61: Chapter 61 Rong Po's Face

“Commander, the research and development cabin has been set up. According to the mission plan, there are two options next: the quantum communication cabin and the main control cabin. Which one should we set up first?” Xiao Lin asked.

“Let’s set up the main control cabin first. The number of Worker Bee Robots must be increased; the current efficiency is too low,” Oriental Chen replied.

“Understood, Commander.”

The main control cabin functions similarly to a beehive in a base. It allows for multi-threaded division of labor for the Worker Bee Robots. This means Worker Bee Robots can be divided into multiple groups to perform various different tasks simultaneously. However, unlike a beehive, the main control cabin cannot produce Worker Bee Robots; it can only control them. If the number of Worker Bee Robots needs to be increased, a production cabin is required. But a production cabin uses the main control cabin as a prerequisite.

Therefore, the main control cabin must be set up first.

“How many safe houses have been built so far?”

“Three have been completed.”

“Good.”

“Commander, Fang Hua requests communication,” Xiao Lin reported.

“Connect!”

“Hello, boss. We’ve collected enough crystalss. Everyone hopes to exchange for another batch of equipment. When is a good time?” Yan Fangfang asked.

“How many?” Oriental Chen asked.

“Roughly 20,000,” Yan Fangfang replied.

“That many?” Oriental Chen was surprised.

It had only been about 20 days, yet they had collected so many crystalss, an average of 1,000 per day.

“Yes, boss. During this time, everyone has been resting, but their clothes haven’t. Three shifts, 24 hours a day, fighting,” Yan Fangfang said, sounding a bit embarrassed.

Good heavens, even a donkey on a production team couldn’t work like that!

“Aren’t you afraid of zombies attacking at night?” Oriental Chen asked, clicking his tongue.

“We have heavy firepower; we even drove tanks out,” Yan Fangfang said excitedly.

“Amazing! You are truly amazing! You’re risking everything for crystalss!” Oriental Chen was utterly impressed.

“There’s no other way, the soldiers are all crazy. They’ve been cooped up in the military camp for months, unable to kill zombies, unable to avenge their comrades, unable to protect their homes. Everyone has been holding in a breath. Now, seeing hope, they’re all fighting with their lives,” Yan Fangfang said, her voice catching a little.

“Things will get better, everything will be fine. How about this, I’ll send you a new trading location shortly, and we’ll trade there. The time can be anytime; you can just come over,” Oriental Chen said.

“Understood, boss,” Yan Fangfang said before hanging up the phone.

That afternoon, five helicopters arrived in the suburbs of Binzhou City.

To facilitate helicopter landing, Oriental Chen deliberately arranged a relatively open area.

“Instructor Yan, I heard the entire Southeast Military Region has withdrawn north. Are there still people here?” Rong Po followed, puzzled to see they were in Binzhou territory.

“Why so much nonsense? Talk less, observe more!” Yan Fangfang replied unhappily.

Looking around, Yan Fangfang walked into a courtyard.

“Welcome home!” Oriental Chen stood in the courtyard, smiling.

“Wow! Boss, why did you come out? It’s very dangerous outside, hurry back!” Yan Fangfang said, first happy to see Oriental Chen, then sternly.

She wasn't entirely motivated by concern; another reason was that Oriental Chen couldn't afford to have anything happen to him. Everyone's hope rested on him alone. If something happened to him, everyone would be lost in this tattered world.

“It’s not that bad, Sister Yan. Don’t I even get a chance to come out for some fresh air? This is worse than prisoners in jail,” Oriental Chen said with a wry smile.

“No, get in, hurry and get in!” Yan Fangfang didn't listen at all, pushing him through the door.

Alright, her Holy Mother syndrome was acting up again.

“Wait a minute! I haven’t counted the crystalss yet. If the quantity isn’t enough, I’ll suffer a huge loss,” Oriental Chen said helplessly, clinging to the doorframe.

“Why are you such a money grubber! A force of 200,000 from the Southwest Military Region, would they short you a few measly coins?” Yan Fangfang continued to berate him.

“Yan Fangfang! I warn you, don’t push me!…” Oriental Chen pretended to be angry.

“Instructor Yan, is it… is it here…?” Rong Po called out loudly as he walked in, then quickly lowered his voice when he saw the scene before him.

“Instructor Yan, did I come at a bad time…?” Rong Po felt a bit intimidated; this scene was a bit… undignified.

Seeing something he shouldn’t have, would Instructor Yan silence him?

Rong Po felt a surge of guilt.

Rong Po’s shout interrupted the two people’s argument.

Yan Fangfang quickly pulled her hand back and straightened her clothes.

Oriental Chen walked out of the door, his face not red, his breathing steady, as if nothing had happened.

“You are Rong Po?” Oriental Chen said.

“You know me?” Rong Po was puzzled.

He hadn't met the young man in front of him, and he was even wearing a hood. How could he recognize him?

“Of course, I know you. You’re the captain of the Zhanfeng Assault Team!” Oriental Chen said with a smile.

“Instructor Yan, who is he?” Rong Po turned to ask Yan Fangfang, ignoring Oriental Chen.

“He, he’s the boss here,” Yan Fangfang replied.

“Boss? Could it be…?” Rong Po was very surprised. Was the boss so young?

“That’s right!” Yan Fangfang replied.

“Hello, boss! You’re so handsome, boss!” Rong Po immediately changed his expression, eagerly stepping forward to shake hands.

This series of actions even left Yan Fangfang stunned.

Rong Po, where’s your dignity?
