267: Chapter 267 Meeting with the Worker

“What? Shang Gong?” Niu Xingwang’s eyes widened when he heard Gu Qingyi’s report.

“Bring him to me. No, wait, I’ll go myself.” Niu Xingwang said.

He looked a little flustered.

“Exactly 10 minutes, Chairman Niu, you are very lucky.” The man looked at his watch and said with a smile when he saw Niu Xingwang approaching.

“This is not the place to talk. Please come with me, both of you.” Niu Xingwang ignored the man’s arrogance and stepped aside to invite them.

The man pursed his lips, nodded, and said:

“Good!”

Then the group walked into the reception room.

“Gu Qingyi, you may leave. Close the door and don’t let anyone in.” Niu Xingwang ordered.

“Understood!” Gu Qingyi nodded, then closed the door and left.

“You just said you were from Shang Gong?” Niu Xingwang asked.

“That’s right.” The man crossed his legs and said.

“But as far as I know, Shang Gong was disbanded after something happened.” Niu Xingwang said.

“You also said, that’s as far as you know.” The man smiled.

“You mean, Shang Gong is still… around?” Niu Xingwang looked a little agitated, his eyes wide.

“Your Chamber of Commerce is quite impressive. Its reputation is very big now.” The man did not answer Niu Xingwang’s question but changed the subject.

Niu Xingwang was an old hand; as soon as he heard the man’s words, he knew what he wanted.

He was preparing to ask for benefits.

“Why should I believe you?” Niu Xingwang suddenly thought of a possibility, then calmed down and asked.

He couldn’t help but suspect there was a trick. After all, his reputation was very big now, and it was normal for some people to try to take advantage of it.

“I’ll just say one thing: your son is still alive. As for whether you believe it or not, that’s for you to decide.” The man put on a take-it-or-leave-it attitude.

“He… is he really still alive?” Niu Xingwang choked up a little, his hands clenched tightly as he struggled to control himself.

“He’s alive, but his condition isn’t very good. Tsk tsk tsk, it’s tragic. He can only lie in a hospital bed now, relying on machines to keep him alive.” The man shook his head theatrically.

When Niu Xingwang heard this, his hands clenched even tighter.

His eyes were wide, staring fixedly at the man.

“You look very angry, but I suggest you restrain yourself. I, for one, have a bad temper and tend to act impulsively. If I do something uncontrollable, it won’t be good for anyone.” The man said.

“Tell me your objective.” Niu Xingwang took a deep breath and asked.

“I want 70% of the Chamber of Commerce shares.” The man said.

“Impossible!” Niu Xingwang interrupted directly.

“Then there’s nothing to discuss?” The man had expected Niu Xingwang’s answer and was not in a hurry.

“The Chamber of Commerce is not a stock-based company, nor is it officially regulated. Your demand for shares is meaningless, isn’t it? Besides, even if I gave them to you, I could simply deny it.” Niu Xingwang said.

He had to ease the atmosphere. His son was in the other party’s hands and could be in danger at any moment.

“You’re right, so since I want 70% of the shares, I naturally also want the same proportion of management rights.” The man said.

“Is this your personal action, or…?” Niu Xingwang asked.

“Hahaha, it makes no difference, because I call the shots at Shang Gong.” The man laughed.

“I want to see my son first!” Niu Xingwang said.

“Originally, I could grant your request. However, your useless son can’t withstand any more trouble. If he were to die because of it, that would be too awkward. So, I can only bring you some photos. Take a look.” The man said.

It would certainly be impossible to get management rights to the Chamber of Commerce from Niu Xingwang with just empty words, so substantial evidence was necessary.

The man gestured, and the woman accompanying him nodded, stepped forward, and handed over an envelope.

Niu Xingwang’s trembling hands quickly opened the envelope and pulled out a stack of photos.

The photos showed a young man with short hair lying in a hospital bed, eyes closed. His body was covered in various colored wires and tubes.

Niu Xingwang looked at the photos, tears streaming down his face uncontrollably.

Yes, this was his son.

“How did he become like this?” Niu Xingwang’s eyes flashed with fierce light.

“An accident.” The man did not elaborate.

Niu Xingwang did not press the issue. The most important thing now was to find a way to save his son.

“I need to consider this matter.” Niu Xingwang said.

“Alright, but you only have one day. I’ll be back at this time tomorrow, and I hope you can give me a satisfactory answer then.” The man smiled, then turned and left the office.

After the two left, Niu Xingwang contacted Oriental Chen.

Inside the main base.

Oriental Chen had been looking at the photos in his hand.

“Brother Niu, why have I never heard you mention your son before?” Oriental Chen asked.
