81: Chapter 81 Anyway, you're the one I hate the most

After leaving the bus station with Chen Fan, Lin Xi had originally thought that Chen Fan would take her by bus or taxi.

But when Chen Fan brought her to his car, Lin Xi was stunned for a moment.

She looked at Chen Fan with some surprise, "You bought a car?"

"How is it? Does it look good?"

"It's nice. Is this car a Porsche?"

"Hey, I'm surprised you even recognize this brand."

Back in 2010, most girls might have heard of the Porsche brand, but it was highly unlikely they would recognize the logo.

He hadn't expected Lin Xi to actually be able to identify the logo.

"Hmph, you actually underestimated me." Lin Xi lifted her chin, her tone tinged with a bit of triumph.

Chen Fan couldn't help but laugh, "Alright, you're the best."

Lin Xi looked down at the logo again, pursed her lips, and asked in a low voice, "This car... is it very expensive?"

"It's alright."

"What do you mean 'alright'?"

Chen Fan didn't answer; he opened the car door and said, "Get in, I'll take you for a drive."

Seeing that Chen Fan didn't want to talk about it, Lin Xi didn't press further, then opened the door and bent down to get into the passenger seat.

Chen Fan sat in the driver's seat, buckled his seatbelt, and turned his head to look at her, "Are you buckled up?"

"Mm." Lin Xi nodded.

The car started and drove forward.

2:00 PM. After they finished eating, Chen Fan looked at Lin Xi, "Where do you want to go to have fun?"

"It's too hot, I don't want to go out~" Lin Xi said, leaning lazily against the seat back, holding the unfinished drink in her hand.

"Then how about going to my place?"

Lin Xi turned her head and blinked. "Your place?"

"Mm, it's over in Qujiang, we'll be there in a few dozen minutes."

Lin Xi became interested and sat up straight. "Okay~"

More than half an hour later, the car stopped in the residential complex's underground garage. The two took the elevator up to the 17th floor.

Arriving at the door, Chen Fan entered the password. With a "beep," the door opened in response.

Chen Fan took out a pair of new slippers from the cabinet. "I don't have women's slippers for now, just wear these for the moment. I'll buy you a suitable pair when I go out tonight."

Lin Xi looked down at the slippers, which were clearly for men, stunned for a moment, then pursed her lips and started to smile.

"What? Do you dislike them?"

"No." Lin Xi shook her head and slid her feet in—the slippers were a size too big, like two little boats on her feet, making a "clack, clack" sound as she walked.

She looked down, then raised her head to look at Chen Fan, her eyes curving into crescents. "They're quite cute."

After walking into the room, Lin Xi's attention was immediately captured.

She stood at the entryway, her mouth slightly open, her gaze sweeping from the spacious living room to the floor-to-ceiling windows, then to the open-concept kitchen, and finally landing on the floor-to-ceiling window that covered almost the entire wall.

"It's so big~" She couldn't help but exclaim.

The living room was much larger than she had imagined; a light gray sofa was placed against the wall, and a laptop and a stack of documents were on the coffee table.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows was the city view, with skyscrapers shining under the sunlight.

"Xixi." Hearing this, Lin Xi turned her head and found Chen Fan looking at her with burning eyes.

She was wearing a white T-shirt today, clean and simple, with the neckline slightly open, revealing a small bit of her collarbone. On her legs were slim-fit jeans that outlined her slender leg lines. Her hair was tied in a ponytail, revealing a patch of fair skin on the back of her neck, with a few loose strands scattered by her ears.

Sunlight spilled in from the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a faint halo over her.

"What's wrong?" Chen Fan looked at her, didn't speak, and pulled her to sit on the sofa.

Her lips parted slightly, as if she wanted to say something. But she was pulled into Chen Fan's arms, and then her lips were blocked.

Lin Xi was a bit stiff at first, but under Chen Fan's passionate kiss, her body gradually softened.

After a long while, their lips parted. Lin Xi's face was slightly flushed as she adjusted her messy clothes at her chest.

"Every time we meet, you bully me~"

"Don't you like it too?" Chen Fan said with a wicked smile.

"Chen Fan," she raised her head to glare at him, her eyes glistening, "You're so annoying~"

"If I'm annoying, why are you holding me so tight?"

Just now when they were kissing, when Chen Fan's hands were moving around, Lin Xi hadn't resisted; instead, she had held him even tighter.

Lin Xi was incredibly shy, burying her face in his chest, her muffled voice coming out: "If you say that again, I won't pay attention to you..."

Chen Fan looked down at her, his earlobes slightly red, a faint pink tint spreading on his neck. He didn't tease her anymore, just gently rubbed her head. "Alright, I won't say it anymore."

Lin Xi leaned in his arms, and after a while, muttered in a low voice: "...Anyway, you're the most annoying."

Chen Fan smiled, didn't say anything more, and just pulled her closer into his arms.

The sunlight outside the floor-to-ceiling windows slowly slanted westward, and the light in the living room became soft. Lin Xi leaned against his chest, her breathing gradually stabilizing, and the hand clutching his clothes loosened unconsciously.

Chen Fan looked down—she had fallen asleep.

Her eyelashes cast a small shadow under her eyelids, her cheeks still carried the flush that hadn't quite faded, and the corners of her mouth were slightly upturned, as if she were having a pleasant dream.

He called out softly: "Xixi?" No response.

Chen Fan didn't move, just sat there letting her lean on him, waiting for a few more minutes. Once he was sure she was sound asleep, he carefully moved her away from his arms.

He stood up, bent down, one hand supporting her back, the other passing under her knees, and gently picked her up.

Lin Xi frowned in her sleep, nuzzled into his arms, and then became still again.

Chen Fan looked down at her, the corners of his mouth curving, and carried her toward the bedroom.

The bedroom curtains were half-drawn, and the light was dim. He gently laid Lin Xi on the bed, pulled up the thin quilt to cover her, and adjusted the position of the pillow.

Lin Xi turned over, buried her face in the pillow, and slept soundly. Chen Fan stood by the bed for a while, then gently closed the door and went out.

As the sun set, in the dim room, Lin Xi opened her eyes groggily.

Finding herself in an unfamiliar environment, a flash of panic appeared on her face instantly. The next second, she remembered she was at Chen Fan's place, and she let out a sigh of relief.

After coming to the living room, she discovered a tall figure doing push-ups shirtless.

Chen Fan had his hands on the floor, his body rising and falling with the movement, his back muscles gleaming with a faint luster under the sunset's afterglow. His shoulder blades slid with the movement, his waist and abdomen tightened, and sweat slid down the groove of his spine, disappearing at his waistline.

Chen Fan finished the last one, pushed himself up, and turned to look at her.

Lin Xi stood at the edge of the living room, stunned.

Sweat slid down the groove between his pectoral muscles, shining with tiny glimmers in the sunset's afterglow.

His pectoral muscles weren't exaggerated blocks, but full, smooth lines that rose and fell slightly with his breathing, as if wrapped in a thin layer of power.

Below were his abs—eight of them, neatly arranged, the bottom two faintly visible, half-hidden by his waistband, inviting imagination.
