242: Chapter 242 Su Jingqiu's Desire

Chen Fan hung up the phone, grabbed his car keys from the desk, stood up, and left the office.

He went to the parking lot, found his Range Rover, opened the door, slid into the driver's seat, and started the engine.

The Range Rover let out a low rumble as it drove out of the parking lot and headed toward Chang'an District.

Over forty minutes later, Chen Fan turned into the familiar fork in the road of the industrial park, spotting Su Jingqiu's grayish-white factory building from afar.

The security guard at the gate was still the same old uncle from last time. With graying hair and wearing a faded security uniform, he was sitting in the guardhouse drinking tea.

Chen Fan stopped the car and rolled down the window, preparing to state his business, but he saw that the old man had already raised the barrier to let him in.

Chen Fan honked the horn as a greeting and drove inside.

Driving up to the three-story factory building, Chen Fan parked his Range Rover to the side, turned off the engine, and got out of the car.

As soon as he looked up, he saw Su Jingqiu already standing at the entrance of the office building.

Chen Fan quickly took a few steps forward and said with a smile, "Aunt Su, you could have just waited in your office. Sorry to trouble you to come out and meet me."

Su Jingqiu waved her hand, a smile on her face, her tone casual and warm. "You're Mianmian's friend, what trouble could it be?"

As Su Jingqiu spoke, her gaze casually swept past Chen Fan and landed on the white Range Rover parked in the open space, a flicker of surprise crossing her eyes.

She remembered that the last time Chen Fan came, he was driving a black porsche cayenne, which would have cost at least 1.7 or 1.8 million yuan brand new.

Not much time had passed, and he had already switched to a Range Rover. The two cars combined would easily cost four to five million.

She had previously asked her daughter, Su Mian, what Chen Fan did for a living.

Su Mian said Chen Fan made a lot of money writing novels, and then Chen Tong mentioned that Chen Fan had opened a company. As for what the company actually did, Su Mian wasn't quite sure.

At the time, Su Jingqiu hadn't taken it too seriously, assuming it was just an ordinary small company. A young man starting a business—how big of a wave could he make?

But now, it seemed she might have been wrong. Being able to afford two luxury cars worth millions meant that Chen Fan's company must be of a considerable scale, and he had plenty of cash on hand.

At this thought, the look in her eyes as she watched Chen Fan became increasingly pleased.

Handsome, smart, and capable of making money—isn't he the perfect candidate for a son-in-law in her heart?

It was just that nothing seemed to have happened between the two kids yet, which left her with some regret.

"Come, let's go up and talk," Su Jingqiu said, pulling back her thoughts and smilingly inviting Chen Fan upstairs.

The two walked into the office building one after the other. Su Jingqiu led the way at a steady pace. When they reached the second floor, she pushed open the office door and stepped aside to let Chen Fan in first.

"Have a seat, make yourself at home." Su Jingqiu pointed to the sofa, then walked over to the water dispenser and grabbed a disposable cup. "Tea or plain water?"

"Plain water is fine, Aunt Su. Don't go to any trouble." Chen Fan sat down on a chair.

Su Jingqiu walked over with the cup of water, placed it in front of Chen Fan, and sat down on the sofa next to him. "So, tell me, what brings you to see me this time?"

Chen Fan got straight to the point. "Aunt Su, I've got a batch of clothing designs and want to find a reliable OEM factory to produce them. It needs to be large-scale, well-managed, and have a good reputation to avoid any messy, troublesome issues. I'm not quite comfortable looking for one myself, so I wanted to ask if you could introduce me to a few."

Hearing this, Su Jingqiu narrowed her eyes and teased, "Well, look at you, Xiaofan. You're bypassing your aunt's clothing factory and asking me to help you find other OEMs. What, do you think my factory is too small to match your big business?"

Chen Fan quickly waved his hands and said with a bitter smile, "Aunt Su, you've misunderstood. It's not that I didn't want to use yours, it's just that the volume I need is quite high."

Su Jingqiu was a little unconvinced and leaned forward slightly. "Tell me first, how big of a volume do you need?"

"Fifty thousand pieces a month."

"Fifty thousand pieces?" Su Jingqiu's eyes widened slightly, and as if she hadn't heard clearly, she asked again, "How many did you say?"

"Fifty thousand pieces," Chen Fan repeated.

Su Jingqiu stared at him for two seconds. Once she was sure he wasn't joking, she leaned back against her chair.

It was no wonder she was so surprised. She had run this clothing factory for over a decade, and even under full capacity, they could produce at most less than twenty thousand pieces a month.

If they encountered styles with complex processes—such as those requiring multiple steps, numerous accessories, and hand-stitching—the output of finished products would be even lower; producing ten thousand pieces would already be considered good.

She looked up and sized up Chen Fan again, the surprise in her eyes not yet fully receded. Her tone grew more serious. "Xiaofan, why do you need so many? Are you sure you can sell them all?"

Chen Fan smiled and didn't offer much explanation, simply saying, "Don't worry, I have confidence. Even if we can't sell them all, it doesn't matter; we'll just treat it as a learning experience."

Su Jingqiu glanced at him, opened her mouth to say something, but swallowed her words.

She had wanted to offer some advice, saying that one shouldn't be so reckless in business.

But the words felt inappropriate when they reached her lips.

It was his own money and his own business; it wasn't her place as an outsider to tell him what to do.

Su Jingqiu sighed, her tone tinged with a bit of regret and envy. "It's a pity my factory's capacity isn't enough, otherwise I would have wanted to bid for this order as well."

She meant this sincerely.

The factory currently had fewer and fewer orders and was already in a state of semi-shutdown. In a while, they might not even be able to pay wages.

Therefore, Chen Fan's order of fifty thousand pieces a month was like a life-saving pie falling from the sky for her.

Unfortunately, this pie was a bit too hard, and her current capacity simply couldn't swallow it.

"If you could reach thirty thousand a month, Aunt Su, I could actually consider your factory," Chen Fan said.

Su Jingqiu froze, her eyes widening instantly.

"Thirty thousand?"

Her mind spun rapidly.

Her current factory had a capacity of less than twenty thousand pieces a month at most. But that was under normal operations. If they worked overtime, hired a new batch of workers, and rearranged the production lines, raising it to thirty thousand... was not impossible.

After a moment of silence.

She gritted her teeth, looked up at Chen Fan, her eyes holding a rare seriousness and determination. "Xiaofan, let me ask you honestly—if I can reach a capacity of thirty thousand pieces a month, will you consider giving the order to our factory?"

Chen Fan leaned back against his chair, tapped his fingers lightly on the armrest twice, and nodded. "As long as the quality keeps up and the capacity meets the standard, I can give a portion of the orders to you."

Su Jingqiu's eyes lit up, as if she had spotted an opportunity, and her back straightened up unconsciously.
