"How far have these Antss advanced in half an hour?" Team Leader Fan asked.

"Not far, I've been observing them. After advancing a certain distance, they stopped moving forward," the captain replied.

After giving his instructions, Team Leader Fan rushed back.

"Mayor Xu, I have an important situation to report to you," Team Leader Fan said to Mayor Xu Zhongshan of Jingmen City via the office phone.

"Go on," Mayor Xu said.

"It's like this, we just discovered a large number of giant Antss outside the city, approaching the Settlement," Team Leader Fan said.

"Giant Antss? How many?" Mayor Xu asked.

"They cover the mountains and fields, as far as the eye can see!" Team Leader Fan replied.

There was no response from the other end of the phone.

Half a minute later...

"I'm coming over immediately!" Mayor Xu said.

Mayor Xu was at the Baisha Shelter in Jiangbei, across the river from the Changjing Shelter.

There was a cross-river bridge between the two Settlements: the Changjing Bridge.

It would take Mayor Xu about half an hour to drive from Baisha Shelter to here.

An hour later, Mayor Xu stood on the city wall on the south side of the Changjing Shelter.

Within that hour, the Antss had not advanced.

"Have they remained still?" Mayor Xu asked.

"Yes! They've been there for over an hour," the captain reported.

Mayor Xu frowned.

He wasn't sure what these Antss intended to do, or if they would attack the Settlement.

"Do you have any Experts in biology here?" Mayor Xu asked.

"The medical team should have some!" Team Leader Fan replied.

"Go find a few and bring them over," Mayor Xu instructed.

"Alright! I'll go right away!" Team Leader Fan turned and left.

Another half hour passed.

Team Leader Fan returned to the city wall with three people.

"Mayor Xu, I've brought the people," Team Leader Fan said.

"Doctors, please don't be nervous. I've called you here today because I'd like to hear your opinions on something. Please take a look first," Mayor Xu said politely, then handed the binoculars in his hand to one of the doctors.

The doctor took the binoculars and looked in the direction Mayor Xu indicated.

"Hiss~"

The sight before him startled him.

The doctors next to him took turns looking through the binoculars.

From the expressions on their faces, it was clear the situation was not optimistic.

"Doctors, my question is, are these Antss dangerous?" Mayor Xu asked.

"This..." The doctors exchanged glances, unsure what to say.

"Don't be nervous, just say what comes to mind," Mayor Xu encouraged, though it was clear he was anxious.

"Mayor Xu, from the appearance of the Antss, they strongly resemble a common Ants found here: the Odontomachus inermis ant. The most typical characteristic of this Ants is its wide mouth. It's just that... it's just that..." one doctor stammered.

"Just what?" Mayor Xu asked anxiously.
