444: Chapter 444 You Should Accept Reality

“By the way, how did you end up on Pearl Island?” Colonel Weber asked.

“We came to clear out the zombies,” Tannai Zhifu said lightly.

“Clear out zombies?? Tannai, you’re quite the joker. Have you finished clearing out the zombies in your East Island Country?” Weber sounded like he had heard the biggest joke.

“Yes,” Tannai Zhifu nodded calmly.

“What? Tannai, your joke isn't funny at all!” Seeing Tannai Zhifu’s calm reply, Weber felt he might be telling the truth.

“Colonel Weber, this is not a joke. Not only Great Sun Country itself, but even the Southeast Asian countries have been almost completely cleared by us,” Tannai Zhifu said with great pride.

Showing off in front of a United States of America colonel was incredibly satisfying.

He loved seeing their uncultured expressions.

“Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Those are zombies! How could you possibly clear them out?” Colonel Weber was no longer calm.

“Haha, Colonel Weber, you should accept this reality. Just last night, we basically cleared out the zombies on Pearl Island as well,” Tannai Zhifu dropped another bombshell.

Colonel Weber froze, and the dozen or so subordinates standing beside him also froze.

They had been ‘battling wits and courage’ with the zombies on this island for a year, and thought living until now was an impressive achievement, but compared to these short people from East Island Country, they were not on the same level at all.

“No, no, no, I don’t believe it! Why didn’t we hear any commotion last night?”

“Perhaps your location here is too remote.”

“No, no, no, at least we should have heard gunshots!”

“Frankly, the guns we use are very quiet.”

“Someone, give Colonel Weber a demonstration,” Tannai Zhifu said, beckoning to the side.

“Chirp~”

Without a word, a Soldier directly fired at a nearby sign.

A beam of red light flashed, and a hole about 5 centimeters in diameter was shot through the sign.

Colonel Weber strode over to the sign and looked at it. It was indeed pierced through, and the area around the hole looked like it had been melted by high heat.

“Oh, God! What kind of weapon is this?” Weber walked up to the Soldier, wanting to take it and look.

The Soldier quickly took two steps back, not letting him succeed.

With two armies facing each other, it was better to be careful.

“It’s fine, give it to him!” Tannai Zhifu commanded.

Only then did the Soldier raise his hand and hand the gun to Weber.

Weber picked up the gun, examining it from all angles, finding it large and clunky.

He didn't like this design.

He turned his head, locked onto a scrapped car in the distance as a target, raised the gun, and aimed.

The buttstock pressed firmly against his right chest, he adjusted to the feel, and aimed again.

“Chirp~”

A shot was fired, and a hole was also made in the scrapped car.

“Hmm?”

“No recoil at all!”

“Although the design is not commendable, I have to say, this gun has a great advantage,” the officer said, returning the gun.

“Colonel Weber, what is the situation in the United States of America currently?” Tannai Zhifu changed the subject.

“I don’t know. We lost contact with our country half a year ago,” Weber shook his head.

“Our mission this time is to go to the United States of America. Do you plan to stay here, or come back with us?”

“What? Tannai, you can’t do that. This is our United States of America territory, you are invading!” Weber shook his head.

“Colonel Weber, this is not a discussion. We are definitely going, you can only decide whether to follow us,” Tannai Zhifu said seriously.

Weber knew that with only a dozen or so of them, they couldn't stop him.

“Tannai, can you tell me what your mission in the United States of America is?”

“Of course. Our plan is to clear out the zombies,” Tannai Zhifu replied.

“I don’t understand, why would you travel all the way to the United States of America to clear out zombies?” Weber asked.

“Of course, for crystalss.”

“crystalss? What are those?”

Although Weber and his men had fought zombies for a year, due to their severe fear of the virus, they had not studied the corpses, leading to their complete ignorance of crystalss.

“It’s something that grows inside a zombie’s head,” Tannai Zhifu took out a crystals and handed it over.

“What’s this for?” Weber took the crystals, looked at it, and asked.

“Sorry, I don’t know either,” Tannai shrugged.

“Don’t know?” Weber didn’t believe him.

“It’s true. I only know that this Laser Gun, and this patrol ship, both need crystalss to operate. But how it’s specifically achieved, I’m not clear,” Tannai Zhifu replied.

“Alright! So, it’s a strategic material for you?” Weber said, looking at the crystals.

“Exactly!” Tannai Zhifu nodded in confirmation.

Weber was silent for a moment, then overjoyed.

“Oh, that’s great! Tannai, let’s go, we’ll set off now.”

“Weren’t you just trying to stop me?” Tannai Zhifu asked.

“No, no, no, not only am I not stopping you now, I hope you go quickly.”

Tannai Zhifu smiled slightly.

Weber must have thought that Great Sun Country going to the United States of America to clear out zombies was beneficial to both sides.

“Alright, then board the ship, we’re ready to depart!”
