jianjun smiled, his tone carrying a rare sense of ease. "Alright, then your mom and I will just sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor."

Chen Fan also smiled. "That's exactly what I want you to do."

Early the next morning, Chen Fan drove to Chang'an.

He arrived in Chang'an around eleven o'clock. After having lunch outside, Chen Fan went to Fanti without a moment's delay.

Everything was normal at Fanyu for now, and he didn't need to worry about it, so Chen Fan went straight to Fanti.

Upon arriving at the company, Chen Fan first checked yesterday's sales volume.

All styles combined sold over 2,300 pieces, with sales breaking through 300,000 yuan to reach 373,113 yuan.

However, as sales volume grew, the company's manpower was gradually unable to keep up. The customer service response speed was noticeably slower than before, and there were clearly not enough people for packaging and shipping.

Fortunately, the HR department was already rushing to recruit more people.

After checking the sales, Chen Fan immediately called the company's key personnel to the meeting room for a meeting.

In his past life, Chen Fan hated meetings when he was working.

But after becoming the boss himself, he realized that some meetings were absolutely necessary.

Once everyone had arrived, he got straight to the point: "First, let's address the first issue today. Because the company is currently developing quite rapidly, there is a relatively serious problem, which is that the company's structure is somewhat chaotic. Therefore—"

Chen Fan looked at everyone as he spoke. "In order for the company to operate healthily in the future, we need to adjust the current personnel structure."

Hearing this, the eyes of everyone present tensed up.

Some subconsciously sat up straighter, while others looked down and flipped through the notebooks in front of them, as if using that action to mask the tension that the sentence had brought to their attention.

Everyone was calculating the same question in their hearts—how would it be adjusted? Would their own positions be affected after the adjustment?

Even Li Nan was no exception. Although she was highly capable, she was still a young person under thirty, after all. Facing such matters concerning her own vital interests, it was difficult to remain completely calm.
