531: Chapter 531 Asking for something

One person placed the medicine box on the ground, opened it, and took out a large syringe with a three-centimeter diameter.

Another Special Operations Team member took the syringe and removed the protective cap.

"Click~"

He directly raised his arm and injected it.

The method was too violent, too crude.

The unconscious Jingqi had no reaction whatsoever.

Another dose was handed out and injected directly into the abdomen of another person.

In less than two minutes, the medication was administered.

Another 20 minutes passed, and a few people began to react.

They opened their eyes and looked around.

"Where is this?" a subordinate asked.

The others shook their heads; no one knew.

"Thump~"

Jingqi sat up abruptly.

"Hiss~"

He tried to lift his arm, but a sharp pain came from his arm.

It was then that he realized the tendons in both of his hands had been severed.

He tried to stand up, but after several attempts, he found that his Achilles tendons had also been severed.

It was obvious that he had been captured.

"Holy One, our hands and feet are broken," the subordinate said.

"Shut up!" Jingqi snapped.

He looked around, trying to find some useful information.

However, there was no result.

"Gentlemen, you can look behind you." Oriental Chen sat on a wide chair, his legs crossed.

Dai Zheng accompanied him nearby.

"Hmm?" The sudden voice startled several people.

They collectively turned their heads to look behind them.

"Who are you?" Jingqi asked.

"Let me introduce myself, my name is Oriental Chen. I'm sure you must have heard my name," Oriental Chen said.

"You are Oriental Chen of the Ulan Neutral Zone?" Jingqi asked.

"That's right!" Oriental Chen smiled slightly.

"Did you capture us?" Jingqi asked.

"Then you've wronged me. You were lying in the desert, on the verge of death, and I sent people to rescue you," Oriental Chen said.

Jingqi and the others exchanged glances, recalling carefully.

It was like waking up from a hangover the next day; they seemed to have no memory of what had just happened.

However, they definitely knew they were being chased by the Sand People.

"Then what's wrong with our hands and feet?" Jingqi asked.

"Please understand. You are too dangerous; if I didn't take some protective measures, I wouldn't dare bring you back," Oriental Chen said with a smile.

"Hmph! That sounds good, but I'm afraid you have another motive, don't you?" Jingqi was not convinced.

"Naturally. If you were useless, would I waste this time? Don't you agree?" Oriental Chen admitted generously.

"What do you want?" Jingqi asked.

"Simple, to inquire about something I want to know," Oriental Chen replied.

"What is it?"

"For example, who are you, and what are you doing here?"

"No comment." Jingqi did not have a habit of divulging information.

Oriental Chen hadn't expected to get anything out of him anyway; otherwise, he would have interrogated him in Golden City earlier.

"It doesn't matter; I already know these things even if you don't tell me. How about we make a deal?" Oriental Chen said.

"What deal?"

"I'll send you back to Mordo, and you tell me some things you know."

"Impossible!" Jingqi refused decisively.

"You're being a bit unappreciative. I wonder if the other three will be like you?"

"Hmph!" Jingqi glanced at them, sneering disdainfully.

He believed these subordinates knew very little valuable information.

"Did you know about the existence of the Sand People before this? Just tell me the relevant information, and you can leave alive."

"I only want to know this one question. Consider it."

Oriental Chen first laid out the question.

From the video of their fight with the Sand People, it was clear that Jingqi knew some characteristics of the Sand People.

Moreover, he felt that this matter should not be too top-secret for the Moni Sect, and it might not be impossible to extract it from their mouths.

Indeed, after hearing Oriental Chen's conditions, Jingqi's eyes clearly showed some movement.

"Why should I believe you?" Jingqi asked.

"You don't have to believe me, but you know the consequences," Oriental Chen said.

He meant to tell him that if he believed, there was a chance to return alive, but if he didn't, it would certainly be a dead end.

Anyone with a brain should know how to choose.

"I learned about the Sand People from an ancient book within the sect," Jingqi thought for a moment and chose to answer.

"Oh? Tell me about it." Oriental Chen became interested.

"Starting thousands of years ago, the Holy Sect would send out a large number of missionaries every year. Their mission was to spread the teachings of the Holy Sect throughout the world. Some missionaries would return after a few years, but most might never return in their lifetime. These returning missionaries would record what they saw and heard along the way, and that's the origin of those ancient books," Jingqi briefly introduced the background.

"Go on." Oriental Chen nodded.
