135: Chapter 135: Robots are completely wiped out

“In any case, if you can win, fight. If you can’t, retreat quickly. Never fight head-on. We’ll gradually eliminate them through alternating attacks and mobility.”

“Agreed!”

“Agreed!”

The cadets unanimously agreed.

They had all been holding their breath, having been tormented for half a month, and needed to vent.

The instructors sitting in the base saw this scene and nodded in approval.

“It’s not simple. In just half a month, everyone has developed such a strong combat awareness.”

“I just don’t understand. We rank them every day, so wouldn’t there be competition and rivalry among them? How can they still unite?”

“Competition and rivalry certainly exist. A Soldier who doesn’t want to be a General isn’t a good Soldier. However, I think pressure creates motivation. In the face of countless robots, the desire to survive forces them to stand on the same front line.”

“That’s right, difficulty is the greatest driving force for human progress. In a dangerous environment, a group will form a cohesive unity, whereas in a comfortable environment, ideological divisions will breed,” Oriental Chen said.

The instructors all nodded thoughtfully.

“Mr. Dongfang, do you think they can last until the end tomorrow?” Rong Po asked.

“We’ll know tomorrow,” Oriental Chen said with a smile.

Rong Po shook his head with a smile, not understanding.

After the cadets finalized their plan, they quickly headed to the pre-determined combat zone.

The instructors arrived closely behind, distributed supplies, but offered no guidance.

After eating and drinking their fill, everyone had a good night’s sleep.

Since all 240 cadets were concentrated together, the next morning, 1200 robots swarmed towards the large bridge.

Immediately, the battle began.

The first two echelons to engage in combat were the Bronze and Silver groups. They hid behind defensive fortifications and fired in unison at the charging robots. Soon, over 200 robots were annihilated.

Seeing that the robots were about to rush over, they stopped firing and quickly retreated behind the Diamond and Gold groups.

In this kind of urban warfare, the Diamond and Bronze groups wouldn't show a significant combat difference. This was simple firepower, not requiring complex combat skills.

After eliminating over 100 robots, the two groups began to retreat behind the other two smaller groups.

The streets were filled with cars as obstacles, greatly hindering the robots’ mobility. The cadets could use these cars as natural cover, continuously firing as they retreated.

Even so, the cadets suffered heavy casualties. After several rounds of retreat, the cadets were reduced by 1/3, but 700 robots had already been eliminated, a remarkable achievement.

“This is the most intense battle in half a month,” Rong Po said, looking at the screen.

“This is nothing, just the beginning,” Oriental Chen said.

The others didn’t understand, but just nodded silently.

The battle lasted for two hours, ending with the cadets annihilating all the robots.

Everyone stood in the street, cheering, celebrating, and fully releasing the suppression of the past half-month.

Oriental Chen smiled, said nothing, and turned to leave.

It was time for the instructors to appear.

They reviewed today’s combat process, explaining in detail some methods and techniques for mutual cover and cooperation on the battlefield.

They also adjusted the grouping again based on everyone’s scores.

For the next five days, everyone adopted the same tactics, continuously practicing the combat skills they had learned.

Until the sixth day, the situation changed.

37 cadets began to exhibit supernatural abilities.

Most people’s abilities appeared in strength and speed, and in addition, two people developed control abilities.

One person could create and control fire out of thin air, and another could release and control lightning.

With the enhancement of these abilities, the battlefield situation changed.

The cadets began to charge, using cars as shields, launching an annihilation battle against the robots.

This left the instructors in the base wide-eyed and speechless.

“Oh my goodness, are these cadets all monsters? Look at him, he’s directly lifting a car with his bare hands! And him, he was here a moment ago, and suddenly he’s there, is this instant teleportation?”

“Look, this guy! One jump is almost 10 meters, right? Is this still a human?”

“Is this a Mutant? So strong!”

“Captain, did you also get the antigen shot? What’s your ability?” an instructor asked.

“Get lost!” Rong Po glared at him, not answering.

The instructor who asked the question smiled foolishly and dared not speak.

“Captain, why don’t we talk to the Commander and set up a Mutant squad? Their combat power is amazing!” another instructor suggested.

“It was already brought up a while ago. But recently, due to the zombie rat plague, the Commander hasn’t had time,” Rong Po explained.

“So that’s how it is.”

“If we go up against these kids now, I estimate it would be very difficult to beat them.”

“Not very difficult, but definitely impossible! Can you lift a car with your bare hands, or run 30 meters in one second, or grab lightning? They’ll instantly fry you to a crisp!”

“Captain, you say Mutants are so powerful, will we be obsolete in the future?”

Rong Po did not answer.
