298: Chapter 298 Game Launch

Upon returning home, Chen Tong froze in the entryway the moment she stepped inside. Her gaze swept across the spacious living room and the night view outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, her face filled with surprise: "Little brother, your place is this big?"

Chen Fan changed his shoes and walked in, replying nonchalantly: "Is this considered big? I'm not even living in a villa."

Chen Tong thought for a moment and nodded: "That's true. You're worth hundreds of millions now; it wouldn't be strange even if you lived in a villa."

As she spoke, she walked further inside, touching this and looking at that, full of curiosity about the apartment's renovation and layout.

Chen Fan brought in their suitcases and was about to arrange the rooms: "You two should each take a room. There are plenty of rooms, and the sheets and duvet covers have all been freshly changed—"

"No need, no need," Chen Tong interrupted him directly. "Mianmian and I will just sleep together. It's better to have company."

Chen Fan opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but swallowed the words back: "...Alright then."

Inwardly, he felt quite helpless. If they each had a room, he could have found an opportunity to sneak over to Su Mian's side once Chen Tong fell asleep. Now that the two of them were sharing a room, his plan was completely ruined.

But he didn't show it on his face, simply nodding: "Then you two should stay in that room. It has an en-suite bathroom, which is more convenient."

Chen Tong grabbed Su Mian's arm and headed inside: "Come on, Mianmian, let's go check out our room!"

After looking at the room, the two came to the living room to watch TV.

Chen Fan lay on the sofa on the other side, legs crossed, playing on his phone, occasionally glancing up at the TV screen.

Past ten in the evening, Chen Tong let out a huge yawn, sleepiness welling up in her eyes, and leaned against Su Mian's shoulder: "Mianmian, I'm so sleepy. I'm going to bed. Are you coming?"

Su Mian shook her head: "You go ahead. I'll finish watching this episode."

Chen Tong rubbed her eyes, stood up, and patted Su Mian's shoulder: "Alright, then don't stay up too late. We have to work tomorrow. If we're late, be careful that Chen Fan doesn't deduct our pay." After saying that, she shuffled off toward the room in her slippers, and when she reached the door, she turned back to add, "Come to bed early."

"Mhm, I know."

Upon hearing this, Chen Fan felt somewhat helpless. Even if they really slept until noon before going to work, could he actually penalize her?

After the bedroom door closed, the living room suddenly quieted down.

The sound of the TV drama was still playing, but Su Mian's attention was no longer on the screen.

She sensed movement from the other side of the sofa; in her peripheral vision, Chen Fan had already sat up.

Before she could turn her head, Chen Fan had already moved close to her, his shoulder almost brushing against hers, and lowered his voice with a sense of impatience: "Sister Su Mian, come to my room tonight. I've left the door unlocked for you."

Su Mian turned her head to look at him, her face carrying a hint of confusion and bewilderment: "What... what do you mean?"

She blinked, her eyes clean and innocent, as if she truly didn't understand.

Chen Fan watched her expression, stunned for a moment, then leaned in even closer: "I'm telling you to come find me tonight."

Su Mian still wore a puzzled expression, her tone so pure and innocent it didn't seem like she was acting: "Find you for what? Aren't you going to sleep?"

Chen Fan stared into her eyes for a moment, suddenly unsure if she really didn't understand or was deliberately playing dumb: "I mean, come sleep in my room tonight."

Su Mian tilted her head, looking at him. She was silent for several seconds, then said slowly: "But... your sister is still here."

"Wait until she falls asleep and then come over," Chen Fan quickly replied.

Su Mian watched his eager expression, and the corners of her mouth couldn't help but curl up slightly, but she quickly suppressed it, her expression still carrying that half-understanding innocence: "Then why did you leave the door unlocked for me?"

Chen Fan finally confirmed it—she was doing it on purpose. He looked at Su Mian's innocent face, the corners of his mouth slowly rising, and his voice lowered even further: "Sister Su Mian, you've learned to be bad."

Su Mian finally couldn't hold it back. She turned her head away, her shoulders trembling slightly, and the curve of her lips could no longer be hidden. She stood up, smoothed her clothes, looked down at him, and said in a light voice: "I'm going back to my room."

Seeing Su Mian return to her room, Chen Fan also returned to his.

Past midnight, Chen Fan lay in bed, hesitating whether to send Su Mian a message to ask, but he was afraid Chen Tong wasn't asleep yet, and it would be troublesome if his phone screen lit up and was seen. Just as he was struggling with this, a very faint sound of footsteps came from outside the door. The door was pushed open gently. Immediately after, Su Mian walked in wearing a white cotton nightdress. A few minutes later. From inside the room came a sound of music, deliberately kept low but very pleasant to the ear. ...

In the blink of an eye, it was August 2nd.

Yesterday, "fanti warm warm" had officially launched on major platforms.

This time, Chen Fan had again approved five million in funding for Wang Jing. This included a round of promotion across Weibo, Tieba, some forums for girls, and recommendation slots on several major app stores. Combined with the high quality of the game itself—and the fact that this kind of dress-up PK gameplay was popular at the time—the download numbers were growing rapidly.

After 24 hours, the total downloads across all platforms had exceeded 500,000.

Chen Fan was currently sitting in his office looking at his computer, and what was displayed on the screen was a Weibo post. The poster's name was Cheese Little Dumpling, and the profile picture was an anime avatar of a girl with long hair.

"I never thought that a game could make me play until 3 AM and still not want to put my phone down. I don't usually play games. Really. Whether it's computer games or mobile games, I can't get into them. I thought games really weren't for me."

"[Yesterday, my roommate told me she found a game in the app store called 'fanti warm warm' and said it was especially suitable for girls to play. She even brought her phone over to show me. I actually didn't want to look at the time, but my roommate insisted on shoving her phone in front of me, saying, 'Just take a look.' I couldn't resist her, so I took a peek. And then I froze. I never expected that someone could turn changing clothes into a game, and the art style really gives me the feeling that I am the one wearing beautiful clothes.]"

"[Do you guys know that feeling? When I go shopping, I pass by those display windows and see the beautiful dresses hanging inside; I can't move my feet. The way the lights hit them, the lace, the embroidery, the sequins—they all sparkle and look so good. But I can only look; I can't afford them. As a student, my living expenses are limited, so those dresses are just a dream to me.]"

"[But in this game, I can try on whatever I want. I can change to whatever hair I want, wear whatever dress I want; shoes, bags, accessories—I can mix and match everything myself. I don't have to look at the price, I don't have to worry about not being able to afford it; I just sit there quietly, changing outfit after outfit, matching set after set.]"

"[Yesterday, I put together a blue long dress with a small white jacket. After I finished matching it, I stared at the screen for a long time. It was really beautiful, a style I wouldn't dare to imagine in real life. Later, I discovered that there is a whole series of clothes in the game that actually has a real clothing brand behind it, called Fanti. I even specially searched for it and found that this brand actually has a dedicated flagship store on Taobao. I opened it and took a look; the clothes in the game, except for some of the more fantastical ones, are mostly available for sale in the shop, and they are all very pretty.]"

"[I can't describe that feeling. It's just that it feels like someone took those dresses in the display windows that I can see but can't afford and moved them into my phone, letting me try them on, wear them, and have a dream. Hmm, I've said so much, but I actually just want to express one thing: turns out there really is a game suitable for us girls.]"
