438: Chapter 438 Alien Life Laboratory
Valetov paced back and forth, deep in thought.
“To be honest, Mr. Valetov, I could also help you build the survival bases on the east bank of the Volga River, or even in the North Siberia region, but I don’t think there’s any fundamental difference,” Oriental Chen said.
“Because once you lose defensive capability, nowhere is a safe haven.”
These words enlightened Valetov.
It was true; if he didn't defend, the entire North Siberia would eventually be conquered.
No matter where the survival base was built, the outcome would be the same.
“Mr. Dongfang, how confident are you?” Valetov asked.
“Ninety percent!” Oriental Chen replied.
“Good! Let’s do it!” Seeing Oriental Chen’s confidence, Valetov no longer hesitated.
“One more thing, Mr. Valetov, you mentioned the hibernation pod earlier…?” Oriental Chen was still somewhat interested in the hibernation pod.
“Oh, that spaceship is currently in a national laboratory in Krastov Oblast. Here is the location information.” Valetov took a small piece of paper from his pocket with coordinates and specific address information on it.
“How about this, I won’t take advantage of you. I’ll give you an additional 100,000 simulated robots for each base,” Oriental Chen said, taking the card.
“Thank you so much!” Valetov smiled in gratitude.
This space fship was not very useful to him, as scientists had been studying it for 100 years. Generations of people had tried and failed to understand it, and continuing to research it would yield the same results.
However, he guessed that this spaceship relic would be very attractive to Oriental Chen.
Because he suspected that Oriental Chen's rapid rise and his effortless production of technological products that did not belong to this era likely meant he had deciphered some alien civilization.
It now seemed his guess was largely accurate.
After the matters were settled, both parties signed a host of contracts, including the underground base construction agreement, loan agreement, and mortgage agreement.
With the procedures complete, Valetov bid farewell and departed.
Afterward, Oriental Chen dispatched Dai Zheng to Olos Country.
They first arrived at the occupied territory and deployed the Bee Queen in the designated areas.
The five confirmed construction sites were: St. Petersburg, Okulovka, Moscow, Safro, and October City, located in the deep rear on the east bank of the Volga River.
After deployment, they went directly to the national laboratory Valetov had mentioned.
In the middle section of the Brus Mountain range on the east bank of the Black Sea, there is a small town called Terny Ao.
That national laboratory was located there.
“Captain, is this it?” a Special Operations Team member asked.
Before them was a two-story building that looked quite old.
Above the main entrance of the building was a sign with a string of Oros characters, which no one recognized.
However, from the surrounding environment, it appeared to have been abandoned for a long time.
“Let’s go inside and see!” Dai Zheng said.
The dozen-person Special Operations Team activated their Combat Suits, picked up their Laser Guns, and cautiously entered the building.
It was very dark inside, but fortunately, their Digital Eyes had night vision.
“Team 1, clear.”
“Team 2, clear.”
...
Everyone scouted every corner of the first-floor hall and found no dangers.
After confirming it was clear, Dai Zheng walked to the side elevator entrance.
This was the only potential entrance in the hall.
The elevator appeared to be encrypted, as there was a password input and card swipe window above the buttons.
However, it was currently unusable due to a lack of power.
Dai Zheng picked up a briefcase and opened it.
Inside was a large screen, and to the right of the screen was a small box with two buttons, one red and one green.
Dai Zheng pressed the green button, and the screen lit up.
“Activating detector…”
“Activation successful. Matching image…”
“Image matching successful.”
As the prompts flashed continuously, the screen lit up, displaying the interior of the elevator.
There was an operating stick at the bottom of the screen. Dai Zheng moved the stick, and the image began to extend downwards.
This meant the miniature robot received the command and began to descend the elevator shaft for reconnaissance.
5 meters, 10 meters, 20 meters, 50 meters…
The robot kept going down, but the elevator shaft seemed bottomless.
It wasn't until 300 meters that it reached an exit.
The miniature robot was very small; it could pass through even the tiniest gap.
The perspective shifted, and another door came into view.
It appeared to be for a second identity verification and security check.
After passing through the security door, there was a rectangular, circular hall inside.
The hall seemed to have at least several hundred desks, haphazardly arranged to form a maze-like corridor.
Computer screens were placed on the desks, along with various disorganized folders.
There was a staircase in the center of the circular hall leading to the lower level.
When the robot reached the edge of the circular hall and looked down, the scene instantly awed everyone.
Below was empty space.
A giant glass cover, pieced together from tempered glass panels, encased a massive flying machine wreckage.
Clearly, this was the place Oriental Chen was looking for—the laboratory for studying alien life.
