586: Chapter 586: Taking Advantage of the Situation
“That’s right, Myriad Laws Scripture.”
“It is said that once a Mutant breaks through to Tier 5, their abilities will undergo a qualitative leap,” Putian Xiaoyezi affirmed.
“How much of a leap?” Oriental Chen asked.
“One person can destroy a country.” He made that up to exaggerate the danger of the sacrificial ceremony.
“Is the intelligence accurate?” Oriental Chen asked seriously.
He was preparing to feign cooperation.
“Absolutely,” Putian Xiaoyezi replied solemnly, secretly delighted.
It’s good that he’s cooperating.
“You’ve done well. This matter must be stopped, otherwise everyone will suffer.”
“Please give your orders!”
“The Okshung plans to raid Mordo during the military exercise, and your mission is to cooperate with their actions,” Oriental Chen said.
“Oriental Chen really knows the true purpose of the military exercise!” Putian Xiaoyezi’s eyes lit up.
Putian Xiaoyezi understood that Oriental Chen was going to such great lengths to test her. And now, she had passed the test.
“Mr. Dongfang, we are currently stationed in Damascus under orders, so it might be inconvenient to act,” Putian Xiaoyezi pretended to be in a difficult position.
Agreeing too quickly would seem unreasonable.
“That’s your business, I don’t care. You are to lead your fleet to Istanbul within 24 hours and await further instructions,” Oriental Chen said forcefully.
“This…” Putian Xiaoyezi did not answer immediately.
“If you can’t do it, you’ll bear the consequences!” Oriental Chen added.
“…Yes!” Putian Xiaoyezi responded.
“Oriental Chen, just you wait, I want you to die a horrible death!” After hanging up the phone, Putian Xiaoyezi revealed a sinister smile.
She thought Oriental Chen had taken the bait, but little did she know the hook was actually in her own backside.
Immediately, Putian Xiaoyezi rushed to the Elder Hall. There was no other way to communicate.
On the other side, the three battleships loaded with crystalss and Bee Queens arranged by Oriental Chen also arrived in the Okshung Federation via Olos Country airspace.
“General Will, I need you to prepare 27 battleships,” Oriental Chen contacted Will and said.
“What? Mr. Dongfang, what you’re doing is too much. Do you think Okshung’s battleships just blow in with the wind?” Will roared angrily.
He had previously promised Oriental Chen that he could provide some convenience for him to investigate Mordo.
But the cost of 27 battleships was simply too great.
He had no doubt that these battleships would be on a road to death once they entered Mordo.
“If these battleships are damaged, I can compensate you,” Oriental Chen said.
“No, no, no. Our soldiers are not to be sacrificed at will,” Will’s tone softened a little, but he still disagreed.
“They can be self-piloted; no one is needed inside,” Oriental Chen explained.
“What? No one needed? Then what do you need these battleships for? Don’t forget, once they enter Mordo, these battleships will lose control,” Will reminded him in surprise.
“I have my uses,” Oriental Chen said.
“Are you sure you can compensate?” Will asked.
If no one was needed and the battleships could be compensated, then it didn’t matter.
Anyway, there was no loss, so he could do whatever he wanted.
“Absolutely. And I can install protective shields for you,” Oriental Chen answered with great certainty.
“Alright! Tell me, what do I do?” Will no longer hesitated when he heard that energy shields would also be provided.
“In a few hours, battleships from the Great Sun Country will arrive in Istanbul. I hope that before then, the 27 battleships you prepare can be in place and docked with the battleships I sent over,” Oriental Chen said.
“Battleships from the Great Sun Country? You’re confusing me,” Will wasn’t quite clear.
“They are my subordinates,” Oriental Chen replied.
“I see. If that’s the case, why do you still need my cooperation?” Will asked.
“They have their own mission,” Oriental Chen replied.
“I understand,” Will nodded.
“Then that’s it,” Oriental Chen prepared to hang up the phone.
“Mr. Dongfang, let me emphasize again, don’t forget our agreement,” Will reminded him.
“I won’t,” Oriental Chen said before hanging up the communication.
Inside the Elder Hall.
“Elder, Oriental Chen was indeed testing me; he definitely knows the purpose of the Okshung’s military exercise,” Putian Xiaoyezi reported.
“Has he taken the bait?” the Elder asked.
“I think he’s definitely taken the bait,” Putian Xiaoyezi replied.
“What you think isn’t important; the facts are what matter,” the Elder corrected.
“The Elder is right. Oriental Chen gave me an order to go to Istanbul,” Putian Xiaoyezi added.
In her opinion, Oriental Chen issuing this order meant he had taken the bait.
If he didn’t intend to get involved in this mess, he wouldn’t send her there.
“It seems they plan to join forces against us,” the Elder nodded.
“Yes. So what do we do next?” Putian Xiaoyezi asked.
“Of course, we’ll play along and see what their plan is,” the Elder said.
