292: Chapter 292 A Bold Idea: Theme Park Plan

An hour later, the car arrived in Chang'an. Chen Fan took the two of them to a restaurant for a meal.

The restaurant wasn't crowded, the lighting was a warm yellow, and the dishes on the table were simple yet piping hot. The three of them finished their meal in quiet comfort.

After dinner, Chen Fan drove Chen Tong and Su Mian back to school.

Upon arriving at the school gate, the streetlights illuminated the steps brightly. Chen Tong got out of the car first, holding her bag as she stood waiting by the roadside. Su

Mian unbuckled her seatbelt, pushed open the car door, and with one foot already on the ground, turned back to glance at Chen Fan.

Chen Fan sat in the driver's seat, his hand resting on the steering wheel, looking at her.

Their eyes met briefly in the car. Chen Fan blinked, the movement very subtle.

Su Mian smiled gently upon seeing this. Her smile was slight, but clear enough.

She didn't say anything more. She withdrew her gaze, closed the car door, and followed Chen Tong toward the school gate.

...

On Monday morning, Chen Fan arrived at Fanyu Company, planning to check on the progress of fanti warm warm.

This game was a project Chen Fan valued highly, not just for its future revenue, but more importantly because it would collaborate with Fanti Company's business.

Upon arriving at the company, Chen Fan went straight to Zhang Tao's workstation.

"What's the progress like now?"

"Mr. Chen, it's almost finished and is currently undergoing testing. According to our previous schedule, it can be launched on time on August 6th."

"How far along is the collaboration plan with Fanti? Let me take a look." Chen Fan stood beside Zhang Tao's workstation, his eyes falling on the screen.

Zhang Tao scrolled down the shared document, saying as he scrolled, "We've communicated with Ms. Li multiple times and have finalized several collaboration plans."

"First is the collaboration on the game's background. In the game's world-building, Fanti Company will be set as the most famous clothing company in the industry. This name will be mentioned multiple times in the main storyline and side quests, serving as an important background support for the female protagonist's dress-up. Most of the outfits she wears will be replicated in the game based on design drafts provided by Fanti's design team, which is equivalent to showcasing their designs in the virtual world."

"The second is physical giveaway events." Zhang Tao paused. "Players participating in check-in events, top-up events, lucky draws, and so on, will have a chance to win physical clothing identical to those in the game."

Chen Fan didn't respond immediately after listening. Although the cost of physical clothing wasn't exceptionally high, they were real, tangible goods, and if the volume was large, it would be a significant expense. His brow furrowed slightly. "When designing the event rules, did you consider the issue of people abusing the system to exploit the rewards?"

Zhang Tao rubbed his bald head and smiled. "Ms. Li and I thought of that too. Exploiting rewards is completely unavoidable, but we've placed restrictions in the rules to minimize the probability as much as possible."

"For example, in the check-in event, one real-name identity can only claim it once. Moreover, they can't just check in as soon as they log in; players must maximize their daily activity points to get a check-in opportunity. Once the barrier to entry is raised, those who can consistently maximize their daily activity points are already active players of the game. The cost of exploiting the system would be too high for them."

"In addition, Ms. Li also said," Zhang Tao added, "that the gifts given away will be treated as advertising expenses. Fanti will bear all of these costs, as long as it serves a promotional purpose."

Hearing this, Chen Fan was somewhat speechless. Whether it was Fanti or Fanyu, both were his companies. Whichever bore the cost, it was still his money.

However, Li Nan's thinking was sound, and he wouldn't oppose it.

He nodded, his expression softening a bit. "Alright, this direction is fine."

"Is there anything else?" he asked.

Zhang Tao hesitated. "There are a few other plans that we can't do for the time being. We'll have to wait until later."

"What plans?" Chen Fan was somewhat curious.

Zhang Tao rubbed his hands together, his tone clearly hesitant. "If I tell you, Mr. Chen, please don't be angry?"

Chen Fan was stunned for a moment and glanced at him. "What on earth is this plan that would make me angry?"

"Stop dragging your feet and spit it out."

Zhang Tao took a deep breath. "The first is the offline store experience plan. Participating in various activities in the game can earn offline physical vouchers, which players can use to buy Fanti's clothing at physical stores. But right now, Fanti only has its design business and no clothing stores of its own, so this plan can't be implemented yet. We have to wait until they expand their retail channels."

"There's nothing wrong with this plan," Chen Fan said, a bit puzzled. "Fanti doesn't have physical stores now, but that doesn't mean it won't in the future. It won't be too late to launch it once they do."

"That is indeed fine," Zhang Tao's voice dropped slightly, "but as for the other plan, I'm afraid you might not agree."

"Tell me first."

Zhang Tao glanced at Chen Fan and slowed his speaking pace. "We plan to eventually build a 'fanti warm warm' theme park.

This park would be jointly funded by Fanyu and Fanti. When the time comes, it will be used to promote the game, host offline events, and sell game merchandise, such as physical versions of Fanti clothing. Selling admission tickets can also generate revenue."

Chen Fan didn't say anything, leaning against the workstation and remaining silent for a few seconds.

He hadn't expected the two of them to be so ambitious as to think of a theme park plan.

To be honest, Chen Fan also felt a flicker of excitement upon hearing this plan.

But such a thing couldn't just be built on a whim. Setting aside purchasing land and the complex approval processes, the cost alone was not something the current Chen Fan could afford.

It was currently 2011, and the cost of a medium-sized theme park would be at least three to five hundred million yuan. Adding the cost of land, it would easily exceed seven to eight hundred million yuan.

Fanyu did have over five hundred million yuan sitting in its accounts, but it was impossible to dump all of it into a theme park.

What's more, Fanti didn't have much money at all, so expecting both sides to co-fund it was unrealistic.

However, just because this plan couldn't be executed now didn't mean it couldn't be done in the future.

A thought quickly flashed through Chen Fan's mind—in a year or two, when Fanyu's business scale reached the next level, the company's market value would be at least ten billion yuan. With billions in cash flow sitting in the accounts, building a theme park wouldn't be a problem at all.

Moreover, his vision was even grander than Zhang Tao's and Li Nan's.

If he was going to build one, he wouldn't stop at just a 'fanti warm warm' theme park. If he was going to build it, he would build a massive one that incorporated all the games Fanyu had published.

A Fanyu Game Theme Park.

Inside, there would be a clothing experience area for 'fanti warm warm', a real-combat simulation hall for action games, an interactive play area for casual games, and they could even set up a Fanyu Game Museum to showcase every step of the company's journey from its founding to its growth.

Only that could be called a true IP realization.
