437: Chapter 437: A Stud
“Where is the spaceship now?” Oriental Chen asked.
“It’s still in Krastov Oblast,” Valetov replied.
Krastov Oblast is on the west bank of the Volga River, between the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea.
To his west, it borders the current Okshung Empire, and to the south is the Moduo Da United Republic.
Oriental Chen stood up and paced back and forth in the reception room.
Valetov didn't rush him; he just sat there watching.
The item was indeed tempting, but the location was a bit awkward.
It was clear Valetov wanted to throw out a bait and have Oriental Chen be his gatekeeper.
“Mr. Valetov, I think I’ll pass after all. This thing is too hot to handle; I can’t digest it,” Oriental Chen said, shaking his head.
“Alas! If that’s the case, then fine. Mr. Dongfang, since we cannot cooperate, I have one more humble request, which I hope you can grant,” Valetov said, taking a deep breath.
“What is it?” Oriental Chen asked.
“I hope Mr. Dongfang can take in millions of survivors and tens of thousands of Soldiers from my Olos Country,” Valetov said.
“Mr. Valetov, I don’t understand what you mean,” Oriental Chen frowned.
“Since Mr. Dongfang doesn’t need it, I can’t leave it for those bastards from Okshung. I plan to initiate a self-destruct program and use the remaining nuclear bombs to destroy all important towns and industrial facilities,” Valetov said.
Oriental Chen was speechless; this Valetov was truly a ruthless person.
“Mr. Valetov, I don’t think you need to be so pessimistic. You can try going to Huaguo; perhaps you can get some help,” Oriental Chen didn’t take his bait.
“Forget it. Don’t think I don’t know that Huaguo’s technology also came from you. That’s how it is! Mr. Dongfang, I entrust those last survivors to you!” After speaking, Valetov stood up and saluted sharply.
Oriental Chen quickly put his hand down.
This was a threat of death, moral blackmail.
“Mr. Valetov, you don’t need to do this. How about this, I’ll offer a plan, and you listen,” Oriental Chen said.
“Oh? Please speak, Mr. Dongfang,” Valetov sat back down.
“I can help you build 5 underground survival bases on the west bank of the Volga River, in the current Okshung Federation occupied territory. But the condition is that you need to use the North Siberia region as collateral and pay the construction costs in installments,” Oriental Chen stated his plan.
He was using their own methods against them.
Valetov wanted to give the occupied territory to Oriental Chen, but his purpose was nothing more than to use Oriental Chen’s power to help him resist strong enemies.
But Oriental Chen couldn't fall for his trick.
He still had to defend his own territory.
So he proposed building the survival bases in the occupied territory.
Olos Country resisting the Okshung Federation would also benefit him.
As long as Olos Country still existed, his Ulan Neutral Zone would be safe.
He didn't like fighting, but he liked others fighting.
Because as long as there was fighting, there was business to be done.
As for the North Siberia region, although the environment was harsh, it was a treasure trove for him.
This area covers over 8 million square kilometers, is vast and sparsely populated, and incredibly rich in natural resources.
The most crucial point was that there were no enemies around, which would save a lot of trouble.
“Build it in the occupied territory? Mr. Dongfang, you must be joking, right? That place is not under our control now, so how can we construct it?” Valetov thought this was impossible.
“You don’t need to worry about that. If I say it can be done, it definitely can. Construction is not a problem, and it can be completed in at most 2 months. The most critical issue is how to defend it,” Oriental Chen said.
“Right, how to defend?” Valetov was confused.
“I can provide you with a complete set of weapons and equipment,” Oriental Chen said.
“Mr. Dongfang, aren’t you afraid I can’t afford the crystals?” Valetov finally understood; he was treating him as an ATM.
“You can mobilize your Citizens to produce crystals!” Oriental Chen laughed.
Then Oriental Chen explained the plan again.
He could build turrets, protective shields, and feed production lines in the base.
Other operating methods were the same as in his country.
Also, the new species of controllable rats could be used as combat power.
Valetov listened, completely bewildered.
“Mr. Dongfang, are you sure this will work?”
“It must work. If it doesn’t, I won’t charge a single cent,” Oriental Chen replied confidently.
Valetov hesitated.
For him, doing this was too risky.
Building a base in the occupied territory, for him, was inherently suicidal.
And now he had to put all his assets into it.
All the Citizens, all the resources, all the hope were riding on these 5 survival bases.
What if it didn’t work?
Oriental Chen just lightly said: “I won’t charge a single cent.”
But for him, it meant the destruction of his country and the extinction of his people.
Although his country would be destroyed even without resistance, at least millions of Citizens would survive, and as long as they were alive, there was still hope.
But if he followed Oriental Chen’s plan, not only could his country be destroyed, but these millions of Citizens would also be lost; it was equivalent to going all-in.
