606: Chapter 606: China Sends Troops

“High Priest! I can guarantee that Putian Xiaoyezi is absolutely fine!” Nishino Mikio said in a panic.

If Putian Xiaoyezi had a problem, then the trouble would be huge.

With the defensive line breached and air superiority lost, Mordo would likely face widespread destruction.

“Then explain to me, what is this situation?” The High Priest pointed at the large screen and questioned.

“This… this…” Nishino Mikio was speechless.

“Find a way to destroy them! Since these battleships cannot be used by me, they must be destroyed immediately!” The High Priest took a deep breath.

He couldn’t punish Nishino Mikio now.

Because the sacrificial ceremony required the activation of the Star Array, and the Star Array needed the Elders to control it.

“I’ll think of a way!” Nishino Mikio prepared to leave.

“You cannot leave!” The High Priest stopped him.

He knew Nishino Mikio was preparing to go there himself, but if he died there, it would be even more awkward.

Even a 4th-tier Mutant couldn’t withstand a battleship’s laser cannon.

“Yes!” Nishino Mikio could only obey.

“Order all battleships to return immediately!” The High Priest said helplessly.

Now that he couldn’t control the situation, the only thing he could do was protect the main church.

The altar was here and absolutely could not be breached.

As long as they held out until 12 PM tomorrow, when the sacrificial ceremony began, there was still a chance to turn the tide.

But once something happened to the main church, everything would be over.

After the order was issued, all battleships that had been harassing Egula and Oriental Chen withdrew and flew towards the interior of Mordo.

“Mr. Dongfang, they’ve withdrawn, should we pursue them?” Te Chars asked.

“No need. Now we don’t need to deliberately hide anything; let’s concentrate our forces on destroying the Elder Hall,” Oriental Chen said.

Over a hundred Elder Halls were distributed throughout various regions of Mordo. To clear them all would take at least a dozen hours.

“Mr. Te Chars, Mr. High Priest, I suggest we split up. Let’s break the battleships into smaller units and launch simultaneous attacks. This way, the efficiency will be higher.”

“Understood.”

“Understood.”

The two had no objections.

Now that there was no external threat, splitting up posed little risk.

So, Egula’s side, Maya’s side, the Great Sun Country controlled by Maya, and Oriental Chen’s side each took responsibility for a region and began a large-scale sweep.

“Mr. Dongfang, is it not a bit strange that Mordo is letting us destroy these Elder Halls?” Te Chars asked with some concern.

“They must be planning to sacrifice a pawn to save the king. Don’t worry, as long as we keep a close watch on their battleships’ movements, we can follow the clues and find the location of the altar. Let’s quickly clear the Elder Halls for now, and then make our next move once we have more information.”

“Alright!” Te Chars said no more.

With Mordo’s remaining 60 battleships all converging towards the center, Oriental Chen knew their destination must be the altar.

He still didn’t know at this point what form the sacrifice would take or what conditions it required.

In his view, clearing the Elder Halls was merely to increase their chances of winning. How much it would increase was very hard to say.

Since the altar’s location hadn’t been pinpointed yet, this was all they could do.

To further increase their chances, he contacted Old Qin again.

It was time for the Hua Nation army stationed at the border to deploy.

They weren’t responsible for clearing villages but rather for advancing directly into the interior of Mordo.

By the time the troops arrived, the altar’s location would basically be found.

Old Qin’s decision to deploy troops this time also came under immense pressure.

Because at this time, Hua Nation was very chaotic.

Even though all underground bases were under strict lockdown, various conflicts continued to erupt, showing a trend of escalating.

“Old Qin, it’s time to deploy troops,” Oriental Chen said concisely.

“Alright! This time I’ll cooperate with you; however you say to fight, that’s how we’ll fight!” Old Qin was unequivocal.

He knew that only when Mordo was destroyed could Hua Nation’s problems be fundamentally resolved.

So, no matter how difficult, they had to fight.

“The Northwest Military Region and the Southwest Military Region will split into two routes and advance towards the interior of Mordo. I will grant you monitoring access; just follow the routes and advance.”

“Alright!”

The two Military Regions primarily had two types of military units: tanks and battleships.

Their mobility was still good.

From the Hua Nation border to the core area of Mordo, the distance exceeded 1000 kilometers.

It was now 6:00 PM.

At the speed of tanks, it would take at least about 13 hours.

At the fastest, they wouldn't arrive until after 6:00 AM the next day.

To be safe, battleships must depart first. This way, they could establish control over the core area by around 8:00 PM.

“High Priest, Hua Nation has deployed troops!” an Elder reminded him.

“Good! That saves us some trouble. Pass down the order: focus on defense. As long as we hold out until 12 PM tomorrow, victory will be ours.” The High Priest showed no fear.
