501: Chapter 501: No More Exploration

"Old Qin, there's no jade slip here that you mentioned."

"I made that up, of course there isn't!" Old Qin shot him a look.

"Alright!" Oriental Chen nodded helplessly again.

"Where else do you want to look?" Old Qin asked.

"Nowhere left." Oriental Chen shook his head.

"That's good, retract the detector." Old Qin said.

Oriental Chen was stunned for a moment, then replied:

"Alright!"

"Don't try to fool me, it must be retracted!" Old Qin said very seriously.

"Okay!" Oriental Chen responded emphatically.

Oriental Chen gave the order to Xiao Lin.

"It's withdrawn!" Oriental Chen replied.

Immediately after, the image of the Mausoleum on the screen disappeared.

"Retrieve the equipment outside as well!" Old Qin tilted his head and commanded.

"Okay!" Oriental Chen replied, complying with him.

Then he opened the door and walked to the hall.

"Dai Zheng, retrieve the equipment!" Oriental Chen shouted loudly.

"Yes!" Dai Zheng acknowledged the order and took a few people out.

Soon, the boxes that had been lowered were pulled back up.

"Fill the snow back in!" Old Qin proposed a new request.

"Okay!" Oriental Chen continued to nod.

"Execute the order!" He turned and instructed Dai Zheng.

"Yes!" Dai Zheng acknowledged the order and left again.

Soon, the robots filled the surrounding snow back into the pit.

"Alright, you all can leave!" Old Qin prepared to leave with the Soldiers.

Oriental Chen finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Remember, no more exploring here!" Old Qin walked to the door of the battleship, turned back and reminded him again.

"Okay!" Oriental Chen continued to nod in agreement with him.

Old Qin withdrew his gaze and led his people back to his own aircraft.

They did not leave, preparing to see Oriental Chen off.

"Let's go!" Oriental Chen ordered.

Several battleships ascended, flying away quickly.

Afterward, Old Qin also left.

"Commander, have you found the results?" Dai Zheng asked.

"No!" Oriental Chen shook his head, his brows tightly furrowed.

"Who exactly is this Old Qin?" Dai Zheng continued to ask.

"Actually, I'm not clear either, I only know he has a very significant background. Even Speaker Bai Li Ji is very courteous to him." Oriental Chen replied distractedly, looking out the window.

"No wonder." Dai Zheng nodded.

He didn't know what Oriental Chen was here to investigate, so he didn't ask further.

"However, this Old Qin looks a bit familiar to me, as if I've seen him somewhere before." Dai Zheng changed the subject.

"Is that so? When?" Oriental Chen was still looking out the window.

"It was a long time ago, I should have still been serving in the Northwest Military Region at that time." Dai Zheng frowned in thought, but just couldn't recall.

"Normal, for such a prominent figure, sometimes it's unavoidable for you all to perform security missions." Oriental Chen replied casually.

"I remember!" Dai Zheng suddenly shouted.

"What are you doing! Startling me like that! You scared me!" Oriental Chen turned his head and looked at him askance.

"I remembered where I saw this Old Qin!" Dai Zheng's eyes gleamed.

"Where?" Oriental Chen glanced at him, asking casually.

"At Peacock River!" Dai Zheng replied.

"Mhm, mhm!" Oriental Chen nodded perfunctorily.

He disdained his unworldly expression.

"Ah, he didn't look so old back then, time truly spares no one!" Dai Zheng sighed with emotion.

"When are you talking about?" Oriental Chen asked.

"Over ten years ago." Dai Zheng said ruefully.

"What was Old Qin doing back then?" Oriental Chen asked.

"I'm not clear, at that time we received orders to rescue a group of archaeologists. Old Qin was one of them." Dai Zheng shook his head and said.

"Archaeologists?" Oriental Chen turned his face and looked at him in confusion, asking.

Soon he turned his head back, continuing to look out the window.

Old Qin definitely isn't an archaeologist.

An ordinary Expert couldn't possibly have his current identity and background.

Oriental Chen was very certain that he must have originated from the military system.

"Speaking of which, it's quite strange, they were all injured at the time, and seemed to have suffered particularly great psychological trauma. Several people were constantly trembling, and later, it seemed they all became mentally ill." Dai Zheng recalled.

Oriental Chen nodded, not interjecting.

These were all things of the past.

He had no interest in investigating matters unrelated to himself.

His thoughts remained on the Qin Emperors Mausoleum.

Old Qin's attitude today was truly abnormal.

It clearly looked like a very ordinary mausoleum, so why was he so determined to stop him?

And he insisted on seeing him leave.

Why exactly?

The Bee Queen had not actually been retrieved, she was still in the Mausoleum, just paused in her work.

Oriental Chen was hesitating whether to restart the exploration.

He had a few unanswered questions.

Firstly: The passageway was not long enough. From the exploration results, the total length of the winding passageway was only about 2000 meters, and this included the outer chamber. This was far from his estimated minimum of 30 kilometers of passageway. Such a short passageway simply couldn't contain 700,000 people.
