600: Chapter 600 Thunderstorm

The news quickly reached India-Pakistan.

India-Pakistan replied with only one word: Scram!

This was the euphemistic translation. Understood in their own language, it was a very uncivilized word, simultaneously containing three layers of meaning: 'fuck,' 'die,' and 'scram.'

The Moni Sect Leader was furious upon receiving the reply.

The situation he now faced was: if he didn't display some real strength, his entire plan would likely be affected.

"Activate the Thunderstorm and slaughter all those loathsome bugs!" the Moni Sect Leader commanded.

"Yes!" an elder obeyed and issued the order.

"Boom!"

A quarter of the entire southeastern part of Mordo was instantly covered by dark clouds, and a tremendous thunderous roar came from the sky.

Oriental Chen was shocked, and Te Chars and the Maya High Priest were also shocked.

Mordo actually had the ability to control the weather?

Everyone found it hard to believe.

Within ten minutes, the dark clouds in the sky had become extremely dense, and the ground appeared very dim.

However, the four towering buildings on the border were even taller than the cloud layer, with one-third of their tops still piercing through the dark clouds into the stratosphere.

"Crack!"

After the dark clouds accumulated to a certain extent, a blue lightning bolt pierced the air and struck directly to the ground.

The nearby bugs hit by such a powerful current instantly turned to dust.

"Crack, crack!"

Several more lightning bolts struck down, and many scorpions and mantises instantly disappeared.

"Crack, crack, crack, crack!"

The lightning began to become dense.

The scene before them was like hell.

The bugs still rushed forward quickly, with no intention of avoiding the lightning at all.

The lightning became denser and thicker, and a large number of bugs were killed, but still half of them slipped through the net.

"Mordo actually has a weapon with such destructive power?" Te Chars couldn't help but gasp when he saw this scene.

"Actually, it's not surprising. We've always known very little about them. In my opinion, this is far from their true strength," Oriental Chen said.

"You mean they still have a trump card?" Te Chars's eyes widened.

"Absolutely. Don't you find it strange? Since they have such powerful weapons, they've always been hiding. Why? Are they afraid of us? Certainly not," Oriental Chen analyzed.

"Then what do they want to do?" Te Chars asked.

"They're probably waiting," Oriental Chen said.

"Waiting for what?"

"Waiting for the right moment," Oriental Chen guessed.

"Moment?" Te Chars didn't understand.

"Think about it in reverse. If Mordo invaded Egula, what would you do?"

Te Chars answered without thinking:

"Of course, I would block them at the national border without hesitation."

"Exactly." Oriental Chen nodded.

"Mordo has known for a long time that we would unite to stop them from holding the sacrificial ceremony. So why don't they take the initiative to attack and concentrate all their forces to stop us?"

"You mean they might just be waiting for this day?" Te Chars somewhat understood.

"Highly likely. So I speculate that Mordo isn't eliminating us because the time isn't right yet, or the conditions aren't mature. If India-Pakistan hadn't caused trouble, they probably would have continued to show weakness and delay," Oriental Chen explained.

"I understand! They're going to all this trouble just to wait for the sacrificial ceremony to begin!" Te Chars realized.

"Exactly. If this hypothesis holds true, then our participation in this sacrificial ceremony is probably indispensable. It's possible that we ourselves are the sacrifices for the ceremony," Oriental Chen pushed his speculation further.

"That's highly possible!" Te Chars nodded.

"Our Great Priest's prophecy about the future actually has one more part," the Maya High Priest spoke up.

"Oh? What did the Great Priest say?" Oriental Chen asked.

"Danger comes from within," the Maya High Priest replied.

When Oriental Chen heard this, his heart sank.

"The Great Priest said that after the sacrificial ceremony, the crisis that annihilates humanity will emerge from within. He doesn't know what this 'within' refers to," the Maya High Priest explained.

Oriental Chen naturally understood what the Great Priest's prophecy referred to. It was likely that the Sirius Remnants' purpose in inducing the Moni People to hold the sacrificial ceremony was to initiate a certain event.

At this point, he recalled the information Putian Xiaoyezi had revealed earlier.

She said that the Moni Sect was holding the sacrificial ceremony to advance.

In other words, in their view, holding this ceremony could grant them higher abilities.

So, is there some connection between this upcoming event and individual abilities?

"Monga, you were there during the final period of the Venusian human extinction, weren't you? Can you describe the situation at that time in detail?" Oriental Chen asked.

He guessed that the Sirius Remnants might have used similar tactics before, or perhaps they always used the same tactic.

"I know some things," Monga said.
