566: Chapter 566 Teleport to Mars Base

Okay Luo local time, 12 PM.

The delegation led by Cai Liquan left Egula and returned to Ulan.

...

"Oriental Chen, the Mars Base has completed the plan revision," Monga said solemnly.

"Oh? Is that so? What do we do next?" Oriental Chen asked.

This was a major event, concerning the focus of their work for the next ten-plus years.

"Please follow me!" Monga said.

Oriental Chen followed her out of the main hall, into the elevator, and down to the floor below.

This was his first time leaving the monitoring hall.

The floor below was full of sealed rooms, without windows, and he didn't know what was inside.

The corridor was very narrow, allowing only one person to pass at a time.

Walking in such a corridor felt very oppressive.

Monga led him for a long time, twisting and turning, like walking through a maze.

Half an hour later, they stopped at the end of a corridor.

"Click~"

The door opened automatically, and Monga and Oriental Chen walked in one after another.

Unlike the cramped corridor, the inside was quite spacious.

"Step on it," Monga said, looking at the circular platform in the center.

Oriental Chen glanced at Monga, hesitated for a moment, didn't ask further, and walked straight onto it.

"Buzz~" The platform's lights turned on, emitting a strong blue light.

"Whoosh~" A transparent, glass-like circular barrel cover descended, enclosing him in the middle.

It was like a very large circular glass cup, trapping a person.

Oriental Chen was a little nervous, he looked up and observed his surroundings, not knowing what awaited him.

He looked at Monga; she stood there, motionless, expressionless, and silent.

"The teleporter has been activated and is performing a self-check..."

"Self-check complete, beginning energy accumulation..."

A prompt sound came from inside the glass cover.

5 minutes later.

"Energy accumulation complete, beginning to establish a teleportation channel..."

"Buzz~" The noise from the platform grew louder and louder, as if some equipment was operating at high speed.

"Please set the destination..."

"Destination set successfully, connecting channel..."

Oriental Chen hadn't made any settings, yet the destination was successfully set. It must have been pre-set by the system program, or Monga was operating it.

"Channel connected successfully, teleportation about to begin..."

"Countdown starting..."

"Buzz~" The noise grew even louder.

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0."

"Whoosh~" There was a sound.

Oriental Chen disappeared from the container.

"Whoosh~" With another sound, Oriental Chen reappeared in the transparent container.

However, he knew that this container was no longer the one he had entered.

He clearly knew he had been teleported.

He didn't need to think to know that this was the secret Mars Base Monga had mentioned.

"Whoosh~" The container opened.

Oriental Chen walked out.

"Mr. Dongfang, this way please." A robot very similar to Monga flew over.

The difference was that Monga was white, and he was black.

"Where is this?" Oriental Chen asked as he walked.

Although he knew it was Mars, it was better to confirm.

"This is the Dragon Country Mars Base," the robot said.

He seemed to have self-awareness, just like Monga.

His voice was like a little boy.

The robot's answer confirmed the guess in his heart.

"Why did you teleport me here?" Oriental Chen asked.

"You will know shortly," the robot did not answer him, but merely led the way on its own.

If he hadn't known this was a base built by his ancestors, he truly wouldn't have dared to move forward.

The corridors in the base were still very wide; wherever he walked, the lights would automatically turn on.

After several turns, they arrived at a room in the furthest corner.

"Click~"

The door made a sound, but it didn't open.

"Click"

The robot tried again, the door flickered, but still didn't open.

"Mr. Dongfang, the equipment is malfunctioning and requires your help," the robot looked at him.

"Okay!"

Oriental Chen nodded, walked to the door, and tried to pry it open with his hands.

"Ow~"

Oriental Chen used all his might, but he just couldn't open it.

"Ow~"

He tried again, but it still didn't work.

"I need tools!" Oriental Chen looked at the robot.

"Okay, please follow me." The robot led him back.

After walking about two hundred meters, they arrived at another doorway.

"Click~"

The door reacted, but still didn't open.

"Mr. Dongfang, this door needs to be opened manually," the robot said.

"Oh, okay!" Oriental Chen stepped forward, gripped the hidden handle, and lifted it up.

"Clunk~", the door opened.

"Phew~" Oriental Chen took a deep breath.

Fortunately, it opened.

If this door hadn't opened either, the situation would have been truly awkward.

Perhaps the original designer also considered this aspect, which is why this door was designed to be opened manually.

Pushing the door open, the inside was full of shelves, with all sorts of tools.

However, many were still scattered on the ground.

This must have been caused by vibrations, similar to an earthquake, which shook some of the tools down.
