504: Chapter 504 Contact Mr. Qin

When all the turning points were connected, they formed a perfect sphere.

The situation was now clear: they were trapped inside a hemispherical cover with a radius of 400 kilometers.

"Commander, what do we do next?" Dai Zheng asked.

"Contact the other Special Operations Team members and have them come here," Oriental Chen said, pointing on the map.

"Yes, Commander!"

For safety, Oriental Chen did not have them come directly to Li Mountain, but instead to the vicinity of the northern turning point.

It would be awkward if they rashly came here and all got trapped inside.

Another hour passed, and the other Special Operations Team members arrived at the designated area.

It was already past one in the afternoon.

...

"Reporting, Chief, six warships have arrived from the direction of Batuo City," a Soldier reported.

"Understood, continue observing," Old Qin nodded and commanded.

"Yes, Soldier!" The Soldier saluted and left.

Now that Huaguo has taken over all operations of the Mercenary Guild, their reconnaissance capabilities have significantly improved.

Old Qin was still closely monitoring Oriental Chen's every move. The arrival of warships from Batuo City indicated that Oriental Chen had already noticed something was amiss.

...

"Commander, they're here," Dai Zheng reported.

"Have them send a drone over," Oriental Chen said.

"Yes, Commander!"

Upon receiving the order, the Special Operations Team members outside the northern turning point quickly sent a drone to the emergence point.

"Commander, this isn't right! The drone is clearly here, but why can't we see it?" Dai Zheng asked.

"Have them retrieve the drone!" Oriental Chen said, frowning in thought.

The drone flew back after receiving the command.

Furthermore, it could come and go freely, unaffected by the turning point.

"Commander, their drone wasn't affected," Dai Zheng reported.

"Yes, I saw it," Oriental Chen nodded.

"But why is that? I feel like we've been isolated from this world," Dai Zheng wondered.

"You're right. I feel like this is a folded space. Although it looks like the normal world, it's actually another place," Oriental Chen explained, carefully choosing his words.

"Folded space?" Dai Zheng scratched his head, finding it difficult to comprehend.

"Yes. Just like a piece of paper can be folded," Oriental Chen explained.

"It's hard to imagine what space looks like after being folded," Dai Zheng shook his head, indicating he couldn't picture it.

"Not just you, none of us can fully understand it. Because our brains can only perform three-dimensional modeling, and to fold space, four-dimensional space is required," Oriental Chen briefly explained.

"Oh my goodness! If we can't figure it out, won't it be even harder to leave?" Dai Zheng asked.

"I'm just guessing. Of course, it could also be a parallel space or an independent space," Oriental Chen added.

"Commander, is there a difference between these types of spaces?" Dai Zheng had heard similar concepts but had never considered the distinctions.

"Folded space was just explained. Of course, since it's folded, it's naturally continuous with the main space. I suspect the reason we can pass through the turning point to the emergence point is because of this folding."

"Parallel space is different. It might be very similar to our world, but it's essentially two completely different spaces. As the name suggests, parallel lines never intersect. The situation we're in now only has one characteristic that matches parallel space: we can't see the drone they sent at all. However, since we can send messages to each other, the possibility of it being a parallel space isn't very high."

"Independent space, as the name implies, is independent of the space we live in, equivalent to another space. By the same logic, the possibility of this being an independent space is also very small, but it cannot be completely ruled out."

Oriental Chen gave a general explanation.

He was willing to take the time to explain, hoping that this way would help him organize his thoughts.

"Hearing you say that, I also think it's more likely to be a folded space," Dai Zheng mused.

"The problem now is how we got in. Only by figuring that out can we find a way back," Oriental Chen said.

"After we separated from Old Qin, we didn't do anything, just kept flying north. Nothing happened during that time, and there were no unusual circumstances," Dai Zheng said.

Oriental Chen nodded, rubbing his chin.

"I'll contact Old Qin," Oriental Chen said.

He suddenly thought, since he was trapped in this folded space and couldn't get out, how did Old Qin leave?

He dialed Old Qin's number through his Digital Eye.

"Hello, Xiao Chen," Old Qin's voice came from the other end of the line.

"Old Qin, I suspect I'm trapped in a folded space," Oriental Chen said, cutting straight to the chase without pleasantries.

"I know," Old Qin said calmly.

"You know?" Oriental Chen was puzzled.

"That's right. That's why I stopped you from exploring the Qin Emperors Mausoleum," Old Qin said.
